The Switch is showing that the market for the Wii U isn't the same as the market for the Switch, as Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the biggest sellers on Amazon at this moment, and Breath of the Wild has sold more on Switch than there are Switch units in the wild.

Bayo 1+2 re-release just means Nintendo is sitting on another set of games to release during a potential drought between Switch originals, and the fact that it was such a highly talked about set of games on the Wii U guarantees good word of mouth if they want to re-release them.

Because Nintendo is a hardware manufacturer first and foremost. They don't care about the actual games as much as they do about their hardware sales. So giving away their exclusives, the means to sell the hardware, is a big no no.
