I tried this one out for minimal time and was immediately put off by the lack of dodging enemy attacks but from everything else I've heard it's good. Mind you I was coming from dark souls so rolling around was the go to. Is DD combat that satisfying once you get the hang of it?
Several classes can roll, and you can use mods to give ever class the roll skill as well.
And no, it's never really satisfying, but it's still pretty awesome.
Yes, done by dmc4 guy. You can literally be guts on consoles.
Otherwise berserk on dreamcast and ps2.
The Dogma of Dragons
I can hear the Klang
Game only get good once you get to the first hub
Round up a party of 4 from the portal. Guts has a party. The game's combat is completely party-based
Drake's Tenets
DD like everyone is saying. and a sequel couldnt come soon enough. though it probably never will
Anything more "fully" party based? I like having a party but only if I get full control over them all rather than having an ai run my retards around
as far as berserkish games go? not that i know of
Why wouldn't you play souls if that's the kind of experience you want
hell, anything fantasy at this point as long as it isn't too cartoony
swords and axes and magic and shit
Monster hunter GS > dragons dogma GS
Nothing feels better than landing a triple charge. I don't know any game that does GS better than monhun
>Monster hunter
literally the only reason a handheld purchase is even a vague idea in my mind
i know user. im desperate too
They'll release monhun on the switch with actual graphics and a non shit resolution and force you to buy a dedicated monhun machine and there's nothing you can do about it.
the sandbox/adventure mode for this game can't come soon enough fuck my sack is about to burst I haven't been this hard for a game in a long time
Never seen or heard of it before.
It's too difficult and I don't have the patience personally. Not OP btw.
Isn't the point of berserk that the deck is constantly stacked against guts and he has to give his all just to survive? Dark souls captures that perfectly for a first time player
Nier
Nier Automata
Xenoblade Chronicles (doesn't really have big swords but it's a good rpg)

what did you call me?
Disgaea seems to have everything you're looking for.
ff7
Disgaea 5
man I was thinking for next MH of trying LS or something, but GS was so satisfying in 4U coming from GL in 3rd
> Dude posts picture of guts from berserk
> You respond with happy chibi anime characters
Close enough.
I liked how Guts felt in Musouker, but you have to don't care about musous in order to like that
Oh shit, I guess I should only post hardcore games for hardcore weebs such as yourself. I bet you think Jojos is the pinnacle of action anime or some shit.
Anyway, another suggestion, OP, is The Witch and The Hundred Knight. You run around as a tiny soldier who was forcibly employed by the Swamp Witch Metallia and your goal is to help her turn the world into a giant swamp.
The game isn't very popular so I'm having trouble finding gameplay videos, but the boss fights are pretty close to what you describe, you fight bigass monsters, or witches with swords, axes and hammers. Since the character you control is so tiny, there's always a serious sense of scale going on in every boss fight since you're always the smallest thing on screen.
The story itself is really stellar too, it gets dark as shit. If you enjoy Berserk, you'll love W100k.
It's a definite hidden gem. If you're interested, get the PS4 version, as it has additional content and updated gameplay.
