Its not a very good game. Its not horrible but it's 7/10 at the best of times. There are enough good games out there to keep you occupied, no need to waste your time on this one.

Completely run-of-the-mill FPS, gameplaywise. Things like their completely uninspired and token use of their rail system and the escort buddy illustrate that they fell way short of whatever vision they initially had for this game.

Oh god yes. It's unbelievably fun and the story is amazing. Plus Liz is the beat NPC in history. It's the best Bioshock by a mile.

no. the game is bland as shit. you get to walk around during cutscenes and then you get to move to a locked area where you have to shoot all the mobs and then rinse repeat

you experience the height of the gameplay the moment you get a gun and you can just stop playing there without missing out on anything

The high point was the DLC if that tells you anything.

It's a 7/10 main story, 9/10 DLC.

So if you feeling like going through that than yes. I unironically enjoyed it though. If you liked B1 and B2 you won't necessarily like it or dislike it. They don't play the same.

I played it last year and, no. It doesnt do anything with its setting nor does it have fun combat, great story, or interesting characters. They had something with the skyrails but you end up only using them when you inevitably lose all your ammo or fight one of those big fist faggots.

I've been trying to start this game 3 times, but I drop it right after everyone turns against you. Loved the 1st one though.

Felt too much like a theme park to me. Never felt as if I was in an actual location with a history, everything just felt like copypasted scenery flats with no attempt at coherency. One minute you'd be in some entertainment part of the city and the entire skyline is filled with the same 2d citychunk with the same ferris wheel and then you travel a short distance to a shopping area and suddenly the skyline is filled for miles in every direction with the same copypasted 2d business building sprites.

Even if it wasn't. This is not subconsciousness. Scenes like this in history have always been about race mixing, which is why we associate it with that. It's normal to make the association, and normal to mock the game for recreating a scene like that.

Not really. Combat is dumbed down and not fun. The story doesn't make any sense if you put any thought into it after the ending. The world is interesting but never fully used.
The cinematics are pretty cool and the art and design are great as always. Elizabeth is a good character too.
It's just dissapointing. Get it on sale and bundled with the other games if you really wanna play it.

I guess that makes sense that people living in big cities will appreciate the environments in BS:I more. For me the underwater environments were way more comfier and fun to explore. Plus the darkness hid most of the shortcuts they had to take to make it run.

Played it to completion twice when it came out and I would play Bioshock Infinite again.

You have to remember it exists on a scale with shit like Bad rats and in an overcrowded market. 6/10 is the bare minimum for a game to be worth even looking at. 5/10 is functional with minimal crashing.

The problem with the game was the "Bioshock" in the title. It would have been literally alright if it didn't raise any expectations after what Bioshock 1 and 2 gave us. Because then people expected a game that plays like the previous Bioshocks when in reality the only things they have in common are "gain powers to use with your left arm at the cost of a blue substance" and searching absolutely every fucking container on your way to eat everything that's in them

No more carrying multiple weapons at a time with 3 different ammo types each to use in varying situations
No more possibility to heal using medkits you found earlier, get a useless shield instead, at least it refills itself over time :^)
No more carrying EVE syringes on you to be able to use your plasmids almost non-stop

Despite all the major differences gameplay-wise, they fucking had to name it Bioshock, when the only thing related to previous Bioshocks are the ending, and the dlcs.

Yeah it's pretty fun. My only real complaint was the 2-weapon limit and some upgrade balancing.

Think of it this way: Infinite streamlined everything that worked to some degree in Bioshock, and threw out everything that didn't work in it.

Bioshock tried to be a horror rpg. It didn't work. Bioshock Infinite os an action game. It worked.

It's how all sequels should be made, really.

It wasn't as much "dumbing down" as it was abandoning genre conventions that obviously weren't working in a console marketplace and acted as nothing but chaff to fool the rubes (hence people on Sup Forums defending Bioshock 1 to this day). It was the right thing to do.

There are very few games ive played that i didnt enjoy myself, and bioshock wasnt one of them. Has very little replayability, but i enjoyed the first playthrough. But that wasnt the point here. The point was if you view anything as a waste of time, dont rate it 7/10.
