Why do people like this series? The game feels really clunky and unfinished, the combat is even simpler than a musou game, the story is just retarded, both games are super short, and yet I fucking love them.
Is it the design choice? the general concept? Why do I keep replaying and enjoying this game? What do YOU like about it? Also, what are your expectations for the Switch sequel?
James Butler
It's all writing and art style. Plus that one shovel waifu.
I don't expect anything for Switch. Series is dead because we can't have good things
Ryder Clark
The bosses are fun everything else kinda sucks ass
Luke Ward
>main character is a weeb what's there not to love about it?
Jacob Jenkins
Because it's SUDA, baby!
But really he is a master of giving a game a distinct style, flair, vibe, whatever. The game feels like a character that you wanna play with, even when you're doing menial shit like mowing lawns.
Aaron Russell
>the combat is even simpler than a musou game, That's wrong though. Musou are much less reactive until some later titles. NMHs had aggressive bosses for once.
Aiden Lee
BEST WII GAME the gameplay might not be the best but damn it has cool characters
Jaxon Richardson
Fuck you, I was instantly hyped when the image of Travis appeared during the Switch event. I need another NMH game. Listened to some of it's music earlier today, too.
Lincoln Stewart
Mostly style over substance. The characters, writing, and aesthetics are good. Boss fights are unique and cool but not that fun. Really cool characters though. The levels and overworld are repetitive and boring as fuck though. Never played 2 so maybe they improved some of this stuff.
Leo Phillips
2 Removed the overworld entirely in favor of a SMB3-style area select, which was kind of disappointing. All the side jobs were made into 8bit "retro" games but were still fun. Combat was a bit tighter and game overall a bit harder, and was advertised as having 50 bosses but there's still only 10 because 40 others accidently die during one of the fights. There's more weapon variety too but the only weapon worth a damn is still the green katana.
Anthony Ramirez
Are these playable on dolphin with a gamepad? I want to try this series, but don't have a wii on me at the moment.
Jose Ramirez
its the fucking 'gamey' presentation that makes me love these games.
Dominic Cruz
I haven't played NMH, but as far as I know it's good for a lot of the reasons Killer7 is good, which I have played. That being that even if it's not all that fun to play, it's really stylish and there's nothing else quite like it.
Jordan Hernandez
Travis
Sebastian Edwards
The second one is playable on Dolphin with a gamepad, but the first one isn't. It's unfortunate because the first one shouldn't be missed.
Grayson Hughes
>was advertised as having 50 bosses Not what happened. Travis was rank 51, people assumed 50 bosses because of it.
Nathan Turner
Its just the right amount of nonsense and fun that you can forgive the mandatory dull coconut garbing minigames.
Eli Garcia
It's oozing style and fun. Hard to explain more than something about it just clicked despite the clunk.
Justin Bailey
Because it's one of the few third party games on Wii that's actually fun to play, and one of the few "mature" (in terms of violence/sexuality/humor/story) games on the console.
Leo Bennett
I'm really fucked up and I keep reading your last sentence and was restructuring it to mean the same thing but in a different order
Gabriel Wright
It gets me too user and I'm the one who wrote its
Nathan Smith
>Travis and Vincent could be the best bro in the history of gaming
Samuel Morris
...
Angel Wright
It's pretty deep. I'll probably say it again later. Something clicked about it despite the clunk Time for more shots and weed then shower
