I feel like a conductor of a anime in the combat system so it's one of my favorites

No overworld map.
No job classes.
No memorable locations.
No memorable bosses.
Barely passable music.
Hope.

It's not the worst, I'll give you that. But if you think it's the best you're trying really hard to defend the few good points it has.

Because no game in the series has surpassed Final Fantasy V yet.

Most games in the series are just better. II, VIII, X and XV are the only ones I'd certainly put it above.

Auto-battle

Barthandalus was the only one that came to my mind too, but even then I just kind of wanted the game over with at that point.

I can't even bring myself to finish XV. It has no soul. I just replayed II and found myself having far more fun.

I liked it (got the Plat) but it had some things
-no airship, in a FF game
-end game was a colossal horror show. You run OUT of stuff to do, then still have to mindlessly farm items for the sake of completion. I give it 1/10, the rest of the game 8/10
-Hope and his bizarre mother-crush thing. It felt like watching star wars EP1

Hope had some of the best character development i've seen in a final fantasy title.

I did. I actually pre-ordered the japanese version because I was that much of a fucking weeaboo. Beat it in japanese not knowing what the fuck they were saying, then bought the english version months later to see if I somehow missed something with the story. I didn't, it blew.

13 is easily the most fun I had playing a final fantasy game. I'm not even gonna pretend that I didn't quit 7 after making it 3/4 into the game

I actually did. I mean, granted I didn't use Auto-Battle 100% of the time, but I used it primarily and still cleared the game. You cannot do that in other games, least of which being 4 and 9 because you will get your fucking ass beat.

Final Fantasy VIII is my least favorite in the series next to 13 and its abomination-sequels but its still LEAGUES ahead of XIII and captures the soul of what makes FF "FF" even if its a broken game.

You are stupid. Pre X final fantasy was a different era, different generation. X was a new generation and step in a right direction. Then with X-2, XII, XIII, XV they fucked it up, not bad games but not Final Fantasy either.

What ruined FF was letting Tetsuya Nomura do anything other than design characters, locations, and monsters. The guy got a lot of control and Sakaguchi was on his way out of the company.

Final Fantasy really should've gone past 10 entries and it definitely shouldn't have had two numbered MMO sequels. Can anyone honestly explain to me why two MMO's stand right next to other numbered entries? It's all bullshit. Just enjoy the old games because FF died a long time ago.

It became more story based which wouldn't be a problem if the retards making these games knew how to write stories and likable characters. 7 was the prime example of catching lightning in a bottle and they've been trying to catch that lightning ever since and failing miserably at it.

Gonna kill Snow Hope was at least beliveable. Kid had only 14 years and seen death of his mother. Directing his anger at Snow wasn't the most mature thing to do, but it was kind of realistic. It easier to blame some person than war or misfortune.
