Fire Emblem thread incoming.
Everything is allowed.
can we actually make a thread that isn't just complaining about the 3DS games?
(even tough the hate is completly justified)

I loved Fates and kinda liked Awakening, honestly don't get the hate.
Blowing into the mic to please the wife was kinda creepy though.
I gotta be honest I'm worried for this game. I've heard Tactics had some unique game mechanics.
Who here has played Tactics? How different was it? I'm afraid they are just going to use the characters and not do anything unique.
>tons of dlcs already announced starting 1 week after release
IT'S OKAY WHEN NINTENDO DOES IT
DLC is only shit when the main game doesn't feel complete.
>Got the LE ordered
>mfw every update is showing the game in better and better lights
The only thing was the direct talked about DLC which was a given when it could have talked about more
Shit I mean Gaiden.

If you can't even make a thread without saying that, then clearly not. Hating them is what makes up 75% of the discussion.
who /hector/ here
Would you guys want magic to work the same way as it did in the original game?
To clarify, spellcasters didn't use Tomes, they learn spells by levelling up. Spells cost HP. Also I think it was based on the strength stat, but I'm sure they'll split it to magic.
It's one of the more out there games and they've already confirmed adding more than the original cast
>Magic costs HP
>Bows can go further and can fight from one space away
>It's actually one of the harder games
Nah man I'm a /Dorcas/
Too bad this will be one you can't make a character in. I would love to make a magic user with this system. Oh well. I'll be happy to just enjoy the story instead of regretting how I customize my characters.
>It's actually one of the harder games
Nope, just one of the more tedious.
>everyone who played the leaked Echoes has said it was shit
>It's actually one of the harder games
Kek, it's tedious, not hard. And now that they nerfed all the fun stuff and buffed enemies, combat will be a huge drag.
>nerfed all the fun stuff
Does that mean they actually ruined cool mechanics or they don't let you use broken shit anymore?
so echoes is shit? guess im pirating then
Delete this
Actually it's pretty good and everyone in Japan is loving it.
But you'll pirate anyway.
I'd rather magic work the way it did in FE4-FE10, is that so much to ask for?
Instead we have just one pathetic "Tome" weapon rank and it's even become a part of another weapon triangle. At least Shitwakening still had the three anima types, for what it's worth.
So, is there any word regarding the quality of the writing/story in Echoes?
About the same as RD.
Yep. Boost rings aren't as retarded.
So how does it specifically work in Gaiden?
Characters can level up and learn magic. They can either magic or use their basic attacks in some classes.
Magic costs HP, i.e. FIRE will always cost 1hp. LIGHTNING is 1-3 range and more damaging, but it costs 2 HP. ANGEL does effective damage to monsters but costs 4HP.
Then you have healers/white magic users and then their unique magics they can learn, like Rewarp or Again.
Seems pretty interesting to me. The breakable tomes kinda get boring.
