Should i play the ace attorney games?

HOLD IT
The only good ones are Trials and Tribulations and Investigations 2.
No

>1 is bad
Come one, the series has it's flaws but that's unfair. Hell even all the "bad" games have their moments.
>that one case where Nick's theory was so fucking retarded not even you knew what the fuck was going on anymore
Which one was yours?
Join the memes and fun
Play the first trilogy,or even the first game, if you don't want to play any of the other games after that drop it, if not have fun
might've been the last case of 2, it was kinda a blur. still fun tho
>Press the bird
WHAT KIND OF FUCKING JUDGE ALLOWS THIS SHIT?!
Yes
1 is great, ends strong
2 is okay, only real strong case is the last one
3 is great
AJ is pretty good to ok. Apollo is a fun character and Klavier is cool but its not without its flaws
Haven't played the rest
>Yes Yes Yes
Jojo reference?
The pendulum theory of TT last case.
I mean in AA2, during the circus show, it made sense that the use of invisible wires were available to everyone and used, because it was a fucking CIRCUS, HOW WAS THAT NOT OBVIOUS FROM THE START.
...
Muda
T&T>SoJ>1>JFA>AJ>DD
Fight me. SoJ was amazing and I have no fucking idea how they went from the travesty of DD to that. If the intros to case 1 and 5 and the final breakdown were a bit better I would honestly put it above or equal to T&T.
The cape falling right in the statue and getting tangled up there is the bullshit twist in that case.
Yeah i was just thinking that was incredible bullshit that the hat, cape, and roses, attached perfectly to the statue. If anything, it should have just been the cape
wait what the fuck am i talking about, the statue already had a hat, damn its been too long since i played it.
>Finally beat Karma
>feel like a genius
>start Justice for All thinking i am hot shit
>get stuck on the very first cross examination because i didn't realized the "maggie"
Its not fucking fair
Yes.
T&T > AAI 2 > PW:AA > SoJ > AJ:AA > Layton > AAI > JFA > DD
Court is pretty fun, investigating not so much.
>Get to that part shortly after playing AA
>Notice it's wrong straight away
>Can't think what shows it, present a bunch of evidence
>Realise you can present profiles shortly after
Don't worry about it. Everyone has those moments. I got so angry at the first puzzle of 999 I had to violently masturbate just to calm down.
>literally fucking prove client didn't do it and it was someone else's fault
>fucking evidence everywhere including witnesses admitting it
>not allowed to investigate further
>need to prove right away who did it or client is declared guilty
Thank god the murderer conveniently shows up during investigation segments so we can present him/her
I mean he has to declare someone guilty
>hear people shitting on Turnabout Circus
>end up loving it
>hear people shitting on Recipe for Turnabout
>really picks up during the second half and ends up being one of favorite cases
Is it because people hate the annoying characters? So far only the director from Turnabout Samurai was an annoyance for me, mostly because of the localization fuckery
No one from Nick, but I just couldn't guess how the fuck the statues moved in AAI1-5
Honestly I found the pendulum in TT obvious in comparison - as soon I noticed the broken wire hanging there on the bridge
How did the localization fuck up the director?
dude talked in 13375P34K. Out loud. With lolzrs and everything.
Y34H D00D, 1 H4V3 N0 1D34 WH4T TH3Y'R3 T4LK1NG 4B0UT ROFL
Oh shit, i forgot about that.
Did you not find the clown annoying? He was as bad as oldbag for me
It's the one constant weird hang-up the series has even now, not sure if there's a way to avoid it really. You typically clear your defendant of all doubt well before the end of the case, you've gotta stick around to the end though because you won't be able to solve the full mystery otherwise. The game over state is your defendant being found guilty so it sticks even at case endgames.
>Turnabout Circus
Worst thing about it for me was the music in the circus, shit got grating after a while.
>Recipe for Turnabout
The chef's bullshit about the "mirror" was complete crap. Otherwise it was a solid comedic case I thought.
Investigation segments are where all the best banter is though.
I liked the first one but the second and third started getting too silly and unrealistic. Should I try AAI 1 and 2?
Nope, he was one of my favorite characters, the subplot about him dealing with the fact that his comedy style is out of date and needing to act more like an adult after the ringmaster's death, i felt bad about him not being able to make anyone laugh
Oldbag is just a cunt, she and Larry can die in a pit
>The chef's bullshit about the "mirror" was complete crap
Fucking hell that mirror, the whole left and right thing confused me so much
I'd argue DD is better than AJ but otherwise decent list. AJ does some shit I can't stand.
>story doesn't move foward because you forgot to present that one piece of evidence to that one NPC
>you just need to guess when you are done because something usually happens (emphasis on the "usually)
>needing to backtrack all the fucking time because the game doesn't just give you a location list or something
At least those are the moments when Maya proves to be best girl
Honestly I found Moe 100x less annoying than Ben and Trilo. Not being able to press Testimony is bullshit, but not being able to press Testimony without seeing a 15 second cutscene of CLOAK! HAT! FLOWER! was fucking infuriating.
>story doesn't move foward because you forgot to present that one piece of evidence to that one NPC
The only time I ever really found this to be a problem is in 1-5. Even when I replay it I get stuck here because I forget a necessary step
It's somewhere in between the time you get the steak from Angel Starr and when you can actually get Marshall to show up at his work station.
the real problem is that the game is too vague with what is and isn't allowed to be presented, common sense would tell you to present what you would expect the NPC to know because its related to him/her but this is not always the case, i got stuck on Stolen Turnabout because i forgot to check out one item with Larry that would unlock the final dialogue option
To be honest after Mia ex machina shenanigans the vagueness with evidence is the worst fucking thing about the games
I do wonder whether the vagueness with the evidence is due to the translation/localisation. Like maybe there are some associations that japs would make much quicker than westerners because of their culture or something.
> its a you gotta give up to trigger mia ghost episode
