Overlooked Pokemon-like games. Pic related.

>pokemon-like
weakest buzzword of all. it wasn't overlooked at all. But the censorship and being a slow chore simulator didn't help in its favor.

Moco Moco looks cute, and the random dungeons might be interesting, but I just never had the time to play through another Pokemon-like. The stitching on the dolls looks quite nice.

>But the censorship

How was it censored?

ask disney

Did you confused it with Youkai Watch anime by any chance?

no. I've actually played the game.

Character are dialogues are quite enjoyable and the magical girl setting is quite likable. Gameplay-wise is also neat if not something memorable. If you want to play something relaxing and heart-warming, I'd recommend it.

I din't know this game had anything to do with disney.

How is Disney related with Moco Moco Friends? And what kind of censorship did it have?

They censored the word muppet despite being a real-life word because of disney. Muppets are the monsters in question.

>complaining about Pokemon-like buzzword
>using the "slow chore simulator" buzzword
kek

Well, it's good to hear that Moco Moco turned out well. Coming out around the time of Yokai Watch, it was likely to be overlooked and could've just been a cheap cash-in, so it's nice to see it turned out likeable.

Great argument

Does it run at all on Citra?

>the new fossil figthers game is shit
>flopped so we are not going to get new ones

This game felt like it couldn't decide if it wanted to be a crappy mobage or a neat RPG.

It doesnt count as "overlooked" if the game doesn't deserve to be looked at in the first place.

>TFW I pirated Fossil fighters and Champions
>Fucking love them
>Discover they're making one for 3ds
>Preorder it immediately
>It's total shit

When moralfaggotry fucks you over.

Dumb moco players

>played two great games, only paid for one
>still finds a way to complain

Any good doujinshi yet? Has the ost been ripped? Game had some catchy music.

fossil fighter is the shit

also pic related, it has furigana for the newcomer nip bros

Any spectrobes fans here?

Why is it shit? Haven't heard much about Fossil Fighters but I wonder why I never bothered getting into it more.

>People complaining at Sup Forums about the new Fossil Fighters being crap
>Never explaining why

Unlike the majority of mobage, Moco Moco Friends has actual gameplay and good production value.

from metacritic

2: "With two decent games already in the FF line-up one would think the series would only need a few upgrades to make yet another successful sequel, but that is far the case from this mess. Deep story thrown out the window, countless Vivosaur types seemingly disappearing, and changing the combat from turn based strategy to a select a choice and hope you don't miss, Fossil Fighter Frontier is an utter disgrace to its predecessors. Characters are completely stereotypical and so unoriginal, the plot a complete predictable snore, and any sense of adventure and discovery is lost not far into the game. I would never recommend this game to anyone except six year-olds, which the game seems to be directed towards."

That one's getting fan translated I think. Which is great. Also played Spectrobes, didn't get much into it but it was fun for what I played.

Also, real Monster capture greatness right here.

Oh nigga, where do I fucking begin.

Forced AI partners if you want a full team, when in the first two you controlled all three vivosaurs yourself.

This flows into fucking with the strategy layer; You could in the first two, set up a "main" vivosaur in the fron with the two in the back as support, which gave way to diffrent strategys and having all three as eaither the same element or "type" (carnivore, herbivore, omnivore) unleash a ultra power. NOT IN FRONTIER NOPE. They ultra casualized it for kids.

In Frontier, mammals and more than half of the vivosaurs from Champions were cut out, as well as Ultra vivosaurs, which were the "mega" versions of some of them.

The cars it brings are virtually pointless besides speed, all cars can break rocks and go virtually anywhere.

Those AI partners? YOU HAVE TO LEVEL THEM UP INDIVIDUALLY IF YOU WANT A FULL MAX LEVEL TEAM.

And replacing Vivosaur powers that can heal and boost in the mentioned battle which was part of making a competent team, you now have generic boosters for everything, which you'll mostly use to keep your retarded AI partners alive.

If you want good, you go with champions.

>Using metacritic review instead of having an opinion of your own
Next thing will be "Gone Home is a masterpiece".

>this blows pokemon away with the very first game in the franchise
>it still hasn't caught up with this franchise and never will because it goes more shallow with each new entry instead of deeper like this one
>will never be brought over thanks to SE being absolutely retarded as shit at localization thanks to a faggot named honeywood
KILL ME
JUST FUCKING KILL ME

Does it have 18+ type RPS?

No because RPS is for faggots.

So it doesn't blow Pokemon out of the water at all. Also it's Dragon Quest so it has recolors. It's very fun battling literal recolors. Something pokemon doesn't have either.

I really hate it when people shit on Pokemon for the wrong reasons.

There are lots of problems with it, big and little.

The biggest problem is that fights still involve six dinos (three on each side) but each one is assigned to a specific character. So, while you could play multiplayer and have two friends control the other two on your side, what it means in single-player is that the computer AI controls the other two dinosaurs. Given that the entire point of combat tactics in Frontier involves stances and building up AP for attacks, having all that taken away from you in exchange for the AI using random attacks kills every strategic aspect the game might have. What's the point of being able to build up for a big AP attack if your teammates are just going to blow through that AP on their turns? What's the point of stance interaction if you have no way to force an enemy into a specific stance for you to follow up with the right attack?

There's also the fossil hunting/cleaning aspect. The first two games let you gather fossils, then clean them all in one batch. You could get in a rhythm of cleaning, or even pass on the cleaning if you weren't up to it. You could also hand the fossils over to the bot for an auto-cleaning if you didn't feel like it. In Frontier, though, you just drive up to the fossil point and need to clean it right there. Didn't want to switch between battles and driving around and cleaning? Well tough shit, because that's how the game works now. And the whole "dinosaurs might attack while cleaning" is irrelevant because there will either be a dinosaur nearby, which will clearly attack before you get there, or it's passive an nothing to worry about.

Oh yeah, and the driving. Hope you like driving around with shitty racing game controls for getting around, because you have to do that in all situations. Also have to "race" in the secret areas under a time limit to fight the dinosaur/get the fossil.
