while i personally like it a lot of people stay away from it because people who have been playing for ages have mega loot and just kill all the fucking noobs who have nothing with their pristine aks and body amour they need a weekly wipe system so its skill not playtime

These fucking games need some kond of direction or objectives, just so that they don't devolve into a free for all PVP situation the second you log in.

Ark kind of did it right, but having a common objective to achieve as players should be more than just "craft tons of shit together."

That one factory has already given me the most satisfying PVP I've ever had user.

In the final game it is supposed to be like a campaign with side quests too.

You can barely compare them, escape from tarkov is significantly slower paced, with much more focused on close combat.

It's both PVP and PVE. You start with several players on the map with you, later other players can join your game as the AI faction in random locations. So I guess you can sorta compare it to DS that way.

Have they fixed the terrible FoV or does it still look as if you had binoculars embedded to your eyes?

Preordered the 60 dollar version and got into the alpha.

Its a lot more close quarters than other survival shooters and the weapon costumization system is amazing.

There are so many little touches here, like animations for unlocking/opening/breaching doors, weapon jamming, being able to change movement speed with your mousewheel, guns being physical and being mindful of not getting stuck on a wall when rounding corners, finding keys to access specific areas and rooms, dropping mags after reloading and having to pick them up again, are really cool.

Every noise can give you away so you have to be really careful, clearing a building can take really fucking long. You even have to pay attention not to walk over metal or rubble when you want to stay undetected as these are loud as fuck.

So far there are only three raids, but the final game will have ten, a free roam area and two arenas. What we got is enough to keep me busy though, and I keep coming back for the amazing PVP despite already having seen everything.

The game gives me lots of Stalker vibes.
