All it needed was to not have the worthless gimmick touch screens to lower the price and it would have flown off the shelves.
Why add shit gimmicks no one wants?

All it needed was games that aren't niche Japanese titles to give it some mainstream appeal. That's what truly killed the Vita
This and mohun.
Nobody gives a shit about features such as touchscreen or 3D really. It's about GAMES.
All it needed was to have a proper CFW like the PSP and it would have flown off the shelves.
Why do companies not understand that piracy drives hardware sales?
>Gain profit on hardware sales
>lose 4x as much from lost software sales
It's not worth it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again
I'm fine with the price of the device, it's the obscenely priced proprietary memory cards that I'm not okay with
Goddamnit, that too. What a retarded idea.
I plan on buying this, what should i expect?
Make sure its Firmware 3.60 or lower. If it's not, you won't be able to hack it.
Why would i wanna hack it?
It turns it into the best portable emulator out there. Also, free games
i dont need an emulator or free games tho?
Lower the price and the specs go down making it too close to the 3DS in performance eliminating its literal only selling point.
The Vita still gets shit for games causing it to crater.
Then don't hack it. Easy as that.
All it needed was memory card prices that don't butt fuck you after already paying for the console and it would have flown off the shelves.
>What should i expect?
Not monster hunter that's for sure.
I think it's a chicken and egg scenario. If the initial price was lower and more units were sold it would have encouraged Sony and devs to actually support the console.
>L2 and R2 instead of rear touch pad
>no front facing camera since it's useless and covered by your thumb pretty often
>never release a 3G model because it blew
>obviously just use fucking microSD because your gay memory card prices weren't worth making piracy marginally more tedious
>also use microUSB to begin with since the proprietary connector was lousy and pirated by chinks immediately
Memory card
man that house looks maximum comfy, i can only aspire to something of that caliber
>3G model because it blew
I was able to play Blazblue CSEX over the 3G network with my free month of 3G. That was mindblowing for someone who never owned a smartphone prior to that. Of course, it was like 15/month, and most games didn't even support multiplayer over it, so I never resubscribed.
The back touch hardly added any costs to it at all. I do agree that it and the cameras were pretty worthless though.
If they truly cared about price they wouldn't have bothered putting the PSP hardware onto the Vita chip to begin with. That's why it can play every PSP game without any issues emulating it, and that added way more cost than anything else besides the OLED screen did.
