At the earliest I expect a release by the end of spring, more realistically it could come out sometime during the summer. Autumn at the latest, Winter if sometime goes catastrophically wrong. Maybe if they release it in Autumn they could go full meme and release in on October 22nd.

Is it getting a patch? While extremely important, Twizzlers and robot sex did not take up a large amount of content, especially in comparison to the amount of sex scenes that needed to be added for Extra and Unlimited. I guess you could also add the sex scene flashbacks too, during Sado Island and introducing S00mika to the Valkyries scene.

Alternative pretty much flipped my favorite characters.

I liked Sumika and Class Rep most in Extra then Unlimited/Alternative I liked Meiya, Ayamine and Miki the most.

I thought they said they'd make a patch to add back in the sex scenes back before they launched the kickstarter, but maybe they were just refering to Extra/Unlimited.
Then again, I think it would be weird of them to do one for Extra/Unlimited then just ignore Alternative. Guess we'll see.

Having the unreliable outsider that didn't quite fit in and said weird things flip from Meiya in Extra to Takeru in Unlimited was a nice touch.

What order are you supposed to read these VNs in, anyway?

I've yet to read them, but supposedly they're basically babbys first must-reads for VNs

Play Muv Luv Extra, then Altered Fable. Ignore everything else.

It's not a permanent solution but I found that running it on a windows 7 virtual machine got rid of the crashing for me, as it should. I'm sure there are better ways of doing it but I used Virtualbox and a virtual machine provided by windows.

Extra and then Unlimited first, which can both be found in Muv-Luv. The third part, Alternative was a separate release.
In older versions you needed to finish the Meiya and Sumika routes to unlock Unlimited, while in the recent steam version Unlimited is unlocked from the start. However you should still read Extra first.

They are babby's first must-read VNs. It's how death note is supposed to be Babby's first must-read anime but less thought out. If you're not the kind of guy who's really focused on waifus the Muv Luv series will feel mediocre at best.

By the time Alternative kicked in, Meiya was already my favourite. By the time it ended, I was already a waifufag.
