Well considering the only thing that makes the Wii better is the fact that it plays and supports Gamecube games, I'd say if we go Wii only to Wii U, the Wii U is actually preferable.

nintendo's actual first console is their worst console. The TV game 6 it was just a darn plug in play pong machine with 6 different versions of pong and half of them were just color changes or a slight size or speed change.

Calling Super Mario Maker a 10/10 is a joke. The Mario Maker community couldn't make good levels if their lives depended on it.

Its just Sticker Star combat again but they managed to make it even more tedious by having you paint cards for every attack.
Some people are really desperate to defend it so they try to pretend it has good writing but it doesn't.

From what I've heard, it was marginally better than Sticker Star. They tried to fix the battle system and exploration (with meager results) and the writing was a definite improvement. Plus, it looked great.

Horseshit, Nintendo was as profitable as ever during the GC era. Nintendo saw the rising budgets for HD gaming coming and they wanted none of that.

There's no reason to buy a Wii U because a Wii can already play GC and Wii games natively and Wii U only has shit games like Color Splash and Star Fox Zero that no one wants.

The wii u can emulate DS at 2x resolution for one, and with retroarch optimizations being developped you'll soon be able to play a lot more systems than the wii through homebrew, including PS1 which the wii struggled immensely to emulate. If you're not interested in either then by all means go ahead and get a wii for cheaper, but I personally prefer the wii u
