It's a shit game. Don't know why Sup Forums cares. Maybe because it's trying to be a movie instead of a video game. Because mechanically it's just a shit video game.

It's popular which means Sup Forums will be contrarian and hate/bitch about it. As soon as it stops being popular or last of us part two comes out they will start praising the game and complain that the sequel isn't as good as the original.

Because it's better than 99% of the shit Hollywood has made in the last decade and it isn't even that good.

Anybody who unironically watches shit at the cinema now should be sterilised. I went to see Ghost in the Shell earlier this month simply because I liked the anime.

I expected it to be dogshit and it was somehow even worse. I genuinely almost fell asleep about halfway through.

Why did that even get a lot of replies?

I think it's unfair to compare the two since they're a completely different genre and therefore both have strengths and weaknesses that reflect that genres style. A better comparison to the last of us would be re4 or other similar linear survival horror games

I never played any persona and I love The Last of Us, yet this isn't a fact. It's still a matter of subjective preference.

Don't you think the worsening of movies is also happening with video games in paralell? I also liked the movie (I only saw GitS 1995 movie) and it helped me to frame the issue I couldn't put my finger on for quite some time now. When I think about it, the games don't take their time to build tension and characters but try to push everything into this super awesome amazingly amazing coctail of special moments on demand, with respectable highpoints like press F to pay respects. The chasing scene in movie is anything but the original, it's afraid to foreplay for long enough for it to mean something imo.

Telltale's games being worse doesn't mean TLOU isn't shit in the first place.

I see TLOU(s gunfights as a nice evolution from Uncharted 2. It's what U3 should have been.

Otherwise, story is bad, too long, gameplay is repetitve, level-design sucks, there isn't any replay value.

I pretty much got bored of ND's prod because of this game. I didn't try the DLC or Uncharted 4 since then, didn't even want to. The SJW pandering really became obvious.
ND is smelling its own farts now, there's no more place for fun in their games, that's not what their aiming for.

I liked Joel and the plot was actually pretty good.
It is way better and more interesting than Uncharted which is just trash.

Too bad I didn't like Ellie so I won't play the sequel.

It has a ton of gameplay, much more than uncharted and it does have some depth to it

The gameplay does

There are rules to consider, resource management to deal with and so on

It is an interesting game in terms of mechanics BUT the game does not meld gameplay and story well

What I mean is, when I'm watching a cutscene in the game, it's REALLY GOOD

It sucks, imagine watching a good movie and then someone throws a controller in your hands and says PLAY A VIDEO GAME NOW

But in no way do either suffer, because they're so separated

You can skip all cutscenes and there aren't many walking and talking bits

Overall, it is a good game, and sometimes it's great

Ellie was good as a secondary character.

Druckmann started off strong with TLOU. I like how with each release he's getting worse. He's going to butcher the sequel like he butchered Uncharted 4 and its (probably) even worse expansion.

You're retarded. I liked TLOU and I can agree that the gameplay can be kinda wacky sometimes in Uncharted...but the story in Uncharted was pretty great. UC2 is fucking god tier.

I really liked it. I agree that it's not mechanically a very good game, but it was a neat experience and I'm glad I played it. The winter chapter was amazing.

They're called weebcucks and it's so ironic it's almost like they're being paid.

What's funny about TLOU is that the zombies act better than the humans. The problem with Naughty Dog games is that they intentionally make the human AI stop being intimidating after a few seconds of a firefight. The AI generally starts off strong and sets perimeters around you to scare you and gets a few good shots off, but then they suddenly decide to go full stormtrooper and avoid cover like the plague so you can easily kill them. This was a huge problem for Uncharted 2 on all dufficulties. TLOU fixes this on hard mode or higher, but there are still times when the enemies will fuck up at just the right fucking time for you to not die. Survivor and Grounded don't improve on the human AI from hard which sucks because it was really close to being great instead of just okay. The zombies will swarm your ass if you fuck up and don't stop which until you get to safety which is great as a zombie enemy, but the humans could be so much more on Grounded.

I was really surprised how different TLOU is on hard. It's a much better game, the human AI has still lot to be improved but overall the feel of hunters is there. Not on normal though. On normal they feel like easy targets to be picked off even easier than in Uncharted.
