There's a slot machine that released recently where you can get a guaranteed 15-18k every single day. After 25 days you get a guaranteed 100k. An event happened recently where you had to beat extremely low scores in games in exchange for items that sold on the market for as much as several hundred thousand, or in one case (where the score was actually slightly difficult, but no more then you would be able to get with maybe 10-20 minutes of trying), 2 million.

This game was actually good as fuck.

It's pretty dull, the game is about 98% grinding hell. There's a handful of NPCs to interact with which adds a tiny bit of intrigue, but they're all front loaded, so by the end of the game you're spending hours just going back and forth, killing literally hundreds and hundreds of the same mob (unless you set up a script to do it for you). Once you beat the game, you get the chance to play it again at a harder difficulty where it takes twice as much XP to level up so you get to do twice the grinding.

I remember reading somewhere most of the pet design polls were always rigged. The designers basically already chose who the winner was and began working on finalizing the work long before.

If you haven't noticed, a lot of the losers of these comps end up becoming petpets or incorporated into other future designs. Most likely those were the true winners.

The concept of the website is pretty neat, and plots and events kept things lively.
Problem is, you need a motivated team for stuff like this. Without that, it just gets repetitive for the players.

This is the ideal Neopet. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

It's probably what's keeping neopets in business at this point, but it's such a garbage monetization scheme.

I don't know about those specific clothes but the majority of good clothing in the game is bought with NP, to be honest the mall's selection is rather ass. But some people must like it as they keep releasing more shit in the mall.

The appeal of Neopets was that they weren't overly cutesy. All of the original pet artwork was simple with basic colors, shading, and expressions. The art was literally Pokémon. This just looks like a mess.

What I've always wanted was an MMO with patch events in the vein of Neopets plots and wars. The stuff people did in vanilla WoW trying to find a way to purify the Ashbringer reminds me of the cryptic and player-driven way they progressed.
