What will be the next nip franchise to fall for western memes?
What will be the next nip franchise to fall for western memes?
3D Mario.
When will you stop forcing this shitty meme?
SS is far more derivative than BotW was to the core of the franchise, which is the first game
>dungeons in the first game are simplistic like BotW shrines and beasts
>free-form exploration like in BotW
>minimal story like in BotW
>minimal handholding like in BotW
>focus more on exploration than shitty puzzles, like in BotW
Kill yourself
Ape Escape, when they put a pipo monkey in Skylanders
Yes, I love SS. Good of you to assume.
I'm saying skyward sword fits the bill of "it's not a Zelda game". It completely ignored the exploration aspect of zelda games, and only doubled down on puzzles.
Actually hell, now that I think of it, MM should be the best fit. It contains the three day system which is a far cry from what Zelda is
I thought MGSV was a great Operations game, took everything I loved about the PSP games and brought them to the big screen
Depends on how you think of a Zelda game. For me I like the linearity of the past games down to something like having to collect specific bottles to collect stuff. The progression of getting new items and having to use them to get to new areas or finish dungeons rather than have everything at the start making all the puzzles overall less complex to account for that. also music
it's a good game, but not a good x game is the worst meme
Just because something manages to be bad doesn't mean you should praise it
>For me I like the linearity of the past games down to something like having to collect specific bottles to collect stuff.
You're a minority nigger. Get over it.
Reminder that open world games are the future. There's nothing wrong with them, they're just typically copypasta messes.
let me put it this way
A Zelda game has 10 dungeons and 10 items and is linear.
As you progress through the linear order of dungeons and your inventory of items increases dungeons can't be more and more difficult or complex from being able to require more and more items or skills. The first dungeon is easiest and the last is hardest, or at least generally rises in difficulty.
Now take a Zelda game with 10 dungeons, 10 items, but is not linear.
Ever dungeon has to be designed to be completable with only one item like with ALBW removing progression making all dungeons at the lower end of difficulty.
>try to have a discussion about zelda
>trigger you immediately and resort to calling me a nigger
kek
Both are just terrible...
First is from a franchise that was never good and second went to shit years ago when they decided to focus turning their classic 2d franchise into 3d.
As usual OP is the meme.
DMC
That has almost never been the case. Most dungeons do not use all prior items. Even some of the completely linear games like Wind Waker, the Wind Temple doesn't use the Mirror Shield for example.
Even ww was worse in the "traditional" zelda aspects than botw
>worse dungeons; hyrule castle blows everything ww has to offer out of the water. Divine beasts are better too, while true they're too short, ww dungeons are just garbage
>worse story and characterization/development; zelda in botw has the best development in the series of any character while muh wind is arguably the dumbest thing the series has yet to do
>worse puzzles; not only are puzzles completely bereft of creativity in ww, only having one solution, they're insultingly easy
>worse exploration and combat; no explanation needed though I'll add ww has the worst combat in the series
The only complaints I've heard about botw grounded in reality are durability (the system itself is needed in the context of the game but I agree it can be tweaked) and dungeon themes which I feel is the dumbest argument. Who gives a fuck how a dungeon looks if it's garbage like in ww? Give me something that makes me actually use spatial reasoning and cognition over making it look pretty any day
That shit applies to MGS5, but it doesn't apply to Zelda BotW.
yeah, but the first Zelda wasn't linear, so your argument is shit. One could argue that BOTW is more of a "Zelda" game than any other title.
I'd sooner called BOTW a true "Zelda" game than the pile of shit SS was.
Seriously the Divine Beasts get too much criticism for stupid things. Yes they're easy and short, but traversing them was interesting. That hasn't consistently been the case in a Zelda game for a long time.
Also I don't get the complaint that they arr rook same. The commanlity is the tileset but they're all totally different giant mechs in completely different backgrounds. Being in a dungeon that was moving around and seeing the outside world was cool.
BotW is a good Zelda game. And it's a finished game.
Also it's fun for its ridiculous length.
Both MGSV and Zelda are like 100 hour plus games but holy shit missions in MGSV were terrible.
