Obligatory Giant Bombcast. Might be all you need.

tovg
dlc

TBFC

we miss you, Liam

I'ma say this solely about his podcast. He has changed over the past couple'a years. Watches his Ps and Qs way too fucking much.

DLC used to be ok.

Giant Bombcast

too pc and moba/vr but still talks about news games.. sometimes take devils advocate perspective and less rambling about 'wow i watched a movie with the missus'

Yeah he's fallen victim to the corporate dick-sucking shit, for better or worse.

Is Echo Screen Live still a thing?

TBFC and Giant Bombcast

I miss stamper on any podcast.

Thank GOD Arin and Danny haven't gone down this route. All we need is them doing a shitty podcast to round out how fucking horrible they've become.

It's been suggested here already, but genuinely the giant bomb podcast is all you'll ever need. They're up to like 480 episodes now or some shit. All are the standard ~3hr length for podcasts.

There aren't enough with genuine female gamers.

Genuine female gamers tend to have shit taste.

female gamer (male)

I tried to get into Jim Sterling's podcast, but they didn't turn out too well.

Jontron, on the other hand, is quite spectacular on any podcast he's in.

FUUUUCK I remember SleepyCast now. Man, that show went 'meh' after stamper stopped being in the episodes. What the fuck is stamper even doing these days, besides having the world's greatest twitter? Does he do ANY podcasting now, even as a guest?

Final Score and the Beastcast are great!

#1 video game podcast

Zach and Corey carried Sleepycast more than Stamper ever did. I like the guy, but he's mostly bringing a great voice to the table.

Easy Allies

I agree wholeheartedly, but it seemed like after stamper left, the entire show kinda fell off.

>liking Mega64 unironically

Is Easy Allies good? Got a good test episode to start with?

R.I.T.

Fucking hell why doesn't Razorfist have a podcast?

Followed a random facebook ad one day, led me to these two dudes. Fairly new, but they seem to upload weekly, and they've had some moments. I'd recommend trying them, at least:

soundcloud.com/endoftimecast

It's the only gaming podcast I can stand to watch every week. I would start with whatever the latest one is since it's heavily based on gaming events at that time.

Anyone here remember the ContinueCast? Fuck I miss that. They actually started me on listening to podcasts in general.

I'm not too concerned about the video aspect, but I know most podcasters are doing audio and video now. Are the episodes a good length? What's their usual format? Topics they discuss?

"Bought The Farm"

I'm lost on these

traitor joes

Man I hear so many people talk about TJs, but... wtf is it, just another department store?

>High-impact sexual violence

Well fuck, they have my attention, anyway

he died this morning while buying groceries there

TBFC, but honestly it's missing something with Liam not being there. Plague is alright I guess, but he's no Liam. They used to have that black pro wrestler on, until he got fucked by the fappening most likely.

Trolling, or for really real

Yeah their first episode is kinda shit. They were brand new, had shit mics, lots of beeps in the cast, stuff liker that. But they've grown on me now that they've gotten a bit better, technically. Their content is good, but that's for you to decide.

april fools
just kidding
post a comment if you fell for it

The ones I recommend every time these threads come up.
Giant Bomb, All of IGN's console specific podcasts, Gamer's with Jobs, RadioRadar, and then Rage Select might still be good although I have not listened in a while. Then the non game ones are The Biggest Problem in the Universe which is not going anymore, but still a great one to go thru and then The Dick Show and This is Only a Test.

Fuck yes I do! That show was great! It was also what got me hooked on Fantasy Fiction.

Fuck, neither of those two are around anymore. That really fucking sucks, man.

I still say some shit went down between Josh and Dom.

See this, though, is a trend I see with youtubers and podcasters alike: just random-naming shit. It's kinda ok for youtubers because you can see the video preview and get an idea about what you're in for. Naming random shit on a podcast? How the fuck am I supposed to know what the episode is talking about? Give me some actual game titles or something.

They have descriptions in the actual episodes of what they're talking about. Off-hand, I know TPFC does this same thing.

I hear Beastcast is good, any good episodes to start with?

Where do you people find the time to listen to all these podcasts?

Commute to work or school.

>background audio while doing anything
>commute to work / anywhere I'm in my ride
listen while playing games that I'm not completely engrossed with the audio

I'll bite. Can't be worse than the other shit I've heard. Got any episode to start with (since they have so few, and I already read this disclaimer about their zero episode: )

Mowing my fucking lawn. I'd lose my fucking mind w/o my podcasts.

Episode 6 is a good one. They were supposed to list off their top 10 SNES games (lists, amiriteguize), but they put a devil's advocate twist on it, where they had to shit on them/critique them instead of gushing about them. Gets really rough they closer they get to their top 5 or so.

That One Video Gamer

I thought they just had scheduling issues?

Was kinda quick, and out of nowhere. Like when Jon and Arin split.

Anyone have a recommendation for a podcast that predominately talks about retro gaming?

Does ProJared do a podcast?

I don't know if I'll ever 'finish' Giant Bombcast. They're approaching their 500th episode, and I'm on ep. 70 or so. At 3hrs a pop, that's a fucking megaton of content.

Does any other gaming podcast even come close to that amount of content?

If he doesn't have a D&D-themed one, he damn well needs to start one.

Get a job in a warehouse. So much time for podcasts. Wait no don't get a job at a warehouse, that's just how I find the time.

Anywhere where I'd listen to music? That's all it's essentially replacing.

Can you listen? Good. Here's a podcast.

Super specific, but the Playstation Podcasts is good.

Not exclusively video games, but fuck me is it good.

Screw Attack's Awesome Podcasts!

Thank me later.

>liking Screw Attack

>0 credibility

Also bumping Giant Bombcast, OP. Well worth the stupid amount of time you'll need to invest into it.

Ps and Qs?

EZA Podcast is 1-2 hours. Three major segments: News, Love and Respect (Emails), and Bets.

Probably 60% of the episode is News discuss, then Emails. Bets don't take long, and they have a small intro. Having that GT pedigree, the older guys in the group definitely have a cool insider perspective on the games and games media industry.

Then they have Frame Trap, which is usually closer to 2.5-3 hours. That one is mostly divided into three segments: What Have You Been Playing, Hottake (A single hot topic the panel discusses), Emails. Frame Trap is way more loose and relaxed, and they have a tendency to go off on tangents and talk about games that aren't recent or popular. It's Bi-weekly

Both are great, and they have very different styles. They are adding a few more (Spoiler Mode, Nintendo Cast) but those aren't really far enough in to have a set format yet, or for me to offer an endorsement.

But yeah, Easy Allies is great.

>Sidescrollers Dead

Buh-bye, Craig'em

Pints and quarrels

Decent podcasts where I can maybe learn a little something? Hell, probably not even related to video games.

poison arrow by Epicnamebro, the rest are reddit infested shit

>any podcast with an actual concept is killed by something
>if any of the talent go on to further podcasts then they'll just be "just ramble about whatever it's fine I'm so charismatic XD" podcasts
