It's heartbeat for a tin man
As in Tin Man from Wizard of Oz who wanted a heart.
Did he partake in college ball ?
I've been listening to Rivers in the Desert on repeat basically nonstop after his fight. It's so good.
university of Tokyo, actually.
I hope fighting roided up politicians continue to be a thing.
DON'T FUCK WITH THIS DIET MEMBER
DON'T FUCK WITH THIS PRIME MINISTER.
Do you even hee-lift bro-ho?
Some cushy college then.
I CAN PROBABLY SNAP THE OLD PRIME MINISTER IN TWO.
>tricked my brother into believing that Rivers in Desert is the final boss theme
He's in for one hell of a fake out.
Please don't bump off smaller vidya threads with multiple threads about the same game.
>when the vocals for River in the Desert kick in during phase 2 of the fight
It should have been, Yaldabaoth and what follows is shit.
YOU KNOW WHAT, FUCK THIS PALACE, I JUST WANT YOU TO DIE.
I thought it said A WHOLE DIFFERENT DEMON which I thought made more sense to be honest
Eh, demon makes more sense given SMT. But it's hard to understand what Lyn was singing in all these OST tracks.
Trying to kill himself to kill you all was a ballsy move. I love how chill his mementos shadow is too
Shido was a fun boss but his palace was shitty
It should have been optional or even hidden. The true ending in 4 felt that way too. The climax is over and you are free to chase the pointless truth if you're hungry for more dungeon crawling.
>that first phase where he uses the masses to become the illuminati pyramid
Easily the worst. They clearly ran out of ideas at that point if they had to repurpose the gimmick intended for Kamoshida's palace to have any sort of puzzle in it.
A LOST ACE IN A LOST HAND
Who was better Shido or Armstrong?
>mfw the version with lyrics kicked in during phase 2
I didn't need to use restorative items for Armstrong.
Was Shido right about anything?
Armstrong has more memorability simply by dank memes, while Shido you're supposed to take seriously.
However Shadow Shido having that good of a fight came out of fucking NOWHERE.
He was right about Akechi planning to betray him.
Does he actually punch anybody during that final phase?
LITERALLY A WORSE ARMSTRONG
One of his moves is called "Tyrant Fist" so, yes.
Is this a specific reference or a generic live-action sentai villain outfit?
Bitch Shido is /fa/ as fuck.
Demon makes no sense whatsoever in context. It's incredibly obvious that it's Tin Man.
w2c Spiked helmet?
are you for real?
It's an incredibly obvious gundam reference.
Looks really similar to Char's helmet plus the Japanese VA is the same guy who voices Char.
>the last dungeon is the point where they ran out of ideas
Shouldn't that be exactly the stopping point?
No, that should be the point where they put the best ideas. Games aren't made linearly you faggot.
It's not even the last one since the bottom of Mementos technically counts as a palace.
but boat isnt the last dungeon?
hell they had an entire new gimmick for depths
Fucking what? Armstrong was 35% dank memes and a great 65% of a fucking awesome fight, he was easily the best Final Boss fight of 2013.
Literally Char voiced by Char.
Wait the english VA for Shido is also Char.
Not gonna lie, it's a literally who to me. The meme face doesn't have the helmet so I'm not sure how I was supposed to connect the dots if I'm not into Gundam.
the fuck, i never even watched gundam but spending a couple years on the internet without seeing gundam memes is fucking impossible
Most of original Gundam is pretty good, but nothing after the year 2000 is worth watching except Build Fighters and Thunderbolt.
It's a jojo-child, don't bother.
>That fucking Ongyo-Ki and Goro boss rush.
I wish he was the final boss fight instead of YET AGAIN having to defeat god at the end.
P4 had the same fucking problem. I don't care about these random gods pulling the strings behind the scenes, the entire story was set up around a human opponent that has a personal vendetta against the protagonist. Yeah, it's more "epic" to defeat god, but it's so fucking dull at this point and has no personal impact at all.
>god being the final boss of a SMT game
WOOOOOOW
fuck you, qliphoth was fucking amazing, having to fight the 4 archangels in fucked up tokyo, fighting not-YHVH and calling not-Lucifer to finish him off was fucking hype as shit and a great SMT callback
Which Palace is he in
I would agree with you if Shido appeared for more than 20 minutes in the game. If Shido was the last boss, there wouldn't be any personal impact either.
It's already pretty shitty that HE is behind EVERYTHING.
That dude that danced on the table of big bang burger? Shido did it.
The train guy? Shido is responsible.
Why is Akechi so retarded? Starts with a S ends with hido.
Madarame? The big S of course.
You know what? I bet Kamoshida sucks at Volleyball. Shido just bribed everyone so that Kamoshida gets a gold medal, which in turn will make him manifest a Palance, that Shido in turn can you use to...uh, molest imaginary girls.
Yaldabaoth was fucking sick though, the entire last dungeon was super cool. Reminded me a lot of SMT2
Never heard of him either. Then again I don't really watch anime.
Shido would have worked if they put more emphasis on him fucking over the protag with the assault charge. That's the big thing that caused the entire story to start, but all that happens is one offhand sentence of him saying "oh yeah, you're that kid I falsely incriminated" and that's it.
Such wasted potential.
YHVH was the final boss for like 3 SMT games, hardly an example to follow after.
>tfw my MC got a mudoon to the face when shido was one hit away from being dead
Thankfully I was able to start over from his second phase
They explicitly say that Kamoshida wasn't Shido's doing, though it's certainly possible Yaldabaoth manipulated him too as part of the "game," and that they only realized they could try and take advantage of the Phantom Thieves after Kaneshiro.
Why is this allowed?
How long until Eivers in the desert/It has to be this way mashup? Somebody, get on it
SINFUL FUCKING SHELL
In essence, replace ALL the scenes with the SIU director with scenes for Shido. The director did fuck all the entire game. He's on the phone with Shido all the time, but you get more angry at the fat director rather than at the person on the other end.
Akechi works, Shido doesn't really. If you took 100 hours to beat the game like me, Shido's relevancy in the story is so minor it's laughable.
>intro sequence
>that scene in the restaurant
>90+ hours of not appearing at all
>hey man, surprise, i was the villain all along, you angry at me
>who the fuck are you again?
I think they tried to somehow hide his identity to make it a big reveal. Not sure why though when it couldn't possibly be any more obvious when it's shown early that his underlings call him 'sensei' effectively giving away the identity of the mastermind who's on the phone with the principal and SIU chief.
>tfw you actually liked Yaldabaoth's theme
I mean it wasn't Rivers in the Desert good, but it still got me hyped.
>In essence, replace ALL the scenes with the SIU director with scenes for Shido.
Fuck, just remove all of these.
Like seriously, him revealing that Okunomura is a trap and then forcing the player to walk into that trap for like 2 months is the most retarded thing ever.
Not to mention those scenes don't even make sense considering it is supposed to be the MC telling Sae everything.
>get in relationship with futaba
>happy days
>get haru confidant to rank 9
>she asks about me
>her sadness and heartbreak when I tell her we're just friends
fuck guys, she takes it so badly compared to makoto
>no sense whatsoever in context
>song plays during a battle against a demon in which you attempt to steal his heart
Are you literally retarded
Not knowing Char when you are interested in Japanese anime/games/media whatsoever is like not knowing about Kennedy when you are interested in history or politics. I really don't know how you can be on Sup Forums and not know about Char, it blows my mind
Well, a good half of them have Sae in them. The rest he just looks out of the window, talking with his boyfriend about who to kill next.
She'll be fine. When her cafe is about to go under and she starts sucking off the few customers for regulars she'll have her hole that you shot in her heart filled in more ways than one.
It just felt all over the place after Battle for Everyone's Souls and Mist. It wasn't "bad" just "not as hype".
