never ever you hack
Of course Kojima, but why do you keep trying to make movies?
isn't it interesting how, now that kojima is gone, konami are being far less jewish with Bomberman R getting free DLC?
Are you implying that without a game going over its already massive budget that Konami doesn't need to use jewish methods?
most games arent art, but KOJIMA's games are art
*Interactive art
Careful not to trigger the moronic artfags that we're treading in their territory
>tfw know all of Kojimbos old games are literal hackjobs copy paste from classic Western films
>still love Phantom Pain because it feels original
>one day recently watching AMC and Rambo III is on
>literally watch Rambo on horseback next to his buddy staring at the Afghanistan landscape
>sneaking mission in 1980s Soviet occupied Afghanistan
Kojima you really are a fucking hack westaboo.
exactly, people were quick to shit on konami, but they absolutely did the right thing as kojima was wasting their money away - and for what? A really poor MGS game in a series that's already more movie than game. I really hope that Death Stranding flops as I'm already sick of seeing it's cinematic no-gameplay-allowed trailers hyped up for no reason.
Oh yeah forgot another green text
>FIRST FUCKING MISSION IS TO RESCUE FRIEND WHO IS CAPTURED BY SOVIETS
Fuck you Kojima.
If by games you mean interactive movies, then you're 100% correct.
Well, we know where he got the inspiration for Colonel Campbell.
Yes they are. Too bad Kojima makes neither video games, or art.
Almost every game he has made has been based off a film.
The only exception might be Snatcher, but I doubt it.
Try again.
all games are interactive movies. some have more interactivity than others
Yes make officialy games art. And then suddenly you'll be paying 180$ for one game on 50% steam sales day
Cunt
My bad, should have realized that one.
Policenaughts is even worse, it's basically Die Hard in Space.
wat? no wai
>might be Snatcher, but I doubt it.
nope.
came here to post this.
Yes everything in media is 100% original and not just a collection of the creators interests
Funny because Kojima himself said videogames will never be art.

>Cutscenes are art
fixed
Kojima doesn't think so, actually.

yeah i came here to post this too
i do find it interesting that the biggest westaboo/hollywood-lover in the industry doesn't think his industry is art, while every shithead dev in the west wants to be "just like muh visceral hollywood experiences"
he's totally right as well. which isn't a surprise, considering how much of a master dev he is compared to his counterparts. he gets the craft, he understands that every player will have a slightly different experience, so he focuses and spends a lot of detail on story-telling, polish, "cinematography," etc to try and have the same powerful impact for all players
once you create a painting, or a film or a book, it's out there, but everybody intakes it the same way. with a video game, you give it to 100 people and half of them might jump on the goomba in 1-1, but another 40 could simply jump over it or die. it completely changes the experience and creates infinitely different impressions, as opposed to traditional media
ironically kojima has created the strongest lasting impressions by pushing the strengths of the medium (reading memory card, controller port 2, etc), and realizing the limitations then trying to copy+paste michael bay like COD tries to do every year.
absolutely based of a dev
you're so fucking pretentious that this post gave me cancer just by reading it.
> talking about art
> somebody offers art critique
> muh pretentious
stay pleb taste and here's your >(You)
Of course they are Kojimbo, very few of them are good art though. You stopped making that a very long time ago.
ah yes, I can't forget the high art that is plugging the controller in the 2nd port. So deep, so captivating!
Wow. I love Kojima, but I disagree with him. What he is arguing here is that the artistic merit of videogames is low. Which I would counter with asking how we even measure that.
In his statement about how too many people work on videogames for it to be art is dumb, when put in perspective of painters who usually don't make their own paint, canvas, tools, and to some extent their ideas are formed by the collaboration of everything in reality.
Also the point about how everyone playing games differently is no different than how people interpret pieces of art based on their past experiences.
Lethal weapon in space
Some are.
Silly analogy.
Tools, canvas, paint are todays Intel hardware and MS/Autodesk software. They just provide the tools to developers.
Saying video games aren't art is like saying erotica isn't pornography.
what even is art
the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination
My point still stands, which is there is no such thing as art soley created by the author. This is also why we have the term auteur, and we start to delve in the problem of measuring artistic merit.
Tools are tools, including staff and other resources. Film is considered art even though it had many people collaborating on them. The point I was trying to make is that the number of people or things directly involved with the creation something does not determine if it is art or not.
expression of feeling through a medium or something, according some artists.
I agree
...
Art is entertainment. Any art that isn't entertaining is not art it's shit.
But where's his pipe?
c'est ne pas une pipe
...
>yfw its another garbage 'artsy' trailer that tells you nothing about the game and literally wastes your time
