that's like a week before Hey! Pikmin launches with the new Pikmin amiibo.
WE'RE NOT MADE OF MONEY!!
Never played a Layton game outside of Phoenix Wright vs Layton And I honestly felt Layton was a bit of a dick in that game that I couldn't enjoy it
>Lady Layton
>Monster hunter stories
>SMT: Deep Strange Journey
>Pikmin
>On top of all the other PS4, Multiplat and Switch titles already out/coming out
2017 has truly been the ebst year for videogames since the fucking 90s.
Still mad no fucking Layton Amiibo ever fucking ever god fucking damn it fuck fuck fuck
>tfw hacked my 3ds
>tfw haven't touched it in a long time so you forgot what you're supposed to do to update cfw/install games
>tfw you want to play this and any new phoenix wright game that comes out
life is suffering.
I'm probably going to get the android version instead. Also
>original puzzle master an hero
>LADY layton
>talking dog with animated butt
Dunno why anyone would like these. The games have been in steady decline
Almost like the catch is the puzzles and the nonsensical plot
>Tfw recently bricked my 3DS trying to upgrade it with A9LH beause the SD card corrupted in the boot process.
Eh, I think this is a sign telling me to go buy my games again. I've played everything worthwhile and I still need to pick up my own copies of SMT FE and Kirby at some point.
So like the first Layton game?
Nintendo was crazy in how much stuff they talked about in the last Direct. But since it was only 3DS games I get it and hope we see a bunch of Switch stuff at E3.
Like every layton game ever
But the first layton doesn't have any of the complaints I mentioned so what is your point?
I only see one complaint,and that's that there's a talking dog
and I mean, if that's enough to stop you from liking a game, you probably never liked the franchise much anyway
>no true scotsman
Christ this place is awful.
WHERE'S ALFENDI?
>bring up the pettiest complaints possible
>if those turn you off chance is you barely enjoyed the original anyway
>WOW IS THAT SOME SORTA KINDA LOGICAL FALLACY EEH, GUESS I WON THIS ONE KIDDO
eww not pspoor movies.
i remember trying a layton game
>riddle
>riddle riddle
holycrap, fuck this shit not even once
You can keep repeating your fallacious hissyfit for all I care. How about you actually respond to my argument? Read the entire thing. Try to understand it. And refute anything I've said.
Read >and properly respond. I'm not your babysitter.
After looking at your post I can't help but agree.
Stop being a kid, peoplke have other tastes than you do. Learn to respect and acknowledge those whether or not you agree with them. What are you, a kindergartner?
>"Man, why are there all these puzzles in a PUZZLE game?"
Lady Layton makes sense, considering that the series was mostly played by women anyway and Emmy was honestly more interesting than anyone else during the prequel trilogy. They botched pretty much everyone's arcs there but at least hers was mostly finished.
That said the prequel trilogy was so bad (besides its new main cast, which was generally an improvement) that I can't see how anyone would be hyped for this.
I like Layton but i'm not gonna get fucking hyped for it, get real OP
Proper responses are reserved for posts that aren't completely retarded, the condescending attitude is hilarious in contrast with how shit your original post is
What's even the point of a hat that's so fucking small
Fashion, like most clothing articles.
the mainline games are far better about him as a character. He's generally always a few steps ahead but is extremely humble and attentive to the needs of others.
The biggest problem with the crossover is that it took two series with a main draw based on logical reasoning and put them in situations where logic had no place. It would've been fine if they had gone all out and made it so Layton had to discard his own preconceptions at some point and accept Phoenix's more supernatural style of progression, but they just turned made everything work out in his favor somehow.
I wish i could get excited but everything after Unwound Future has been underwhelming.
My issue is that Phoenix has always been one of those fly by the seat of his pants and see what happens. While Layton seem to know everything anyways. So he seem pretty dickish refusing to explain anything to Phoenix that would fix everything.
Thats because Layton already figured out the entire plot halfway through the game
The entire finale is just the rest of the cast catching up to him when he could easily just spell it out to everyone
Which is exactly why a spinoff with a new focus akin to CV is perfect. No more End of the world JRPG tier plot twists, just simple at home mystery solving. Azran left a bad taste in everyones mouths
the real problem was that Unwound Future was fantastic, and they followed it up with The Last Specter, which was terrible.
did anyone else prefer the name lady layton? it just sounds better
So wait, this is another "main" Layton's game with Luke or another game with his daughter or whatever?
Spinoff seies that might go mainline. Herschel's story is done, dragging it out would make it worse, so they're continuing mysteries with a new character.
lewds when?
now
2017 is fantastic so far.
I'm not saying Lady Layton doesn't make sense.
>mostly played by women
You mean children?
I said the entire franchise was dwindling in quality. So yes I agree. I'm just worried about the puzzles. They've been steadily declining. And the new support cast just seems genuinely uninteresting. A talking dog just seems like a desperate move.
Shame. Honestly I never really felt like continuity mattered a lot in the games, even when they pushed the multi-game story arc in the prequel trilogy, but I liked Hershel.
Last Spectre got an improved version but it's Japan only
Do we know what's gonna differ between the 3DS and mobile version?
What did it improve?
a lot according to google
to be entirely fair I must've spent a good 30 or so hours playing the London Life pseudorpg that came with the game. It was extremely simple but had a great Mother vibe to it
>implying a riddle is a well tought out puzzle
