has there been a more reddit thread than this?
From:
>Well, you se- ah, why even bother, you stupid ape!?.You couldn't even begin to comprehend! Just know you're fucked, primitive. Good bye, ya filthy animal.
To:
>Ah yes, you see... we must kill you to save you, because machinse and organics would otherwise fight, so let's fight, organic.
Also
>We must prevent the organic v AI problem but we are only gonna cover one galaxy.
What if it happens in another?
Bravo.
Sounds like a cheap knock-off of The Many from System Shock 2.

So this is BioWare, How fucking embarrassing.
It really isn't anything like The Many. Also The Many are better. Also, they were right.
>How to use many words to say nothing at all
Basically the Kohr-Ah without the menace
youtube.com
Sovereign's dialogue was a total ripoff of the Kohr-Ah
Incidentally, The Ur-Quan's Sad Story is a far better monologue.
>>We must prevent the organic v AI problem but we are only gonna cover one galaxy.
>their entire existence revolves around fighting organics while being synthetics
I AM THE ORIGIN OF LIFE,THE DEVOURER OF DEATH
I AM THE HUB OF THE WHEEL

Anything off Legacy of Kain, really

love the music there
I want to fuck that
I like how... OP's post is literally everyone's reaction to comparing past bioware/mass effect to its current shit. and now here we are like. wow what bullshit what a ripoff. its just funny
This guy did a very good job at playing the devil that treated the world like a game.
I've never seen this before. Honestly they should have just ripped off most of their backstory for the Reapers, it would have made far more sense than what we got.
A lot of things in Mass Effect are point-for-point ripoffs from Star Control
The Asari and Quarians are the Syreen split in two, while the Krogans are slightly smarter versions of the Thraddash.
A lot of things from both series are just sci-fi/fantasy cliches.
Neither SC nor ME invented sexy alien babes.
Sure, but it's funny how both SC and ME have sexy blue alien women with psychic powers that basically everyone wants to fuck and can have babies with aliens
this was fucking horrible, you have to be literally 15 to think it's amazing
he says the same thing about 7 times using basically the same few phrases. about 20 seconds of actual content in that speech delivered in 1:39
just horrible
I think the fact that the video cuts between the dialogue makes it a little worse than it actually is
youtube.com
I'm not so sure
>Shepard: Question
>Sovereign: Non-answer
>repeat until finished
that's definitely better, and makes more sense
i really need to play these games
>Mass Effect ripped off StarControl
Oh sweetie...
>That alien intonation
Damn, how did I not hear of this before
youtube.com
>dat Reaper logic by ME3
This one is obviously superior
youtube.com
God I just wanna run my nails through that and tear em all off
Except we don't know anything about the Shivans besides abuse of Subspace pisses them off.
Also, the Shivans didn't leave Subspace devices lying around for the Terrans and Vasudans
>Gaunter O'Dimm
>G O D
yfw he wasn't the devil
>tfw missed out on the Reaper replica.
Sucks that I was poor when I was young.
Damn I missed that
>We're gonna melt you into goo and make you better
Nah
>you can't possibly comprehend
>explains it all anyway
Sovereign and the rest of the reapers are just as edgy as their namesake but I really enjoyed them
Man, I loved the voices of the Reapers
yeah they were great
I am Darkwing Duck
Grigori's monologue really makes the game.

not like it ever meant anything

Prophet of Truth's speech was pretty imposing. Odd he had a different speech from Halo 2 but I still like it.
How is this game? Is it still playable? These dialogues alone have made me interested.
The reapers were one of those things that the author should never explain, because the answer is always going to be disappointing.
I hated with a passion that bioware created destroyer level reapers just so they could wank the player dick by allowing him to kill reapers, after all the hype I was expecting citadel class reapers with impenetrable shields and giant crimson fuck you lazers that could shatter a planet in two, I was expecting at least hundred of citadel class reapers with thousands capital reaper ships, enough to block the sun in every world, what I got was baby sized destroyers that can be killed by one or two well placed shots from ships who are barely holding together from how old they are.
It does not even makes sense creating destroyer level reapers, reaper dont reproduce willy nilly, only at the end of the cycle, they cant afford to lose ships, so whats the fucking point of creating a destroyer that can be easily killed instead of going for more size and potency? Reapers can travel and turn at speeds that would shatter a normal human/turian ship, so being bigger is not even a drawback for them.

No HD, no Precursor's OST
You'll figure it out
I just read about SC's lore/species for about 10 minutes and man, the world is so much more interesting and elaborate than Mass Effect's.
Mass effect is just a chain of "Oh these Asari chicks became space faring, oh and then these Salarian dudes became space faring, oh and then the Volus space Jews became space faring, and then they all had fun together on the Citadel".
We ar the Ur'Quan Kohr-ah we fight the kzer'za for supremacy of doctrine

>late to the party
>can't even post the animated version
Krogan and Thraddash are Klingons and every other Proud Warrior Race Species.
Asari and Syreen are Orion slave girls from Star Trek and every other sexy space vixen.
