something has gone wrong here
There's nothing underrated about game streaming. It's shit and it will always be shit due to the limitations of wireless networks.
I used k&b with Unreal Tournament 3 and it was really bad. The game runs at 30fps and it felt like there was a massive delays, also Half-Life and Red Faction on the PS2 had keyboard and mouse support.
Wish it wasn't so bad. Seems to have shorter range than the Wii U gamepad and lacking buttons are annoying.
works fine playing at work, what matters more is having a non shitty router in your house. most people still have shit their ISP gave them from years ago
This place is garbage
>mfw my own soundtrack in nfs undercover
progressive scan on the ps2/gcn/xbox
TV-out on the PSP.
Why every handheld doesn't have this feature baffles me.
The PSP in general had so many great ideas, but the technology and implementation just weren't quite up to scratch at the time.
this. I miss this. shame the vita didn't follow suit
It did, they just never sold the cable for it and launched the vita TV instead.
How does it work? Is it wifi streaming? Can I stream staight from ps4 to my xperia phone or do I have to connect a router in between? Can I use rj45 connection? Also I can stream on my non xperia (samsung) tablet or my laptop? (I dont own a tv)
are you sure? some people check the port that is so called "tv out" and check it doesn't even do that. hell even modders had to mod in a shitty usb port in order to have that function.
Playing Megadeth or Testament while playing GoW was the best shit ever.
>Moonlight on android
If I had a better wifi setup I'd never leave my bed, comfy bed gaming on my phone is comfy as hell.
playstation.com
I've only used it with my Vita so I can't tell you, but the site seems to have some info on using it w xperia.
It's limited for those reasons, yeah, but honestly sometimes I just wanna curl up in bed with a handheld and get comfy. Being able to do that and play ps4 games is a nice bonus.
Not something I'd say it's worth buying a Vita solely for, for sure, but it's nice to have, esp if your network isn't total shit.
If you can't get the Remote Play app from the play store there's a modified APK floating around on the XDA forums (it's changed devs like a million times since I last had a ps4 so I can't give an exact link) that works on all android phones
Thanks.
t.android poster.
Sony site is full of buzzwords, but hardly any useful info. It says "ethernet cable is recommended", can I connect straight to my xperia xz wich supports ethernet or not? Also do I need to be connected online for this to work?
It depends on your wifi hardware, I used to have this god awful gateway that could not stream jack shit but nowadays I have one that can do 720p/30 fine.
If your phone supports ethernet then sure why not, but wifi should be fine assuming you aren't on mexican ISP issued crap like me
>Sleep mode for handhelds
Whoever came up with this shit deserves a medal everyday for life.
Streaming PC games to a hacked Vita.
Remote Play is Nintendo's end game. Instead of releasing an actual replacement for the Switch in a couple of years they'll release a powerful 'core' system and make it Switch compatible for this very reason.
what are you talking about? Remote play is THE feature.
it's unfortunate that it doesn't have a second set of shoulder buttons though, and i can do without the back plate.
I really loved that it would pause the music when there were cut-scenes and lower it for dialogue.
the DSi had a rad mp3 player that could add chiptune effects and shit
Yea, it's neat.
Thinking about buying PSTV. Does it play all vita games?
>all vita games?
It won't play anything that requires the gyroscope (Gravity Rush) or with touchscreen-only input (Rayman Legends).
Everything else is fair game.
You can even mess with their whitelist to load any game, regardless of compatibility.
only after you hack it and use some homebrew software
by default it has built-in whitelist which prevents you to launch most of the games
I do remote play over internet for mgsv and have no issues.
I have 50 Mbit u/d at home and 1Gb u/d at work.
>Cant play gravity rush
GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!!!
The OLED model does have the PSTV's upscaler built-in, so people assumed the port would be for it.
No.
Wii U's off TV play.
I used it again for a lot to play a little more Zelda in my bed before putting it aside and getting my sleep. But it really is useful at times, though easily I would rank off TV play as weakest thing the gamepad does overall and rank something like touchscreen use for Mario Maker, Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD which as well is kinda underrated - as is Gyro controls for aiming. Does not kick with everyone but it really is good when you get used to it.
Honestly Wii U gamepad does more things well than badly and is in whole kinda underrated.
Oh yeah, the TV remote function. Surprisingly great thing to have on the gamepad.
Mmm nothing like 12 fps.
It's a shit feature retard
There does exist an abomination, but I'm pretty sure most PC Gamers are complacent in Halo CE.
You can there's a video on youtube look it up.
The PS2 could actually send a 1080i signal to your TV with component cables. It wasn't a true 1080i, but it did managed to make some games look better, like Gran Turismo 4.
Same thing with original Xbox too.

I would be dead if it wasn't for those things.
Too bad it's shit latency
I'll second this. My Xbox Hueg probably could have survived the 2 foot tumble, but I was afraid to fucking sneeze near my 360.
>My Xbox Hueg probably could have survived the 2 foot tumble
It could have, I dropped mine a good four feet once onto hardwood floor at my friend's house, we freaked out because there was a rattling sound coming from inside afterwards but it still worked for years afterwards. Finally died just a few years ago.
>PC and PS4 both connected to the same router with CAT5s
>Near perfect, almost completely lagless
It's 720p 30fps, but it's still rather handy. I wouldn't play Bloodborne or Yakuza 0 with it, but it's more than sufficient for RPGs like P5 and FFXV.
