The original PS2 always had these blue things in the advertisements to help it stand up on it's side, but I never saw them in real life. Were they included with the PS2 and I just never noticed them because I was 7 or were they like all the different Wii colors and only used in promotional stuff?

never even thought about that, but I never saw 'em either. The console stood up vertically just fine on its own tho'.
It was a real product. Not sure if it was included with the console or not.
Wasn't it retards standing the 360 on it's side and then knocking it over that caused their discs to get these perfectly circular scratches? Just lay your console flat and don't touch it while its running.
never seen the stand in person either and i never used my ps2 on its side because everybody said it would scratch the disks
nah. Xboxes ruined discs all on their own.
>not using the horizontal stand
Xboxes ruined themselves on their own.
most people reading this won't get the joke
Yep they're all real
The funny part is neither of the stands are necessary
I have a black one that has slots for game cases. It's a neat way to display your games if you only have 10. Never seen a blue one that I can remember.
>most people reading this won't get the joke
I'm pretty sure everybody knows about the red ring of death.
Then again, I started browsing this website when I was 14, which was 5 years ago...

Me too. Well, I was 15. And that was 12 years ago.
Idk but I have one for some reason, used it for a long time too. Now my ps2 just sits flat.
>people on this website keep telling me my launch ps3 will die tommorow
>still kicking with a new HDD
>am on my 3rd 360(first a slim then an elite now a launch one I bought for 20 bucks)
They were probably included with the consoles but everyone thought they were packing and threw them away.
my negro.
I too still got my Fat PS3 I got back in 2007, and it runs flawlessly. All original parts too. It'll be a sad day if it kicks the bucket, eventhough I do have a 120gb Slim in the house too.
>getting an Xbox
>ever
asking for it.
>tfw I bought one from FUCKING GAMESTOP and it ylod'd the day after
Kind of surprised I've never actually seen one either. I can see the point of the vertical stand but what purpose does this actually exist for
My ps2 would only load ps1 games if it was stood vertically
Ventilation I guess
Something like overheat prevention, don't think ps2 ever suffered from it tho.
you can do it without the stand
I'm aware, but as a kid at the time, we didn't want to knock it over since it sat on the floor in front of the tv in my brother's room.
This hit a little too close to home
