ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR REALISTIC MUSKET COMBAT???
No one talking about this

graphics looks like its from the 1860s too tbqh
But we already have MB Napoleonic Wars
Napoleonic wars is already a thing, and theres a civl war mod for it
>american civil war
>burger civil war
looks scripted as fuck, it'll never be that organized in the real world plus muskets are a meme tier weapon that shouldn't have ever existed
>waiting for 60 seconds to reload a single shot
no thanks
>realistic musket combat
We already have CSGO.
>multiplayer
KYS
This game is made by the same people that made that mod.
Can I use a kentucky long rifle
>American civil war
I just want to defend Robespierre's innocent smile.
go play AC Unity and murder him instead
>american civil war
i'm not even american and it fucking pain me to know about it along with independance and other crap because of american tv shows and cartoons that keep showing their culture and such, it's not even interesting to learn about it
Finally there will be a game set in Maryland besides The Suffering
>American civil war
You murder robespierre in AC unity?
But he was a good guy!
>looks scripted as fuck, it'll never be that organized in the real world
If you had ever played Napoleonic wars of MM before that it wouldn't seem that outlandish to you.
People got pretty obesessive about formation fighting in that.
>me American civil war XddxdXD
Put me in me le screencap !
American civil war is interesting, just sad because good guys lost
Way to pick the most aesthetically boring war. The 11 minutes of footage already shows all the potential variation.
I'll give it a miss.
fuck you, its criminally underused in both videogames and film
it set the undertone in the good, bad and the ugly and there's a reason the film is considered some of the best cinema ever
>Fighting for Slavery
>Good guys
kek
There needs to be a single player game about the civil war, I think. Needs good gameplay, but a lot of the drama involved with it would do it good. It really was a country split in half, brothers often had to fight brothers, many people didn't agree with the cause they were forced to fight for. Today we have terrorist groups trying to take over a country and we pretend it's a civil war.
hurr durr
>film
Nigga you ever walked into the movie section of walmart? They're a dime a dozen.
Reason they're not well known is because the setting is booooorrriiiiinnngggg
>its criminally underused in both videogames and film
In video games? Sure.
In film? No way bub.
i'm not ameriburger myself so there is no abundance of the films. my country also had civil war so as a theme it is relatable.
If only Lincoln had lived. Reconstruction would've gone properly.
Can't wait for a team of 50 confederates against 12 union players because who the fuck wants to play union?
People who don't want to play a game where reloading tales a minute, that's fucking who. History nerds who play history games would want to play confederate as would international players.
This shit's doomed from the start.
A Declaration of the Immediate Causes which Induce and Justify the Secession of the State of Mississippi from the Federal Union.
>Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world.
Kill yourself
So stop consuming American media and create your own! I'm sure the world is eager to see your whatever
I'm hype muskets are my fucking fetish
You can watch those films online I'm sure but you wouldn't want to because they suck.
As I said, it's an uninteresting war.
>Reaslistic musket combat
>shoot once hitting nothing
>Reload for a minute
>Can't make 2nd shot because everything you see is smoke.
Sounds reallly appealing...
American Civil War eh? No thanks.
The muskets used in the civil war were rifled. They take slightly longer to reload but were perfectly accurate.
I came in here expecting Napoleon-chan. Yankee war is passable, had some incredibly brutal battles, but I still feel cheated.
>reloading tales a minute
Just about 20 seconds should do, if I remember correctly.
>Confederate soldiers use revolvers exclusively
>Every union soldier equips a henry rifle
>1:59 dat death animations
I kek'd so hard.
Also
>cryengine
Lagfest incoming
how can we make muskets balanced and work well in video games?
should the bullets be pinpoint 100% accurate and have it a guaranteed 1 shot kill at torso/head but be an overtime killer if shot at limbs because of lead poisoning?
>inb4 answered my own question
>A well drilled volunteer could load in 25 or 30 seconds. A poorly drilled but experienced shooter could take more time or less time. Either one could move quicker or slower due to the adrenaline rush of being shot at as opposed to drilling.
>the war that invented the all american sport
>uninteresting
>uninteresting war invents an uninteresting sport
golly gee
It should always be an instant kill considering how long they take to reload.
>play vid
>yankee cuckolds winning the engagement
Pass
>Inventing variation of rounders
Do you think they had dank memes back then too?
Well I wasn't far off. Even 20 seconds is still a very long time for a video game I'll admit, so I'm not really sure this would be very appealing for anyone but civil war enthusiasts.
Two can play the quote game matey
>REALISTIC MUSKET COMBAT???
>cue 30 seconds of reload animation
Yeah you can have this one
Reality is memetic in nature. There were always memes and all motes of culturally quantifiable knowledge can become memes. The ease of this process depends on their memetic potential.
There have always been memes, if just by another name.
>I would save the Union. I would save it the shortest way under the Constitution. The sooner the national authority can be restored the nearer the Union will be "the Union as it was." If there be those who would not save the Union unless they could at the same time save Slavery, I do not agree with them. If there be those who would not save the Union unless they could at the same time destroy Slavery, I do not agree with them. My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or destroy Slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that. What I do about Slavery and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save this Union, and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union. I shall do less whenever I shall believe what I am doing hurts the cause, and I shall do more whenever I shall believe doing more will help the cause. I shall try to correct errors when shown to be errors; and I shall adopt new views so fast as they shall appear to be true views. I have here stated my purpose according to my view of official duty, and I intend no modification of my oft-expressed personal wish that all men, everywhere, could be free. Yours,
>A. LINCOLN.
>I have here stated my purpose according to my view of official duty, and I intend no modification of my oft-expressed personal wish that all men, everywhere, could be free.
Really puts the 'ol noodle to work
Napoleonic wars already answered these questions.
Musket combat and formation fighting appeals to more than just enthusiasts of the setting.
>lol reload times what am I supposed to do
Niggers, what do you think that spike on the end of the gun is for? Sounding?
War is real-life multiplayer
t. Sven from Sweden getting ready for Sharia law to kick in
>Is the president of the US of A
>Does everything he can do save the Union
>Is willing to keep slavery legal if it means avoiding war or further unrest
kill yourself
Graphics look nice and cosy, soundtrack seems pretty neat.
Shame about the setting, animations, inevitable lag and dead community within a week.
Should've set it in frontier times with Americans, frogs, limeys and injuns all fighting it out.
More like Rob from Indiana actually.
It's not an enticing setting for a game.
Okay I'm gonna put it this way and explain why the civil war ended the way it did.
North=republicans
South=democrats
Now let's just assume that everyone will listen and take notes from what I am about to say in a very short and simple way about this.
The whole reason the war started can be debated over (slavery, states rights, federal control and some other stuff) but the main factor that doesn't get looked at is that the war was started between the two parties which is the democrats and the republicans.
The democrats controlled the south while the republicans had the north and back then the democrats disagreed with the republicans about the "slavery" and other stuff regarding about what the democrats wanted which was more control and this caused a conflict to the point that one of the republicans that came down and said that all men are equal or something nice literally got attacked by a democratic member which almost cost him his life which resulted in more divided party system.
Which also led to the civil war and the democrats literally LIED to the southern people that "we are fighting the north for states rights! Also slavery" which wasn't true and the democrats just wanted to win because they wanted MORE CONTROL.
The republicans at the north waged war in retaliation against the totalitarian democratic party which has manipulated the southern people to believe they were fighting the good fight when really it was just a fight that will benefit the democrats and not the southern people.
The north while federal control did came through at the end, it also ended slavery in the south and ultimately defeated the democrats at their own war which secured the United States from being controlled by the democratic party.
Now think for a moment. Would you REALLY want the DEMOCRATS to win the war and have the winning victory side and power?
Also before anyone talks about the "big switch" well that is a lie made by the democrats because they triggered.
Thats about a 6/10 for effort.
WOW ITS LIKE NAPOLEONIC WARS BUT WITH SHITTIER MELEE GAMEPLAY AND MORE MOTION BLUR
Lincoln shut down newspapers that were unsupportive of the war, had thousands of political prisoners arrested, suspended habeus corpus
Trump is small-time compared to the big L. There was nothing constitutional about the war
>THIS IS YANKEE WALLPAPER
Who the fuck is talking about Trump here, you literal cock gobbler? We're talking about the civil war. And those measurements aren't exactly uncommon in democracies during times of war, since, you know... Wars are a pretty big-fucking-deal.
Also, Lincoln had every right to fight the war.
He really didn't. There's nothing on the constitution to justify invading territories who want to secede. It's especially ironic considering the United States was BORN splitting from another nation.
When they had the Confederate president arrested and awaiting trial, every lawyer the northern government approached to handle the trial for them turned it down because it was clear to them that the southern case was strong and the trial's result would have to be declaring the war illegal. They flipped an amendment just to get out of giving Jefferson Davis the day in court that he wanted.
Why does everyone walk/run like they've shat themselves?
You would shit yourself on a battlefield too
Everyone had dysentery in the 1800s
>stick your hands down your trousers and throw shit at the enemy to blind them
1800s operators had the most elite tactics
Bullshit
The north was the bad guys and thats final and the people in south was not manipulated by the democrats you shill
Those ragdoll effects are revolting.
>War of Rights
>War for the right to own coloured people
So this game's audience is those weirdo's who do civil war re-enactments while having a traitor flag on their pickup truck?
t. everything that happened to the indians was their own fault
fuck off normie
looks very linear and bland.
More like the right to not face enormous taxes and tariffs because the North didn't want them buying and selling with Europe for better deals.
Besides, slavery remained legal in a handful of northern states for the entirety of the war. They weren't even affected by the emancipation proclamation
actually, it looks very comfy. Might buy
"Might makes right", you retard. That's all the right he needed.
That and the fact that it's literally illegal to secede from the union.
>so I'm not really sure this would be very appealing for anyone but civil war enthusiasts.
Good thing that is the intended audience.
How to tell when a game will be shit:
>pre alpha
its got 0 chance
