Now that the dust has settled, is it worth getting Win10?
I've been alright on Win7 but I'm noticing more titles require Win10 to work, especially VR stuff. However I've heard some games run worse on it too.
And yeah, I know all that stuff about stopping win10 sharing stuff with Microsoft. Still wonder how I'd get the upgrade without paying hundreds of pounds though.

No, stay on 7. 8 and 10 are a downgrade. Also the whole VR thing is just jews memeing to you. It's been tried many times before and always flops. Just get 3 big monitors or one giant TV instead.

It's not exclusive crap like 'Minecraft: Win10 edition' though. More things like VR monitors and Cinemas. Win10 apparently has a different way of rendering the screen that makes it work on those programs. Win8.1 too in some cases.
That said, nothing worth paying £220 for.

It was the same when the Geforce 2 had a VR headset as it is now. Look how quickly 3D monitors/TVs died out.
3 monitors is the way to go. If you're not using the 2 side screens for extra immulshions you can surf the web while watching something while gaming. Only downside is there isn't nearly enough 5760x1080 wallpapers

Silly argument because all technology works like that. Each attempt gets a little better until it's good enough to kick off.
The weight's okay, the controllers last ages and I haven't had nearly as much heat as the DK2. The single cable is long enough and Vive are already looking into wireless connections. Stuff like price and requirements fade with time.
Monitors win out on resolution but after 360 3D vision, even a spread like seems pitifully small in comparison.
I used 7 since release and have been on 10 a few months after it went free. I would get LTSB version. That's what I plan on using next computer I build.
Windows 10 is pretty nice. I've enjoyed it on both my desktop and on my tablet since the release. There hasn't been many hiccups.
As for the spying shit, if you know your way around the settings (which isn't that hard) you can turn it off or completely disable it through the registry. It's more secure than the other Windows, anyhow

As someone who is using W10 for games and for work I gotta say that while it looks good and has some good things it's absolute cancer of the highest caliber. And not just the spying shit. It's one of those things where it tries to be so convenient and user friendly that it actually goes to far and becomes the opposite. Condescending would be a good way to describe it.
I honestly don't know if games or certain resolutions or whatever need W10 because I don't play games on my pc anymore. But regarding any other aspect, W10 is a total piece of crap.
There's a bunch of non removable app shits that'll forever stay in your home bar thing, and some apps reinstall themselves with new updates. Updates in general sometimes just happen, I've come home to my pc running and updating like five times even though I definitely turned it off each time. Even standard Windows features are somehow much worse than before, like the photo viewer. Used to be that I could open whatever porn folder I had, click on slide show, set it to random and to change images slowly, press the space bar to pause and resume the slide show and arrow keys to flip through the pics quickly and fap with ease. Why the fuck does NONE of that still work? And also, fuck the fact that everything nkwadays is designed with tablets and phones in mind. I just don't want my god damn hardwired pc which doesn't even have wifi or bluetooth to constantly display a button to active FUCKING AIRPLANE MODE NOOO
