You HAVE beaten this game without using save states, slowdown, or cheat codes, right Sup Forums?
You HAVE beaten this game without using save states, slowdown, or cheat codes, right Sup Forums?
i'll do it right now for you
Beat the superior version from All-Stars ;)
This
I beat it without a guide but warped my way to the end
I didnt realize it was going to make it so short I just warped like 3-4 times adn that was that
Yeah. We didn't have computers, internet nor emulators in late 80s / early 90s.
Yeah, when I was 9 I did it all in one go, no warping. Still surprised how well the game holds up, it's pretty solid.
No but I played the gbc version with the stupidly difficult challenge mode until I had the levels memorized.
I died
I never beat it on my own, but just a month ago I went back to play it and I was doing awful. I couldn't even get to world 2 on one continue. The fucking "realistic" momentum was too hard to handle, where you can barely adjust your momentum in midair. I kept over/undershooting shit, and would have to slow down constantly or die
Nah. I haven't played it because I don't have a controller with a d-pad good enough.
Yes, on my childhood, more than a decade ago, back on the g'old days, those things didn't existed
No because I don't particularly care for Mario games and have no interest to play this one either.
Yea when I was a kid, dad and I smashed it in a day. Thanks for the walk down memory lane OP
I warped.
Does anyone have that one article about this screen?
>You HAVE beaten this game without using save states, slowdown, or cheat codes, right Sup Forums?
Yeah 22 years ago in 1995 in Super Mario All Stars.
>games have become so casual that even the original SMB is too hard
fucking wew
Only super mario bros deluxe edition on the GBC, many times.
I beat it with low score
>superior
>collision glitch
GOOD ONE
Crazy interested now
No but I managed to brute force my way through Ninja Gaiden on a physical system
There's a checkpoint system though (Unless you knew the title screen trick that let you retry on NES)
I'm surprised how much of a little bitch SMB2 is though without the safety net of merely starting a world when you fail. Lives are surprisingly rare.
Beat 3 a trillion times on the NES though, the only thing Allstars added was the ability to continue after turning the game off. You still had to redo the entire world again if you goofed.
>(Unless you knew the title screen trick that let you retry on NES)
Yeah. I forget how to do it exactly, but I think you held select and then pressed B to start on a different world _-1 on the top right.
There are seriously people on this website who haven't beat SMB1? Could you get anymore casual?
There are a handful of people who haven't even beaten IWBTG here. Yeah.
I forgot he gets hammers. I'm just going to warp to world 8 now
It's not that hard. Just stick close to him underneath the hammers' arc, and run to the axe as soon as you have an opening. Just remember he always breathes fire on the 3rd jump.
I beat Deluxe
depressing.
i think the website should have accounts and people should need to be able to clear Ikaruga on one credit (on easy, just to be fair) before they're allowed to post.
>Ikaruga on one credit (on easy, just to be fair)
are you fucking kidding m--
Oh, you mean on two-ship mode.
No, you should have to beat Legend of Zelda without the sword and no save states, in one go. No guides either.
Of course, did it when I was a child, and did it a few years ago as well.
>>>>>He didnt play the absolute best version of SMB1
>>>>>>>He didnt unlock the Black Boo races
Having to play the same levels over and over is more annoying than difficult
Btw which Mario started making fire flowers give another hit-point?
Pretty sure they started doing that with either the Deluxe release or the Advance series
US version of SMB3
First beat it when I was 6 or 7
The better question would've been if we finished this game without using the secret pipes.
I did maybe like 8 times, but all i recall from every playthrough i make of it is just me using the pipes to skip most of the worlds and the content and just get to the ending asap.
I must've played this level like 20 times thanks to this free 1-up. Not anymore, sucker.
I don't think I'm cut out to be a Hard-Core Gamer. I don't own any Skyrim strategy guides and I haven't ever subscribed to World of Warcraft. I think I'm only allowed to play casual games like Tetris and now.
The original game, yes. Mods and Lost Levels still kick my Neo-Nintenbro ass.
>Lost Levels
I know your pain. I still can't beat LL
Yes, I actually have a harder time beating SMB than SMB2 (both Japan and USA).
Of course. Mario isn't a hard game.
>lost levels
>hard
If you don't warp, use the near infinite life exploit.
I've beaten the game, sucked but I beat it.
>Does anyone have that one article about this screen?
Wat?
Does it count as beating Lost Levels on NES if I got to World 9 but didn't unlock World A-D? I've played A-D on All-Stars but I've never taken the time to beat NES Lost Levels eight times.
It's a pretty challenging game, but for the wrong reasons imo: A good chunk of it boils down to leaps of faith, having invisible blocks placed in haphazard areas, etc. Not a fan, to be honest.
I'd say that counts. People don't say that you haven't beaten LoZ unless you've beaten the second quest.
Of course, I even beat The Lost Levels on my NES via reproduction cart.
Nope, too hard for me to do legit.
>only found out the continue option in the past year or so
kill me desu
Input lag boogy man?
go away mike matei
>small asian boy resets famicom upon hearing you used warps
Is this supposed to be some kind of challenge?
Well yeah, like 17~18 years ago or so, I don't fucking remember.
I forgot if I've actually beaten the game or not. I know for a fact I've made it to 8-4 so I'll just assume I have.
I think I just threw up a little bit.
I'm sure anyone here could beat SMB1 in a few tries, you don't even need to play videogames. It's pretty simple.
I never finished the game because I always found it dull and un-fun. Not being able to go back left bothered me. Beside pulling radishes and getting a raccoon tail, I have no memory of further iterations of Mario because I never played any beyond those.
that was our mario
name's Giana and he is she actually
t.formerWarsowPact spawn
The original Giana Sisters was great on amiga
Actually yes but not without the warps
I did it on my last life in a party with people watching, it was great
I have, it takes less than an hour. It was legit one of the easiest NES games ever.
The only thing good are the upgraded pallettes and resolution.
Sound, music, physics are all worse.
>blue skies
Yes, I'm not a mongoloid.
bitch, i beat the lost levels, that shit aint shit
>be me
>want to play SMB
>fire up the rom
>music is higher pitched and sped up
FFS...
No, I never owned a NES. I did beat Super Mario Land though when I was 12.
IWBTG isnt even fun or hard
Its just muscle memory
Stop using nesticle beta
yeah nah, pic related
wrong board bro
Yes when I was a kid. It can be beaten in 5 minutes. Is this supposed to be some sort of achievement?
Don't tell me you never had your gaming license certified?
MODS
I've never had a gaming license! Am I going to jail?
nigger posting is the same as nigger sympathizing. fuck off and choke on that black chode you and your mom like so you fucking troglodyte
Is the bottom game, Faxanadu ?
Sony CXA2025AS is spot-on.
No, Castlevania.
