Who would win in a battle betweent El Gigante and Tyrant?

Yeah, that part is pretty lame in general. When you have to do that shit in the higher difficulties it just comes down to frustrating memorization. But it kinda keeps the game fresh somehow, you know, adds variation

Both die to a single rocket launcher shot, so that's anyone's guess. EG is bigger but also more mobile, so it'd probably win for that reason alone.

The harder enemies to gauge would be something like Alexia, because fuck knows what the firepower of the something like the Linear Launcher is supposed to be.

The Tyrants in Damnation and Code Veronice were pretty mobile though, but yeah, El Gigante seems much more mobile

El gigante can be killed with conventional weapons. Even with just a knife if you're good. Tyrant doesn't die until you shoot it with a stinger missile or something. -And I haven't seen el gigante wielding a launcher.

Rebecca kills the Proto-Tyrant with conventional weapons though. I don't know how much stronger the actual Tyrant is supposed to be

I suppose it also depends on which Tyrant. Nemesis is still part of the family, so if you're including him, he'd probably win (mobility and speed is comparable if not greater than EG, rocket launchers only KO him, he keeps regenerating/mutating even if you damage him, required three rail cannon blasts to finally beat him and even then he survived to be finished by Jill, albeit barely).

Well firstly, Rebecca is best girl. Secondly, proto-tyrant had an exposed spine that was a weak spot.

Depends on the tyrant model. T-103 showed some insane regenerative abilities, so I think it could beat gigante through attrition.

Why do people say that Darkside Chronicles is better than Umbrella Chronicles, by the way. I found it to be a bit of a downgrade gameplay-wise.

I actually thought that Darkside Chronicles's biggest improvement was the gameplay.

I think it has more to do with how much people like RE2. Also the dynamic between Leon/Claire and Leon/Krauser is pretty good, and the voice acting and remade cutscenes are quite well done

Umbrella Chronicles was known for it's pretty unforgiving difficulty and that put off a lot of people and made many more just drop the game. Umbrella adapted and included many options so it was as hard or as easy as you wanted it to be and I feel that was the right direction. Always offer choice.
