PS Vita thread

I am buying an OLED with an 8gb tomorrow for $75. I figured this won't be enough and am looking at a 32gb. Where's the best place to go, and are there any sales at Amazon or GS or other retailers often?

I got it with the FW 3.55 so I plan on modding and using the spoof for remote. Any recommended games? Any emulators for SNES or Genesis?

>buying a vita
enjoy your weebshit, fag.

>buy a Vita
>Play gravity Rush
>It's ugly as FUCK.
>Disgusting colour scheme
>Jaggies out the ass
>Laughable textures for every model
>The characters facial expressions have about 3 frames of animation
>The games full of fucking gimmicks like swiping the touch screen to fucking dodge and gyro controls (remember when Sony tards would shitpost gimmicky stuff?)

I truly can't believe i fell for this meme. The main gravity mechanic is really fucking cool though.

I want it for remote play and emulators and of course some weeb games, so yeah.

I'm actually playing GR2 on PS4 as I write this. The camera is fucking ass on that too.

For $75 I figure it's a good enough deal for the things I want. Plus the OLED screen looks sweet. Any other games you like on the system?

remote playing some games is good as fuck
like persona 5, the best

Honestly there isn't much I've liked. I'm not a weeb so 90% of the library doesn't appeal to me.

I've unironically mostly played Duke Nukem and pinball on my vita.

That's what I've heard, and people say it plays great.

What size memory card? Where's the cheapest to find like 32gb?

I was lucky enough to get my vita off some dumb bitch on eBay. I got a 16gb and 8gb card with the Vita for less than the price of a Vita alone. Dumb slag didn't know the value of the overpriced cards.

Do ANY brick & mortar stores sell Vita stuff anymore? I can't find it anywhere but fucking eBay and CL.

Now that you mention it, I've actually never seen a Vita in a store before.

>Buying a Vita in 2017

Lmaoing at you

>tfw no monster hunter for vita

Hey OP. I've owned a Vita for about 3 years now.
It's super easy to install Vita, PSP and lots of retro games now.

For SNES and Genesis and other older systems all you need to do is install Retroarch.

For PSP and PS1 games you need to install Adrenaline.

I recommend buying a 64gb memory card btw.

>tfw on 3.63
f-fuck

Don't forget you are limited to >3.60 games. Go look at vitagen's chart.

Otherwise P4G, Soul Sacrifice, Taiko V would be my first three recs.

What sort of games are you gonna play on it?

personally I think 8GB is enough, there are very few Vita games I'd like to play and mostly just use it for emulation with that godly dpad

you can get ARK for PSP games and a handful of other emulators

Can I load up a patched .ISO of FFT: WoTL via ARK?

If the ISO itself is patched yes, but I'm not sure about getting plugins working.

Are there any benefits for being on 3.63? I feel like I'm missing out by not being on 3.60.

To be honest, I buy all my PSN games anyway, and my Vita collects dust at this point. Any recommendations?

You can play new games. 3.60fags can't play anything for firmwares 3.61 onwards.

>new games
Such as? Like I said, I rarely use the damn thing, so I have no idea what's new. My Vita is a glorified Final Fantasy handheld machine.

pfft, I don't know. I'm this fag

How do I install psp games on henkaku?

wait for adrenaline-3 to come out, it's promised this weekend

...

The best MH game

Why do you think that?

It's the only one I've played

>adrenaline-3
What's this do over adrenaline(-1)?

How easy is it to hack a vita?, i've hacked my 3ds and wii u before so i'm not a huge retard on the subject

Play 4U, my man. What are you, a poorfag, or something?

Better compatibility for PSP games and PS1 support with sound. Some other assorted bits and bobs too like savestates.

by far the easiest
henkaku.xyz

Sold my 3DS because I realised I wasn't interested in any of the games for it and pokemon+animal crossing were shit

you got memed on. there are no fucking games.

i fell for it too, the only thing i've played on it is rogue legacy but you can get that anywhere

I've had a Vita since launch and only just recently got a PS4. Remote play has breathe new life into it. Portable Yakuza 0 is fucking comfy. Fuck Sony for not letting us customize the controls though, upper backtouch is awkward to use. I'd rather use upper touchscreen for L2+R2 and lower back touch for L3+R3.

Because of how easy it is to hack now.. You can play every Vita, PSP, PS1 and older gen console games now.
That's a massive library of games.

The no games meme doesn't work.

>PS1
not until adrenaline-3 is out

and don't give me that retroarch bullshit, retroarch is awful

The only games you can play on a Vita that you couldn't play on a PSP are Vita games.
The only reason to buy a Vita is to play Vita games.
The Vita's library is heavily dependent on personal preference and ownership of other platforms so yeah, for some people there really is no reason to buy a Vita.

>You can play every Vita,
but like i just said there are none
>PSP, PS1 and older gen console games
if you don't already have a hacked PSP you can get one for like 50 cents now. and it's less of a pain in the ass to set up than adrenaline.

also everything i own can play SNES roms. you might as well say it has a screen.

so yeah. if you don't already have approximately 672 devices that can play PS1 isos and SNES roms, a vita might be a sensible purchase

:>

how easy is piracy on on vita, have a 8gb mem card and am on 3.60 firmware
