I expected the Dark Souls to turn him into a completely out of control abyss demon/human thing not just swing his sword around and spew generic energy balls.

Fight is okay but the presentation/variety is seriously lacking.

Well, the boss fights takes place at the very end of the age of fire, but like, the very end of the end, like minutes/hours before it dies, it's the very end of the world, everything is ash. When the fight ends, there's no sun, it's gone, everything is dead.

It's stated by the girl that Gael went to find the dark soul. But it was all dried up, so he started eating every dark souls bearer (so everyone "human" because the furtive pygmy split his soul and gave it to everyone, unlike Gwyn who split his soul between his buddies), so the dark soul can flow through his veins and be used as pigment. He needed all of the dark soul, and since it's split between every human, well, he killed and ate every human, knowing he would become mad in the process.

We "timeskip" thanks to Filianfu's egg and we find him eating the very last pygmies. At this moment, you and him are the last persons on earth. If you got confused by Filianore, her sleep freezes time. When the egg breaks, time catches on, she's dead and the world is in the state it's supposed to be. She was put there by Gwyn to keep the pygmies contained because Gwyn is a fucking sociopathic faggotlord.

It's literally equal to Old Hunters, the best content From has created in the soulsborne series, and the perfect ending for the trilogy. Even diehard DaS3 haters agree on that, even those who think DaS3 is by far the worst soulsborne game agree that Old Hunters and RInged City curbstomp everything else.

Just pirate DS3, ariandel and ringed city, import your legit save on your pirated copy and fuck around with the ringed city (or just make a new character, finishing the game takes 3 hours rushed), and buy it when it's on sales for like 5 bucks.

Because this is something stated by Solaire the first time you encounter him in DaS. Time is convuluted, "heroes centuries old phasing in and out of existence".

Everyone has his own timeline, when you invade someone, he can be 10mn in the past, or 60 years in the future if that makes sense. When she invades you, she's probably in her timeline, a long time ago.

And I did like DaS3, much better than the first two which I never finished. It feels much more fleshed out, like it's an actual AAA game and the combat is better than the previous two in my opinion, I would have liked the combo system from DaS2 though.

I just wish I was better at the PvP, 7/10 I'm going to get my ass handed to me since I just want to run a 40/40 build everytime so that I can use all the melee weapons. Which means I miss out on things like Moonlight blade and Frieda's Scytche.And my one steam friend I talk to doesn't have the game so that sucks for me.


Overall I had fun with it but it feels kind of dry now after playing through rougly 7 times and I'm really not looking forward to doing it all again so that I can get all the +2 rings and boss weapons.

As for the weapons, you know you can respec with Rosaria right? I missed out on a lot of weapons but then respeced and tried out ringed city weapons and things like Friede's scythe or weapons with good weapon arts. If you pirate it, you can cheat to add yourself titanite shards and slabs to upgrade every weapon to +10 to try them out.

Play the DLC, then buy it when it's on sales. I would have bought it for you if I didn't fuck up so bad with money recently, I even cancelled a music festival with my cousin.

Don't get me wrong, the fight is pretty great, but come on, it doesn't even come close to some BB bosses, and gets completely destroyed by a handful of DaS3 bosses. It gets obliterated by Gael.

it's mostly the cutscene. this legendary hunter has become a disfigured disgusting beast, but during his fight with you he regains some of his humanity and starts fighting you like a human. it's pretty cool.

This is super underappreciated. In previous games most if not all boss weapons were complete garbage and just added a "cool aspect", but here they are actually usable and even always have 2 options, with sometimes being spells (which was also present in DaS2 but still)
