WOW SO HARD DUDE LMAO
>tfw fused matador for Strength social link
>tfw rampage and quick strikes fucking completely decimate this boss
I thought he was gonna have another mode it was too fucking easy.
Took me a second try, yeah. Not terrible.
>implying jrpgs can be hard
dude just grind lmao
>mfw didn't get rampage til after the fight when Skull leveled up
>mfw it was touch and go for a bit though
Thank god I fused a Nekomata with the jewel demon.
I was able to use the nuclear spell to kill him pretty quick.
I beat him before I was supposed to. The fight has a third phase where you can paint him black to sabotage him. I never got to that part, I took him down on my second time attacking his "core"
it's the first enemy where you actually need to prepare. Like Matador in SMT3.
Hardly
I've only died to the Nijima fight so far.
Lots more problems with standard mobs than bosses
On hard mode it takes 3-4 AoE attacks to start knocking down the eyes+nose, and during that time he can still one-shot party members by attacking their elemental weakness
And you have to kill the painting form AT LEAST four times
Beating him was entirely luck, just gotta cross your fingers that he doesn't wipe half the party in one turn
But yeah on normal he's fine
All you need is to not be a dumbass. I went in blind and wrecked him.
I didn't even know about the paint stuff. He's a scrub boss.
I never lost to that guy. Am I just too good?
I beat him on hard with my second attempt.
...But before that attempt, I reloaded to the previous night, went to the clinic, and bought tons of Takemedic-all and some Revivadrin.
He was like one more hit from dying for me at that part too. But then he started fucking my shit up. Luckily I got the paint off in time.
Isn't Matador like level 19? You were way higher than you should have been, no?
Without spamming the best healing items I had to switch to normal because he does damage faster than anyone can heal, unless you have two dedicated healers
but fuck that. Literally no reason to play on higher difficulties unless you like grinding
>playing on merciless
>reach this boss when only at level 14
Shit sucked, I needed to grind out 2 more levels just so I could get a persona with rampage and physical resistance
While everyone else playing on hard or lower was already level 18-19
Other than that though my merciless run hasn't required grinding
>Isn't Matador like level 19? You were way higher than you should have been, no?
I was too, apparently. Not only did I fuse Matador, I used the Matador to fuse a level 20 Oni that inherited Swift Strike, had higher strength, and a resistance to physical and gun. After some time in Mementos, I used that Oni to fuse a Shiki-Ouji, who's immune to physical and gun, and he carried my ass through the bank in a day. Having four SP adhesives due to exploiting my brand new Sun link helped with that too.
>pours bucket of paint
>I never played Purse Owner before
nigga was easy lmao
I beat it at level 15.
A friend of mine was streaming this and it was his first SMT/Persona game, he beat it it one go too
wasn't that bad, just have to get each painting low on health and then finish them off in one turn. as long as you have a few revive items for when someone gets painted black and nuked
if you're having trouble with the combat in this game, you need to be doing more mementos missions and mishima's s link which just boosts your exp
The first Palace itself on Normal or Hard is a casual filter because you're almost guaranteed to run out of SP if you try to do it in one run.
You're flat out guaranteed to run out right? Unless you're in NG+ or something you just don't have enough SP by that point.
but i killed the painting form only three times and im playing on hard
It's casual filter was the choice at the beginning as to whether you agree the events in the game are fiction or not, clearly worked as someone on neofag got triggered by it
>Tfw if you create Matador as per Twin Wardens request, you are basically creating the casual filter from SMT III to kill the casual filter in Persona 5
Sun link? Oh the politician guy. Damn I gotta start on his link.
>It's casual filter was the choice at the beginning as to whether you agree the events in the game are fiction or not, clearly worked as someone on neofag got triggered by it
Can I get some more info about this?
>tfw using izanagi-picato because dlc
>null physical so he couldn't touch me
Feels good
how do I equip the free summer clothes dlc?
You gotta get it from your box in your room first, then go into the equipment menu and the costume slot should be at the very bottom
SP isn't a problem if you don't try killing everything. If you really need EXP, just Rush the first floor (once you've leveled up enough from actually progressing through the place)
For the Guard "tutorial" miniboss, you can pray to RNG and have MC/more skip guarding to speed things up. And for the last miniboss, Pulinpa
I don't like the faces she makes
they always seem extremely condescending
>Makes up a fake sob story to get clients
>When she has a REAL sob story
I don't get it.
I made it in one run, but had to skip a couple fights towards the very end. Buying every single sp drink from the vending machines each week before going was a life-saver though.
It would also require either knowledge of prior SMT/Persona games for enemy weaknesses, or using a wiki. Completely new players are going to waste a ton of SP by fishing for weaknesses.
>casual filter
>literally just spam physical moves until you figure out what each painting is null against
>Game tells me about the paint
>Do it because I figure I have to
>Realize it was pointless and would have just been faster to keep attacking
I switched to normal because I forgot to buy revival items and was too lazy to go and buy them, I even had a Matador with Swift Strike and Oni, but that nigger was just landing crits and one shotting everyone like a motherfucker
You should have gotten some life stones from holdups.
>using matador
>not immediately fusing him into Oni that will carry you for the next three palaces
Healing wasn't the issue, KO revival was. He'd just always manage to crit a member, killing them instantly, and getting a free turn out of it. I'll just go in prepared next time.
>greentexting about not using Oni over Matador when Shiki-Ouji is 2 levels later
My bad, I meant Revival Stones. Also using Ann and Tarunda on the mouth is a great idea.
>bosses don't really present a problem
>all of my game overs came from random Onis pulling lucky crits when using Rampage
I'm more confused than mad. I don't even recall Nocturne being this silly.
you have to crit onichan before he can crit you, user
>check average level for Madarame
>20+
Who is the person behind the protagonist in the title screen?
>Not having Shiki-Ouji by the time Onis come into play
I didn't feel shit.
>Thank god I fused a Nekomata with the jewel demon.
Are you me
Nocturne actually had bullshit Oni fights in the palace with Odin was (is that right?).
Would random crit with physical skills there too
>Playing on merciless
>Check average level on Casino
>50+
Yeah, I'm having fun on level 36... haha...
So is there any max social link guide that assumes you're on your second playthrough with max social stats?
How is the game even possible at that point? Don't enemies do more damage on higher difficulties? Even with buffs there were fights on normal that were my level where 1 attack was 75% of my health with defense up.
It's not so bad once you figured out how it works. I expected the special tactic to be more like Kamoshida when Madarame was in human form, though. After I wiped the first time, I had to restart all the cutscenes to switch Ryuji for Morgana because the nose is a bitch.
>36
>Casino
>Merciless
Are you fucking insane?
Is this a meme? It challenged you a bit but that's all. It was pretty easy after you kill it the first time.
Level 16 Hard, 2nd try
Just for clarification. How the fuck you guys got Matador is beyond me. I just completed the run at Mementos and I'm still not 19.
is the whole "Your team members are getting tired" thing a meme? It makes me want to stop grinding but I can't tell if it actually matters
How'd you figure out the Pulinpa weakness? I hate having to try literally everything and wipe multiple times to see if there's a cheese I'm missing.
it just means your teammate's SP are low
Madarame is a casual filter? I fucking curbstomped that boss fight and I was even playing JPN which I barely knew how to do shit
Just means that their SP is low.
Yeah, it's a bitch to lose one of your members for 2-3 turns when you're already short on sustain.
it said 17 for me
Im glad P5 is on PS4 so I didn't have to waste my money on a PS3
exhaustion was supposed to make you lose out on night events in persona but it doesn't seem like it means shit anymore.
I think maybe exhausted team members aren't available to SL the next day??
I don't think Tarunda would've helped him if they were crits unless I'm wrong.
>use rampage on his second phase
>kill the paintings that aren't phys resistant
>they just revive one another
How'd you check this? Touchscreen on last day possible? Otherwise how can you tell people specifically beat Madarame and that the average wasn't brought higher or lower by people who didn't do it yet or spent extra time?
>Kill them as they revive as the others attack the mouth since the revived pieces have no health.
Yeah this fucked me up in the first Palace, thinking it was like FES.
I also thought I needed to grind more because every shadow was telling me how much more powerful Kamoshida was.
You mix up your wording? Who the fuck wastes their money on a PS4 without already having owned a PS3?
He can't, that's why he's just shitposting
The mouth had phys and bullet drain I think. The eyes had elemental drain and the nose no resistance? Considering magic is more taxing on SP, I avoided giving mouth free health.
