And why's it 2.

best everything

Unity

Having just played through them again recently I think Brotherhood is an all around better game than 2.

You can even skyglide
Gud graphics remake of 2
How so

Combat is piss easy compared to 2. But it's also more fun

Kind of sad the best game in a franchise is the one with useless weapon choices and retarded economy

Why else thinks the slasher combat in Syndicate is pretty cool?

I wasn't a fan really. Having to pummel a guy 10 times just to stab him got annoying.

the one I don't have to play

>Rome Tycoon
>good

I hope the next onem , Empire, features an Egyptean guy instead of a n.

That existed as early as Brotherhood.

The final fight with the villain involves you having to knock off his neck armor so that a scripted event can kill him. Ezio keeps trying to stab his armored neck. Meanwhile Altair two games earlier was killing people by stabbing them right through their fucking eyesockets.

Scripted "handholding" that overrides gameplay has been the bane of this series since 2, but reached its peak in 3 and has continued since.

>ITS MINE NOT YOURS
>WHERE IS THE APPLE
>*sobs*

Having played through them again recently myself I have to disagree.

Other than just a generally tighter game I liked the various smaller locations which were visually presented in such a way to make them feel bigger than they were. Rome was generally boring even before all the repetitive side missions and I used fast travel at every turn.

What would you say has the best AC combat?

Rogue is the best Assassin's Creed.

Play it. I could write a book on why it's so fucking good, and better than the others. Here are a few reasons

>turns the series logic on its head, put templars in a new light
>polishes the weapons that have been added over the past few games
>no handholding, lets you free pretty much from the get go
>three areas (river valley, north atlantic, and new york) are smaller than the major areas in other recent assassin creed games, but much better designed and polished
>shorter story, which the game heavily benefits from
>doesn't force politics down your throat
>doesn't feel like a historical roller coaster for the first time in forever
>outfits are /fa/ as fuck
>takes the sailing from black flag and makes it better
>actually challenging parts to the game (templar hunters are a real threat, the legendary ships are switched with naval battles, which are based on the actual real life scenarios, and are challenging, rewarding and tough
>rebuilding the world actually feels like its worth something, and can be done from anywhere on your boat
>the income from upgrading the world is actually worth it, makes dosh
>Shay is actually a decent protagonist
>the modern day segment is actually not a chore
>ending is decent, both for the modern and historical segments of the game
>good endgame rewards, finding all the collectables isn't actually boring since the world design is good, the world is fun to explore, and it isn't just copy-paste desert islands and jungles, real variety within the different environments (new york is a bit of a slog, but its dense so its not as much as an issue as it would be)
>manages to make the AC combat feel more rewarding by flipping the game on its head (you're no longer the assassin, but trying to stop assassins)
>stealth is actually fun and good
And best of all
>no fucking tailing missions

Is the map bigger than 4?

2 was so easy though, I think people just compare it to the snorefest that was 1.

The overall landmass probably is. They wasted less time with shitty islands, and theres much more explorable land. You can travel between islands now, and all areas are now decently sized, there are no tiny little islands with one or two collectables any more, everything is decently sized. More larger settlements besides the main city, it really is the best game in the series.

Imagine if you took principe from 4, but every island was like that, and they all were better designed, and there as actual variety in design, not just being generic jungle. There's a huge variety in areas. In River Valley you can also travel basically the entire map without fast travel or your boat, since there are rafts that let you travel to nearby areas, and many of the areas in River Valley are connected landwise, so it feels much better, and is really fucking comfy too if you like that sorta shit.

It's a great game on its own, and is by far the best in the series. It feels natural, and unforced, and its awesome. Just wandering around innawoods, before coming across a battle between the french and british, sneaking up to the british officer and taking them out, and blowing their gunpowder by shooting it with you blowdart. Or stalking an assassin trying to kill his target, before killing him stealthily at the last second before he kill his target, no one even noticing, its fucking awesome.

Best game in the series, by far. If you don't play any others, play Rogue.

Brotherhood is the best

Ezio is the best

Brotherhood>2>Revelations>Black Flag>1>3

Maybe it's that good because it was spent a lot of time on, getting that insight and experience from 4 and perfecting it. Reminds me of 2, to be honest.

Fpbp

two, definitely. The main theme is pure unadulterated kino

It reuses the setting from III and the gameplay from IV. It perfects the implementation of North America, and the actual gameplay.

It's the best AC game, by far. If you don't trust Ubisoft or AC games (for good reasons), then pirate it, you'll see how good it really is. You can't even call me out for shilling since Ubisoft seems to wish this game didn't even exist in the first place.

What's wrong with the flying machine?
The flying machine, and the other inventions in Brotherhood, are some of the best sequences in the series.

I was praising it brah

3 but with crossable oceans which is cool. I like the dark atmosphere of Rogue. Gonna play it on PS3.

i only played the 2nd one, but it was really cool feeling like i was in old ass europe the world was great.

gameplay gets really long and repetitive after a while but the ending payoff was pretty good.

your points are valid but I can't resist the piratey theme of 4

While I do agree the piratey theme is awesome, the game is much too repetetive. There's actually a wide variety of things to do in Rogue compared to Black Flag.

You can still be piratey in Rogue too. They also brought back the older system for sending away boats so you don't have to do a dumb minigame, just send the best fastest boat you have and continue playing. The game is comfy as hell, especially in the river valley areas, so you can just spend hours exploring. You can go from full Huck Finn, to Innawoods frontiersman, to Polar Explorer, to Pirate, to Native murderman, to whatever else you fucking want, since the outfits are /fa/ as fuck.

Ubisoft needs to start outsourcing their amazing game concepts to competent developers

Did no one like Revelations?

I thought it was pretty good, the movement was great, old ezio was a total fucking dude and ladies man like some fucking commercial for old man hair dye. Best bros with a character that was pretty fun.

And then we got the shitshow that was 3.

Brotherhood was good, but I really enjoyed revelations more desu.

Unity, by quite a bit.

I liked Revelations' story. It was the only one of the trilogy where Ezio didn't feel like a contrived god assassin. Him rushing and accidentally killing an ally, and also actually putting his girlfriend in danger were nice touches.

It's fucking awful.

2 > Brotherhood > Rogue=3 > 1 > dog shit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> muh faggy pirates> Failed ezio clone Unity > Britbongs

Unity is better than IV, if only because it has much better mission variety.

I played Brotherhood first and enjoyed 2 infinitely more.
