Name one flaw.

Wish they had you kill Portuguese euro-spics as opposed to Spanish ones.
Capcom keep remastering it. Like twice now.
DE TRAS DE TI, IMBECILE
To be fair the first PC version was shit.
Love having this around
the game doesn't make sense
how did the president's daughter get captured if he built a wall and those dumb mexicans cant get across
>reddit: the game
They are from Spain you dimwit.
It was actually meant to be set in the USA originally, but they found that the zombies were too big of a targets
yall play the castle hd texture release? shits incredible. after that full release, the game literally WILL be perfect
it was released on gamecube
You couldn't move while targeting, island was boring besides degenerators
QTE, the bad miss them and you instantly die sort.
If you could move while targeting it would be way too easy.
It's fucking boring.
Boring puzzles.
Boring shooting.
Boring zombies.
Boring setting.
Boring graphics.
The only good part were all the death animations.
I also like Quick-time events, so those were alright by me, especially the knife fight.
The only thing I think it did RIGHT was how it scaled difficulty with your performance.
Less enemies spawn in an area if you keep dieing during it. If you're doing well, the game won't spawn as much ammo as it might normally. That kind of thing. I think it's a genius move to try to make sure the game flows well for anybody playing it.
Though I still hate the game because I don't like game where the character's shoulders and back take up half of the screen. And RE4 popularized that.
Weapon swap requires pausing the game.
the entire second half
lots of bullet everywhere unlike previous RE
Portuguese are white though, unlike the spanish.
The fov in the game is abysmal. I get that poor controls are kind of a necessity for the genre and if it was less bad then the gameplay would be too easy and the game would be too much like RE5/6/Rev1/2. But jesus fucking christ is it horrible.
t.alberto barbosa
Leon is gay.
>people hating on re4
>remember that like 90% of this board plays garbage like overwatch
honestly not surprised
>mentioning a flaw in a game is the same as hating it
you fucking autist you
>hurr boring
Nice non arguments, retard.
QTEs
I played it a few months ago for the first time and aside from the terrible QTEs the game held up perfectly.
You have to swap discs. the wii version is best.
ARRraaraaAOooooo
>Defending RE5 and RE6
Garbage talking shit about crap
RE4 and RE5 are pretty much the same game, guy.
NO WAY FAG
hehe
No Hookman or allucinations
Saddler was way to easy to defeat.
Honestly I had more trouble on the damn jet ski than I had fighting him
It's just artificial boredom my dude
All these ports and you still can't aim with the right stick.
It didn't take place in a residence
Yep the whole action RE age as pure crap
My first ever experience with the game was the Wii version and the controls were fucking amazing.
I bought it again on xbone recently and holy shit is it hard to aim or do anything in this game. Also the 'quick-knife' button got removed. I'm very disheartened.
Why do you own an Xbone?
The Island in its entirety.
Waiting for the improved version of the Switch and the PS4 and PSN aren't attractive to me.
You can't strafe or move while shooting.
It didn't contain best girl.
Don't worry, she'll get LEON'D soon
Shockingly jarring controls. Even on the ps4 re release.
las plagas meme
makes people angry meme
not real zombies meme
all the the Ashley sections
ample ammo removes sense of urgency and fear
This game has alot wrong with it, people love it because its babbys first re
The remaster has an aim glitch happening after every explosions because of high framerate. Capcom will never fix it becaude very few people noticed, it makes the game more difficult
I honestly enjoyed RE6, and both Revelations games more than RE4.
RE5 is cancer, tho.
Nope. 5 featured a nigress tagging along with you 24/7, which pretty much killed all the immersion. In survival horrors you are supposed to be ALONE.
>This game has alot wrong with it, people love it because its babbys first re
Fuck off with your memes. I played the originals long before re4. I remember reading about it in Nintendo power and being hyped as fuck.
I thought that RE5 was fun but only with a friend
QTE scale with the difficulty making, QTE the hardest part of the professional run. That's the only reason I only play professional one time every time they rererelease it every 4 years in hd.
Pretty much this.
The HD texture mod can't come soon enough.
I'm dying to replay the game, but I decided to wait for the mod to be completed.
>survival horror
If it was re1-3 then yes i would agree with you but re5 is action horror which works better with a friend.
Qte and over the shoulder, That was easy.
That's the point. It was a RE game that didn't work as a RE game, unlike 4. Therefore it was shit.
It's too long
Make enemies move faster. Problem solved.
Every iteration of Resident Evil was more action oriented than the next.
>RE and RE2 pretty samey
>RE3 has a dodge button and more encounters
>RE: CV has a lot more combat
>RE4 is almost entirely an action game, a bit held back, but has a lot of horror themes and areas
>RE5 is entirely action, introduces co-op to embrace this
>RE6 is entirely action, puts in a shitload of campaigns because bang for buck I guess
>RE: Revelations is pure action again
>RE7 goes "back to roots" in a really shitty first person game where you fight the same people over and over and some generic enemies
RE5 is fun as heck with a buddy. It's so fucking dumb with punching boulders and CHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS that it's some of the best schlock.
Survival horrors used to featured that as a mechanic for a reason, along with the clunky controls and fixed or wacky camera angles. It added to the immersion and uneasiness of the game, which was capital in a game of that type. Todyas survival horrors aren't neither "survival", nor "horror" anymore. They are third person shooters with skerry monsters.
It fits with the tone of the game. You should be afraid of death at all times in a Resident Evil game, and RE4 was more action oriented anyway, so QTEs where you die if you mess up are perfect.
>Doesn't have best girl
Thats a big flaw right there buddy
thats a cool cover
this is the only valid post in the thread so far.
shitty unresponsive controls, not scary, terrible meme camera angle that ruined 3rd person perspective games forever
First, game takes place mid 2000's, ain't no fucking president build a wall YET and it's 2017.
Second, makes us build the wall to keep us out? Sure. Hey, you want to hire a bunch Mongols to build the wall of China while we're at it. I'm sure they'll abide by an honor code and not add a whole fuck of a lot of hidden doors and passages to go with it.
No Claire.
Yes, it has it's flaws and it isn't perfect. But it is very, very close.
I own the Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, PS4 and PC version of this god damn game. I have played through it countless times over and over and over and over again.
And yet STILL. If Capcom announces a Switch version? I'll buy a Switch AND the game again. All I have ever wanted is an accessibly portable version of the game and this looks like the perfect opportunity for that to happen.
God. I hate myself. But, man. Do I ever love RE4.
It can't be ported.
Seriously. Ever play any of the HD ports. They suck ass. I know that the RE4HD project is a thing but that'll never become a thing on council.
>the cutscenes doesn't change to your current weapon
>the reload animation for the shotgun is shit (Leon only puts two shells in)
>you get ammo from the enemies, you should have to get them from the salesman
>only like seven models of ganados, why only Shenmue made a city full of different people?
Back then, magazines say that RE4 took it's camera from Splinter Cell.
Can't keep the jacket.
Pretty much everything after you enter the castle.
>That pic
Fucking Nani?
Weapons like the TMP aren't as useful given the combat rewards headshots over just dumping a mag into them
What did he mean by this?
...
