Gameplay > Soundtrack > Story > Graphics
Gameplay > Soundtrack > Story > Graphics
Gameplay > Story > Graphics > Soundtrack
Graphix >>>>>>>>> everything
Gameplay > Color Palette >>> Soundtrack > "Graphics" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Story
this
You're 100% correct. Video Games are closer to music as an artform than movies.
Gameplay>Graphics>Replayablility>Soundtrack>Story>Reviews
depends on the genre
Gameplay > Sound/Art Direction = Story > GRAFIX
if it's a JRPG or something though, sound/art/story are pretty important
Playing division right now shit has no story but gameplay is addicting w friends
>w friends
Everything is more fun with friends.
yes..
but, story isnt that important to me, and art direction > graphics, so it would be
Gameplay>Sountrack>=Art direction>Story
Gameplay > Sound > Graphics >>> Story
Games are for gameplay. Good visuals and sound can significantly add to the experience of gameplay, story should just be there as the vehicle of the gameplay but should not be the main focus.
For example Asura's Wrath has excellent story, characters, visuals and even sound but I wouldn't consider it a "good" game because you don't even get to actually play the cool parts of the game and the parts where you do the combat is trash. It would've worked better as an anime.
Gameplay > Story > Soundtrack > Graphics
A seriously memorable game and/or story can enhance your enjoyment of the soundtrack/graphics, but very scarcely does it work the other way around.
Gameplay = Story = Graphics = Soundtrack = World Building = Writing = Level Design
Bring your all or stay the fuck home.
Op is correct. Game has to be fun first and foremost. Soundtrack is key to make an experience more enjoyable. Story is what separates games but it's not the most important feature (ex: two games with comparable gameplay / sound design, 9 times out of 10 the one with better story > better graphics.)
> atmosphere > gamplay > story
First playthrough: Gameplay > Soundtrack > Story > Graphics
Multiple playthroughs: Gameplay > Graphics > Sound Design > Soundtrack = Story
Actually depends on the game, here are a few examples
>Doom
>Tekken
>Unreal Tournament
>Starcraft
>Ori
>Minecraft
>Chivalry
>Bloodborne
gameplay > soundtrack = graphics > story
>Fire Emblem
>Dead Space
>Metro 2033
>God of War 1 and 3
>Assassin's Creed 2
>Resident Evil
>Witcher 2 and 3
>Castlevania: LoS
story > graphics >= soundtrack > gameplay
>Diablo II
>Duke Nukem
>Prince of Persia
>Dishonored
>Darkest Dungeon
>Mankind Divided
>MGS
story = gameplay >= soundtrack > graphics
etc
just sticking to one category and always putting one criteria above all others is just autistic
Gameplay>soundtrack=artstyle>story>graphics
I'd place Graphics above Story but otherwise you're right.
For console games?
Story > gameplay > graphics > soundtrack
If it doesn't have an engaging story, I'm not playing it, simple as that. If I were solely playing something for gameplay, I must be on miniclip or some phone app playing some garbage for free, definitely not spending money on it.
Animation>>Sound>>Mechanics>>Stylistic Graphics>>Soundtrack>>Story>>Technical Graphics
>Soundtrack=Story>gameplay>graphics
FTFY
Gameplay=Soundtrack=Replayability(sp, and MP)>Story>>>>>>>>"Muh Graphis"
Gameplay > Porn > Soundtrack > Story > Graphics
why the fuck would you add reviews you teen with angst
