Kematu, his story makes more sense. If it was like she said, then she would have been killed on the spot as they wouldn't have needed her alive. You can even run into Redguards looking for her before you even get to this quest and they just want to capture her, so it's not an act.

I always side with Saadia. Even if she's in the wrong, I would never compromise a lady's belief in me. And do you really want to help some assassins over a delicate desert flower who sees you as her knight in shining armor?

No. No quest outcome whatsoever results in any change to any faction apart from the Saadia faction and the Alik'r faction, both of which have no faction relationship to any other faction. These factions only exist for quest scripting reasons, they essentially cease to exist when the quest is over.

Whatever outcome you pick has no bearing on any faction in the game whatsoever.

The war with the Dominion and Hammerfell ended 25 years ago.

Her claim is that the Thalmor are slowly corrupting the nobles in Hammerfell (which you see happening in Skyrim) and that she became a target because she spoke out against this.
