Are there any OLD games that you go back and play purely because they're entertaining, have aged well or are good for nostalgia points, Sup Forums? I'm thinking games along the lines of Kings Field, Half Life 1, Morrowind, etc.

Would love some suggestions, if that's OK. Preferably PC or emulatable consoles.

Tribes 2 is still the best shooter ever, the mods like rabbit and arena and classic lt just blow everything else out of he water.

Still beautiful graphics too.

Banjo Kazooie and Star Fox 64. The former should emulate fine, but the latter I couldn't tell you.

medieval 1 & 2

Age of Empires 2
StarCraft
EverQuest
Mechwarrior 3
Checkers

Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Some of the Final Fantasies
Diablo 2
Some of the Tycoon games like Rollercoaster or Zoo

Parasite Eve II

There's nothing else exactly like it, and I have the game world memorized entirely.

Shin Megami Tensei.

The nostalgia hits me hard and it's still a great game once you stop getting lost in the mall.

Magicka
Nox
Homeworld
Sacrifice
Dungeon Keeper 2

I would hardly say it aged well, but I love it anyways.

Unreal, UT, Total Annihilation, Earth 2150, SimCity 4 (not THAT old).

Thunder Force IV and V

>Magicka
Meant Arcananum, my face is tired.

Master of Orion 2. I go back to it a hell of a lot.

Alternatively, Battlezone 2.

Descent 1 or 2 runs are fun to sink an afternoon on every few months.

Ys I & II on turbo grafx

Pokemon Red. My first game holds a soft spot in my heart.

I replay evil genius occasionally

How has no one said Deus Ex?

I occasionally get either Zeus/Poseidon or Rise of the middle Kingdom out and play it again.

FFT, MMX, MM Legends, Starcraft, Front Mission

Its not even a matter of being balls to the wall best in these games, they're just the right amount of length and difficulty to pop in, get a few victories, and feel satisfied

Commando (comics): The Game

This pisses on Firaxis' XCOM's and on every Jagged Alliance sequels/remakes. Silent Storm engine is capable of carrying out enviromental damage so amazing nothing else has come close even to date.
