When I look at other boards, I see off topic threads and threads that are on topic. When I browse the front page of Sup Forums, I see nothing but shit posting and baiting threads like this one that have nothing to do with the spirit of the board or its topic.

What can we do to stop this rampant faggorty? Are all these posts coming from another company back troll center? Are they coming from a few person and bots? The problem isn't the content of the subject, since all boards have some amount of shit posting and off topic things, but this is excessive.

When you're a kid and super limited as to what you can play because you have no income and just need to wait for your parents to buy stuff for you you kind of treasure each experience you can get a lot more. Growing older and having choices and free games on Steam or PSN thrown at you kind of diminishes that feeling of having to take what you get so each individual experience becomes slightly less significant in the grand scope.

Also having other people to talk to about games in the past likely played a big part as well. Now gamers just seem like absolute shits by default who just want to argue with everyone about politics, SJWs, console wars and other petty forced feuds that got played out years ago so it's probably actually a huge drain on the fun factor sitting there trying to talk to them and having them just spew complete shit back at you about why everything sucks, you suck and how much they apparently hate the world. Not much of an environment that promotes fun.

Some of it's on the industry, especially Triple A game publishers practices in the 2010, but a lot of it is also on the fanbase games have now especially online and the baggage they carry around everywhere. Besides that it's just a factor of growing up. I didn't think I'd ever stop watching anime for example even 5 years ago and now I can't understand why I'd ever have watched it in the first place at 32 for example.

this is something I thought many years ago, I think the problem are the trailers, a good trailer should show you a little bit of the gameplay, scenarios, dialogues and graphics. But now they show us almost the whole thing with every secret included, if it not appears in the first trailer, they will show us in the next one, also every game now has dlc. So they kill the hype, the feeling of discovering somehting by yourself, there are also tons of reviewers and youtubers shitting on the game or sucking his dick.

Games should be a discovery at every moment, thats the fun about them, I think its ok to reveal something, but pls not the whole thing.
