2 weeks in, 50+ hours and at the final dungeon. I say I took my time.
I haven't played since last week when I finished that second Mementos mission. That KoF update had me practicing again.
Just finished the 3rd dungeon. 40 hours in right now.
This is my first persona game, and man is it comfy.
I plan on playing the other personas and mainline stuff that's on the PSN store afterward.
Also I love Makoto and Sadayo so much. Also just unlocked shogi girl and she made the dick in my heart skip a beat
>Also I love Makoto and Sadayo so much. Also just unlocked shogi girl and she made the dick in my heart skip a beat
You are literally me.
How do these 2D women have such a powerful effect on my feels
I am taking my time too, been playing since the day it came out and still on June. I just don't want the game to end.
How feasible is it to do all the social links on your first play though? I'm thinking of ignoring devil, sun, and maybe tower to make sure I get to do all the social links I want.
You are me. I am you.
You gotta follow a guide perfectly or you won't get it, you have about 1-2 weeks of leeway because social stat levels take longer to grind and characters have ridiculous stat requirements to start their social links. I'd say just enjoy your first playthrough and save 100% for your NG+
I got the game on release day and I'm only 15 hours into it. I have a job.
Taking my time here in a different way.
I've been doing dungeons mostly in 1 or 2 days and hang out with the buddies for the rest of the month.
>tfw going through the entire bank in one night
That was fucking miserable with all the oni's and those ones on the first floor who were only weak to light. I ended up running from half my battles and I still ate up a lot of sp items
Same but I'm like 5 hours into it
>75 hours
>still only at Okumura's boss fight
I think I'm just slow.
Gotta ruin your first playthrough by following a guide to the letter.
Also don't ignore sun and tower. They're both useful, Sun more so. Focus on getting your stats up to max.
Finished it months ago with 130 hours
Was so good.
I think I've been doing pretty okay on stats so far
I'm at the bank deadline and everything is at 3 except for knowledge which is at 4 and I'm petty sure that charm and kindness are getting close to 4 as well.
Sun is probably the most useful Confidant in the game, and he's esay to max out
me, minus this being my first persona game
>go as far as I can in a dungeon
>still lots of SP
>always have a hard time deciding if I should use it up or just take off
It's only taking me so long because I gotta talk to almost every fucking NPC after any story event.
Fuck
How the fuck are you supposed to beat the twins?
user, you gotta learn how to use status affecting abilities. They actually make a difference in this game unlike previous entries.
> Confuse an enemy and watch the money come rolling in as you just keep confusing them when their status wears out.
Is there a recommended time to go into mementos if I'm trying to be efficient? I've been completely ignoring it and I figured I should keep ignoring it until a confidant requires me to go into it if I want to maximize my free time.
I've had this feeling too, but I don't feel that it's all that worth it unless it's one of the final two dungeons, if you're doing it for leveling purposes.
Only reason to stay in is to get money or collect personas and keep the fusion train going.
This fucking game got me to stop dodging my IRL resposibilities.
I can't play too much of it in one sitting, I feel the need to play it episodically like if it were an anime I was watching. All this bullshit with social links like working out with Ryuji and getting a job made me actually start working out while managing my other shit.
Even that's not greatly efficient because multiple confidants will require you to go in after someone. So if you're waiting on that, you might end up going in unnecessarily.
I've found a good time to go is if;
1.) You have a good chunk of missions to accomplish (At least 5)
2.) The last time you went was before you completed another dungeon
If you don't have missions and areas aren't opened up, there's really not much reward for venturing in there other than some items, treasures, personas and checkpoints which you would get anyway if you went in efficiently.
26hrs in, sending 2nd calling hard, hard
I only get like 2-3 hrs on a typical night. A couple nights so far have been spent almost purely on cutscenes. Fell asleep playing once. I'm not holding it against the game though, still GOAT.
source?
100 hours in and I haven't recruited the last party member.
Does Sakura's confidant only level up past certain dates?
Yeah, level 4 is locked to after the 4th dungeon's time limit is up, and then levels 5+ are locked behind rank 5 Kindness.
Gotta beat the 4th dungeon before it will advance past 3
How do I get kindness up quickly?
Easy, just use the fortune confidant abilities.
You rank Sakura's confidant up to 10 because you keep getting lots of kindness at each level!
>rank 5 Kindness.
Fuck, I knew neglecting that was going to come back to bite me.
Every stat must be maxed for all the confidants, there's only about 5-6 days of leeway possible to max out everything in your first playthrough so honestly just focus on maxing as many stats as possible on playthrough 1 so NG+ you can max your social links with weeks and months of spare time.
All I do during my free time is call Kawakami, take baths and eat big burgers. All you need are stats first playthrough
Its easy to do both since the best way to raise some stats is through confidants, like how he could get reach the kindness requirement by doing the tower confidant.
There's less than a week of total leeway while minmaxing a first playthrough to complete everything in one go. There's definitely enough to max 2-3 stats easily, maybe a 4th if you work at it hard while maxing most s.links on an initial playthrough, but it's still so tight that you're going to have a radically easier time on NG+ to max everything.
I just started the third palace and got Makoto. I want to sex her so bad despite usually being a hipster about the popular waifus.
I'm playing on normal, but I still get RNG'd from time to time. I got Makoto at level 18, but she was level 21-ish. Am I underleveled? Should I be doing that Mementos shit? I really don't want to because it reminds me of chalice dungeons.
mementos is mandatory for true end
What's the best way to rank up each social stat?
You should REALLY be doing Mementos, it's gonna bite you in the ass if you don't.
Just check the Thieves Guild to compare your level to the rest of the playerbase.
Can you even break or reverse any social link in this one?
> I want to sex her so bad despite usually being a hipster about the popular waifus.
Seriously, why do people let their judgement be affected by something as trivial as popularity? just fucking enjoy whatever the fuck it is you like. I bet this was also your first persona game.
Full time job and still have over a hundred hours chasing NG+ platinum.
Sleep is for the weak or the dead.
Where can you read books at night? The sofa doesn't seem to work.
Don't be such a snob. If some faggots started acting like faggots about something I like, then that something will remind me of faggots.
With Makoto, I am that faggot.
the chair in front of the counter
>Sojiro's rank 7 event requires max kindness
>Still gives you points in kindness afterwards
Why
But muh knowledge and charisma
>Guts
Big Bang Burger challenge, Tae confidant.
>Knowledge
Practically everything, it's the most readily available stat to improve. Studying during rainy days is good, study at the diner to get bonuses for a second stat too.
>Charm
Bath house, working at Crossroads, the fruit shake at the diner.
>Kindness
Feed your plant, work at the flower shop.
>Proficiency
Crafting, batting, fishing, Iwai confidant, books.
persona set in america when
Is there a mementos request for hippo guy at the school gate?

>in a third world country
Hopefully never, part of the charm is the Japanese school setting.
Who is best husbando and why is it Foreign Barker?
I need help for end game
Currently the day of reckoning, beaten the first two angel bosses. Is there any way to actually buy gear now?
no
Adding on to this
>Knowledge
Hifumi confidant
>Charm
Ohya and Yoshida confidant
>Kindness
Shinya confidant
>about to start the casino
>150+ hours
I, is this think including the time the ps4 is in rest mode? Cus I swear, it doesn't feel like Ive played for that long
for the same reason you still get response points on the rank 10 conversations.
this was insanely frustrating.
Fuck, I have no supplies. Here's hoping i dont need any.
How is that even possible? I was at like 30 hours at the Casino and I wasn't rushing anything
Nope, and consumables don't carry over to ng+ so if you had more than you need you pretty much are just flushing money down the toilet
>150+ hours
What the fuck are you even doing?
In a different place than I was when I first played Persona 3 and 4 so i'm taking my time by necessity. Really loving it though, got my weekend cleared to play it and will probably play it a lot this week since I only work Monday-Wednesday due to medical appointments and will need to rest at home.
There've been times where I would play during the "evening" parts and I would take a nap while this plays.
>48 hours and i just got to the piramid
I sure do like taking my time.
...
I'm halfway through September with 75 hours and I honestly can't recall playing that much. I know for a fact it doesn't count rest mode or any time the XMB is open, so if you even just hold the PS buttonand the popout PS4 screen appears it'll stop the timer.
When is Atlus going to acknowledge that Persona and mainline SMT take place in the same universe?
I've been playing since it came out in Japanese and I only just beat it
When you educate yourself, you mong.
Wow, you really did everything.
>Kuzunoha clans an established thing in Persona 2
>Main villain in Raidou 1 is from the Order of Messiah and goes back in time to prevent the Great Cataclysm
Really makes you think.
Are the Phantom Thieves JUST?
user: FUCK
Exactly. But Raidou saved the day and created the Persona/Devil Summoner timeline.
laaaaaaaaame roflmao
user: >Prolly
But if Raidou 14 stopped Raidou 40 doesn't that mean the Great Cataclysm is bound to happen?
Of course not! kek

Akechi-kun is right!
akechi being a traitor and wildcard is stupid.
no wonder they don't want to let you share or stream.
Devil summoner guy stops it.
>tfw 80+ hours and now in the fifth Palace
What the fuck? Did you just sleep every chance you get?
>100 hours at 6th palace
granted like 10-15 of those are afk while fapping and playing CS and FF14
I just wikied this shit cause I thought you might be messing with me.
Apparently Thorman dies of a heart attack in Devil Summoner.
Great Cataclysm averted I guess.
>Thorman dies of a heart attack
RIP true American hero ;_;7
>tfw fucked the doctor
>futaba is a qt 3.14
>cant go out with her unless i want to get bashed on Vday
i could just fuck everyone and do a pure run in NG+
>Morgana is part of you
>still tells you not to do that tonight
fuck japan.
How did you know that I idled sometimes while playing XIV?
