By design healers are boring because the people attracted to healer classes are the most braindead people imagineable. You will never get any fun gameplay out of healing because the target audience would have a shit fit if they didnt feel like they were important while doing the minimal amount of interaction you can do with a game. Healer themselves have no reason to be in a game except erase mistakes and trivialize encounters. Modern MMOs even have action elements such as blocking and dodging so there is absolutely no reason healers should be in a game other than to attract the lucrative retard audience, and everyone else suffers as a result.

Mercy is the most practical healer but not as fun as Lucio or Zen. Zen is especially involved, his discord orbs are great for turning anyone squishy

Press m1 and occasionally m2. Fly to teammate, escape. Wait for everyone to be killed, then ult.
Shit character, shit design, boring to play and annoying to fight if the player is not brainless enough to not use his pistols.
She was made exactly to copy TF2 Medic which was better than her but fails to do it because the game don't allow for such a design to work. It's very dynamic and fast paced, with ability, and you can't have someone who serve only at healing at this point and contribute nothing. It's a heavily team based game.

dirty bombs healers are pretty fun. Sparks especially.

You can make anyone sound terrible with that approach. Zen is just occasional E, shift spam and shoot and then the occasional panic Q. Woo, you barely have to do your job. It's almost like people measure worth by DPS or something.

I am talking about mechanical skills here. This is what Mercy do.
Nothing. There is no difference between a high level mercy and a low level mercy. The "Skill ceilings" touch the "Skill floor". Mercy is only a Target and not a high level mercy can change that fact. Mercy is boring to play. I feel more involved in the game as Ana/Lucio/Zen than Mercy because i'm not suckin' my team penis the whole time. I'm healing and defending myself at the same time.

Healing is dogshit and ruins games.
It fits in D&D because it's extremely limited during actual combat and serves as a way for the party to recuperate between dungeons.
Every other high fantasy bullshit ripoff of D&D in video games it does not belong in.

the SR gain system is working at intended and giving player that contribute nothing low SR gain
