The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind surely helped sell some system, and Nintendo confirmed that it sold 1.3 million million copies of that game. 925,000 of those copies were on the Switch and 460,000 were sold on the Wii U.
That’s right, Nintendo had more than a 100 percent attach rate for Zelda on the Switch. That’s likely for people who were able to buy the game but couldn’t find the system in its first four weeks on the market.
Nintendo also notes that, in the U.S., the Switch is now its fastest-selling console ever and Zelda is the fastest-selling Nintendo launch game.
Zelda held its own notably against the massively hyped Horizons Zero Dawn, which had a paltry showing in its first month.

When it gets and retains a flow of 3rd party titles, and when Nintendo decides to stop charging an enormous markup for a platform that costs 1/4th of its shelf price to produce I'll care. If the platform has success that's great, Breath of the wild is good but I'll never buy it on switch as I already have a WiiU, same with MK8.
As it is now I have next to zero reason to ever buy a switch, as all its doing is once again shitting on its old fans. If they really cared ports like MK8D would allow you to get a discount, and they wouldn't be charging for online for their servers which I can gaurantee you don't see a fraction of the stress or traffic enough to justify a pricetag to access it, especially not compared to Microsoft and Sony. If they decide to cater to their real core again who've been following them for decades now, at some point I'll give a fuck.
