After years of abuse my 360 controller has reached the point where it shuts itself off if I so much as look at it funny, and it's time to upgrade. I'll be using it for PC, and the Dualshock 4 will be more expensive because I want it wireless and will have to buy the separate dongle for it.
So tell me Sup Forums, which one? If the Dualshock 4 is better, is it better enough that it's worth dropping ~40 bucks over?
Austin Scott
They're both good, it just depends on your preference. Xbox One controller is supported more naively though.

Which controller has the best dpad for pc
Joshua Reyes
DS4 is a very comfortable controller and I use it to play most of my steam games. The only thing that bugs me about it is that all those games (if not modded) will still show their button prompts as A, B, X, Y.
Wyatt Lewis
Get the xbone controller. I've used both for PC. Xbone is more reliable and the DS4 has the worst battery life I've ever seen in a controller.
Oliver Cook
mine is 7-8hrs for each 100% charge. it is sufficent for even all-nighters.
on the other hand Xbone is too clunkly for me.

>play Nier:Automata in big picture >"this game does not support controller natively" >literally game is shit w/o a decent controller.
they have to display it as ABXY because it is the game part, which is not developed for windows with DS4. DS4 still have to use XInput when using PC, so basically the PC think you are using an XBone controller.

>>literally game is shit w/o a decent controller. Finished it on KB+M, the fuck are you on about?
Evan Bell
less a controller and more an ersatz m&k.
The rear bumpers spoiled me enough to invest in an elite controller though.
Evan Walker
>mouse control is shit >you can barely aim on hack mode >can not move/aim/excute fluid combos
tryhard all you want but KB/M support for this game is garbage tier.
Ryder Peterson
The fuck are you on about, camera control is way better on mouse, same as in any of Souls games.
Hacking is perfectly fine with arrows.
Jason Robinson
This thing pissed me off in more ways than one
Never mind that it's cumbersome and weird in terms of design, but the main reason I bought it for doesn't work without me fucking around with Steam in Window's advanced settings wich prompts a bunch of scary pop-up messages. Basically, I wanted to play STALKER on the couch but the game doesn't work with Steam overlay. And when Steam isn't active, this controller doesn't function.
Jeremiah Edwards
>plays Souls game with M/KB
stop being a PCbro.
Adrian Long
KB+M is objectively superior for Souls games.
I tried the controller and it felt like SHIT, you can't justify extremely poor camera control.
Alexander Scott
sounds more like you having too much shit eye-hand coordination
Jaxon Flores
I have both, I'd advise getting a Xbone controller it's overall more comfy to use or if you have some way f using bluetooth on your PC get a Switch Pro it's probably the best controller out there but it's pretty expensive
Isaiah Murphy
How do I get my DS4 working on PC? Preferably without buying that adapter.
Adrian Jenkins
Sounds more like I'm not willing to cripple my experience with a garbage controller that is vastly inferior to KB+M.
Matthew Nguyen
Nier:Automata doesn't have controller support? What the living fuck is going on with developers?
Bentley Ramirez
If you are asking about steam then enter big picture mode.
Leo Lopez
I mean outside of Steam. Want to use mine for emulators.
Zachary Martin
DS4 is way better than the 360 and xbone pads, one I got one I never looked back. Use DS4windows and it works great.
Noah Campbell
No it has controller support that guy is a retard and is probably using some shitty third party controller, I use a DS4 emulated as a 360 pad. There's even a mod to change the button prompts to PS prompts.
Isaac Reyes
I have both. The DS4 is better but it bothers me no end to have XBOX prompts since most games don't officially support it so I just stick with the xbone.
