>AMD build
>it's shit

Why does this keep happening?

Delid this

>ryzen
>good

Ryzen is great I don't know if you've been under a rock or what

...

Must
Shill
AMD

>shitty support and insanely late drivers is worth a 40 dollar savings
AMD hasn't been a good option in over a decade

That doesn't matter to your average AMDfag, they can always find a scapegoat to blame.

lmao @ corelets t b h

AMD drivers are better than Nvidia

Nvidia gimps their own cards

>AMD
>Good drivers

Pick one please

I'll pick both

It's not that cheap in Canada

Remember Bulldozer?
>m-muh cores!

So yeah with AMD you seemingly get more for your money. That includes more heat which means less stability.

Also you never posted the clock speeds of either CPU.
I'd rather have the 1060 any day even with less memory. Better performance etc.

Kaby Lake has higher TDP than Ryzen LOL

>AMD drivers are better than Nvidia
Have you been frozen in a block of ice for the last 15 years

t-that's right

AMD h-h-has drivers too

Can't forget that stable 5ghz overclock on that 7600k right?

I'd probably get a Ryzen but I think you need Windows 10.

>destroys

Man those 1-2 frames are sure an ass woopin!

Yeah, but AMD lies about TDP as a matter of course.
You can't take anything they say seriously. They also claimed the 480 is a 150W card, a blatant lie.

The 7700k can't even score above 1000 in cinebench lol

Meanwhile the 1600 scores almost double

does AMD have decent drivers yet?
I tried their stuff years ago and it was pretty shit then not long ago I was playing with a friend who had an AMD card and constantly had performance issues even though he had a newer and better card than my NVIDIA card.

I dont doubt the build quality of the card or cpu's but their drivers seem lacking.

after all these years, how well does this comic still hold up?

The shills are out tonight

...

Then why haven't they FIXED THE FUCKING CORRUPTING CURSOR GLITCH REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Is Intel as scummy as Nvidia? I need to look this up before my next upgrade, I care about performance but I'd rather sacrifice some than support shitty companies

>not supirion intel core AMD graphics card
Is like you want to be shit

>I remember the 400 and 500 series too.

Oh my god, look at all that power. For only more money than Intel you can underperform in the real world.

No reason to buy Ryzen now that Intel's hexacores are coming.

>Kaby Lake quadcores shit on Ryzen's flagship
>Coffee Lake and Basin Falls are Kaby Lake plus two more corez

RIP RYZEN

Pretty sure AMD GPU's run hotter than Nvidia's but their new Ryzen CPU's run cooler than Intel's.

This basically.

No, at least haven't heard them advertising a 4 core cpu with actually 3.5 cores.

People care about saving $40 on something they'll use every day and you shouldn't be updating more than once every 2 years? $1.70 a month isn't worth a superior product??

It's basically the same except the AMD car catches fire instead

...

The hexcore thing is a rumor btw
You aren't getting a 6 core from Intel without paying 1000 dollars

For now, and maybe even the next two years, few games will be optimized better for that many threads. People have been saying shit like this for awhile now and it still hasn't happened.

I'm not a shill I'm just not comfortable with taking a chance on AMD again unless their drivers are better than they used to be, also you didn't even answer my question you dickhead.

>intel doesn't have cpus in every category outperforming shitzen

who comes with this trash memes up ? Have atleast minimal self respect.

...

Is that true?

Holy shit, the memes were real, it is impossible to even mention computer hardware on Sup Forums

On Sup Forums there's the typical shitposting and shilling. But Sup Forums doesn't even mention the components and just shit at eachother.

Nice

A lot of people still joke about LOL NO DRIVERS but in actuality it's evened up, it's not amazing but in comparison AMD hasn't had any of the disasters Nvidia has had with their drivers.

It all depends on what you want, Nvidia still has the best high end cards, their prices will forever by too high for my tastes, until Vega anyway altho I'm guessing if you're willing to spend 500+ on a GPU the extra 50-100 probably doesn't matter to you.

For budget/mid-end builds it'll depend on whether you play a lot of DX12/Vulkan games, in which case AMD 480/580 generally performs better in the same price range, otherwise go with the GTX1060.

>1700X
The chart you're responding to is using a 1600. Over 100 pounds cheaper than the 7700k.
Not to mention that the 1700X has 8cores/16threads, which absolutely ravages the 7700k in anything that isn't games. Not that you'd do anything productive with your PC anyway, so just be the goodest of goys and stick with Intel.

You're pretty out there if you think people upgrade their computer every 2 years.

Especially here of all places.

That's some weapon grade AMD FUD my man.

Don't forget: Ryzen needs expensive out the ass RAM

Fuck off kike. People aren't going to pay $1000 for your 8c/16t CPU's anymore when Ryzen matches its performance for around $330. Gas yourself.

Prove that mainstream i7 basin falls will have 6 cores.

Prove it from an official Intel source and not a rumor.

?
I update my CPU about every 4 and GPU every 2. 1080 ti FTW3 preorder now.

Do other people upgrade more or less?

>A lot of people still joke about LOL NO DRIVERS but in actuality it's evened up
The meme has changed slightly to LOL NO SUPPORT but the thrust is the same: AMD can't get any support from publishers/devs on making their drivers so their drivers come later and don't work as well as Nvidia drivers

>muh DX12
Nigger I ain't on a tablet

Not for gaming

Sup Forums will argue over anything

>I can't afford it so it's shit

literally every single AMD nigger ever

Okay, so you save a bit of money for 20% worse performance? Good job?

like clockwork

good riddance in this thread

>tfw you're still using a 7 year old i7 930

It's great for gaming though

It's essentially two 4790ks stuck together

Nvidia is pretty jewish in their pricing schemes, but it at least works.

Well technically... you can use older windows with it.... but it's a waste since older windows don't support Direct X 12.

Ryzen works on W7, but through unsupported (as in, not AMD-certified) methods. It might work perfectly, but you shouldn't expect it to, since it's not supported officially.
Windows 10 is the only officially supported Windows product.

Which one

The ryzen 7 series

There's quite a difference in both price and performance between 1700 and 1800x
Which one.

thank you for the info, the last card I had before my GTX1070 was a GTX650ti boost edition which struggled with dark souls 3 on medium, I justified the expenditure because I hadn't bought a gpu in several years and I couldnt even run doom 4 unless I took everything to the lowest which just made me feel sad.

I might look into AMD for my next major pc build if they have hit parity with NVIDIA, I dont usually have a big budget for these things so it'll be nice to not struggle with pricing.

you need windows 10 creators update to make use of ryzen
anyone else says otherwise has no idea what he's talking about

1700 is better because it's cheaper and you can overclock it to 1800x's level.

Difference in performance is down to the CPU lottery. There are 1700 chips out there that overclock better than 1800X.

>Tfw you're using a 9 year old Phenom II.

/thread

Either 1700 or 1700x depending on deals

Microcenter has good deals on the 1700x

Wrong. youtube.com/watch?v=XOsYOASddeo

Once you factor in a more expensive motherboard for the Intel CPU it's an even worse deal for Intel. And it won't even run that great .. only 4 cores means stuttering, hitting 100% CPU usage, etc. Doesn't matter how powerful those 4 cores are if they're already maxed out.

A lot of processors coming out will force you to use win 10. A lot of issues for my company since we use mainly win7 and 10 doesn't work with everything yet.

Kinda annoying they don't give a fuck

>GTX 1060
enjoy running 0 games at 60fps
not even an amd fag but this picture is retarded

Have you? Things have changed. Might want to keep up there, buddy. AMD's drivers have been good for awhile now. Meanwhile NVidia's are getting buggier.

4c and the high IPC and clock of Intel is still the sweet spot for gaming. 8c is currently the area of dimishing returns. Could be this will change, but we're not there yet.

>I'd rather have the 1060 any day even with less memory. Better performance etc.
The 580 shits all over the 1060 3 GB in most games.

Now it's the other way around ironically

Intel's mainstream 6 cores will be overpriced, underpowered housefires. wccftech.com/intel-coffee-lake-desktop-6-core-4-core-cpu-leaked/

>AMD's drivers have been good for awhile now. Meanwhile NVidia's are getting buggier.

It's actually been like this for many many years now. nvidia fanboys refuse to admit it. They rather double down on the no drivers meme.

it. a guy who knows nothing about what he's doing

>wccftech

No reason to upgrade any CPU as long as Sony does not announce PS5. No games will be build for these new CPU.

DELET THIS

fucking STOP

>no games will even use that many cores

you guys still dont realize consoles are the true enemy

>Being a Pajeet
It's time to go back to Intel: Bangalore

Does Intel have plans to stop supporting Win 7 as well?

>low-spec performancelets
>true enemy

They already did.

Kaby Lake (7000 series) already has no W7 support

Ah, I didn't know.

FHFXW-PERJV-HTVDJ

lol those random ass meaningless percentages
>101% DESKTOP PERFORMANCE!!!!!
