You can choose only one developer. The only games you can ever play for the rest of your life will be from this developer. Which do you choose? Keep in mind that future games made from this developer will also count. So which developer do you trust to create the most enjoyable games for the rest of your life?
The obvious answer is Rock* (for quality anyway). People are still playing GTA V four years after release. But arguments can be made for other developers such as EA, which probably has the biggest variety of games to play (shooters, racing, sports, etc.). Sup Forumsedditor's on this board will choose FROM SOFTWARE, as if they will never get tired of Souls combat/gameplay.
So do you choose a single developer such as Bethesda for their niche RPG games with the risk of them getting old eventually or do you choose a developer like Ubisoft that has variety of different games but they always lack in quality.
