How do I get better at it?
Tfw bought complete edition of bloodborne for 17 dollars
You shouldn't waste your time trying to "git gud" at one of the easiest games in the history of gaming franchises. Seriously each area following the "chosen hunter" and his excessively buffed weapons from assorted game locations as he fights brainless enemies has been indistinguishable from the last. Aside from the handholding, the game's only consistency is providing you with absolutely retarded, unchallenging enemies and allowing you to run through all of them without any motive to stay in place or fight them throughout the course of the entire game, all to make the difficult feel easy, to make action seem inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when From Software voted to make the game a PS4 exclusive; they made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody. just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for the souls series. Bloodborne might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the normalfag game in its refusal of challenge, skill and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.
>a-at least the Dark Souls games were good though
"No!"
The enemies were easy; the bosses were unfairly hard. As I played, I noticed that every time a enemy went for an attack, he spent an unrealistic amount of time telegraphing an attack.
I began marking on the back of an envelope every second the enemy stretched his arm back. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope a several dozen times. I was incredulous. Miyazaki's mind is so governed by outdated game design philosophies that he has no other style of challenge. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Dark Souls by the same Kevin-V from Gamespot. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are playing Bloodborne at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to play Mount and Blade." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you play "Bloodborne" you are, in fact, trained to play Mount and Blade.
Learn enemy patterns.
Is there anything in particular that's causing you problems?
agreed

Holy shit someone actually typed this with salt all over their keyboard.
fucking amazing shitposting senpai
keep it going

Be patient and learn from your mistakes. That's it. That's all you ever need to get better at any video game ever.
I'd go as far as to say each area following the "chosen hunter" and his excessively buffed weapons from assorted game locations as he fights brainless enemies has been less engaging than the last.
Get out of this thread. No, seriously, if you aren't even going to try to bait me, why am I going to waste my time with you? Get. Out.
Kek
Isn't this an Armond White review?
bloodborne is pretty easy for a soul-like.
just take it slow and learn the range of your attacks, and also be observant to what attacks enemies have.
the gun parry system is super easy to abuse but isn't mandatory. the idea is that you lock-on and fire right before an attack would hurt you. press R1 during the enemies' stagger animation for a free melee finisher for huge damage.
if you get hurt in bloodborne, the game will heal you for free if you land an attack on an enemy right after you got hurt. you can even win some boss battles by mashing quick melee. its a real shit mechanic to be honest but it works and saves vials.
back attacks in bloodborne need a fully charged R2 to the back first. once you land the R2, you can do the usual R1 finisher.
You DID pick the cane, right user?
You're already baited

Practice, and learn enemy attacks.
Just keep at it.
My first Souls game was Dark Souls, and I thought it was complete garbage until I beat the Gargoyles about 20 hours in... a surge of emotion rushed through me.
Now I've got 2,500+ hours in the complete Souls series.
Just don't give up, boss. The "git gud" meme is garbage, but you really just have to keep learning enemy attacks. Also, specifically in Bloodborne, use Rally as often as possible. A lot of enemies will stagger with one hit, so you don't need to be super defensive. Blood Vials are usually used for capping yourself off at the end of a fight rather than healing during one; you really want to be counter-attacking as much as possible.
Cheers, dude. Enjoy that masterpiece of a game.
I'm at the very beginning of the game.
There's a switch I'm supposed to pull, but 2-3 enemies are in the way.
I don't have any weapons, just my fists
was I supposed to pick something up?
you will run out of blood vials quickly and have to farm certain enemies to get more. That's how you get better
Dash forward once or twice because you get invincibility and then press R1 once or twice. Rinse and repeat for every goddamn enemy until you learn to parry.
Get out of my thread. Now.
My dude, you get your weapons from the Hunter's Dream after your first death. They'll be on the ground on the stairs.
god damn you're on a roll tonight
Thank you, user!
I'm going to make you guys proud!
>Bloodborne might be anti-Christian
Not sure how you came to that conclusion. The Church is evil in Bloodborne, but as far as I'm concerned, it's also evil in real life; and I'm a Christian myself. I don't think it's a critique of religion so much as it's a critique of ORGANIZED religion, like the pre-Reformation Roman Catholic Church.
>easiest games in the history of gaming franchises
Maybe you're just the best ever, but I think Bloodborne is the second hardest Souls game
I BELIEVE IN YOU, LADDY
SENDING MY ENERGY YOUR WAY
Dodge lazily and counterattack. Don't try to anticipate the timing on telegraphed attacks you don't know; you will dodge early and get hit by counter damage. React to them instead. The game gives you a ton of slack with the invincibility frames for how late you can press the dodge button and not get hit.
Always try to save a tiny bit of stamina for a dodge in case you need it
Be patient
If you're having trouble farm some souls (or whatever currency is in bloodborne)
After you defeat a boss go back and explore since youll be stronger than before. This works even better after you defeat the second boss and go back to the first area
These games are all about patience but remember to have fun in exploring and learning the lore
Ludwig was a very hyped up boss fight for this game and I'm fighting him now.
This is one of the worst bosses in the game. Fuck you Sup Forums
Worst as in overhyped and stupidly easy? I agree. I fought him earlier today for the first time and wiped the floor with him.
Don't reply to him.
He's been spamming the same post in every BB thread.
What weapon were you using that made him stupidly easy? Blades of Mercy suck
