I remember a lot of complaints about the roster.
Who is missing?

Only Diddy and Birdo, but people never played Birdo when she was there and are only complaining now that she's gone because she wasn't a baby

I dont think Diddy should be in mario kart but good point about birdo, should replace metal peach or whatever

Pretty much this. I can't say i'm a huge fan of all the koopas and babies, but pretty much every core Mario character is present anyway so anything extra is just superficial preference. Plus we got colored Yoshis and Link, which is definitely a nice surprise.

Double Dash's roster was just unnecessarily bloated in the end, because the only people who still play it end up picking the lightweights anyway due to how overpowered they are.

Should have Kamek and E gadd instead of babies and metals. I do like metal Mario though.

Diddy and Funky are still MIA. A lot of people are probably still made that they need to but the game again to play stiff like Dry Bones and King Boo now.
Also, shit like Baby Daisy and Pink Gold Peach are just wasting spots that could have been used for other characters.

What's wrong with Diddy. At least DKC is a legit spin-off of Mario

Why didn't suits and metals work like shyguy colors for their base characters? (though I guess metals are heavies so that's different)

All the koopa kids, babies, and suits are horse shit.

He has his own racing game and maybe because he specifically was designed by rare he never felt part of the nintendo family as much I guess
