You can't tl;dr the series story, there'd be too much you're missing.

It's actually a pretty solid game single player, there's a few cool modes and a lot of story, BUT I would not recommend playing for the story in Central Fiction if it's your first BlazBlue.

If you want to get into BlazBlue as single player games, play each major release on Steam in order. Each has around 20 hours of story delivered through visual novel format, and some unique single player modes too.

It's the last of the story so there's a lot of story to keep you occupied. Story can be hella confusing kingdom hearts tier to some people, though. But it's not THAT difficult to understand.

Different kind of flow. It can be. Just pirate CPE or CF when it comes out and see if you like the flow of combat. My friend vehemently refused to touch BB because it was too "combo-intensive" and he harped on how "characters are bullshit", "None of them look fun to play" and so on. So I told him to eat shit and gifted him CPE and he found more than 4 characters he loves playing.

Continuum Shift Extend
Chrono Phantasma Extend
Central Fiction

All of these are on Steam.

Why would you expect crossplay, it's pretty rare in video games in general. Would be nice if it was that easy to do.

At least they learned from Steam Revelator and included all the DLC and apparently made it cheaper than the console version.

How's the playerbase? Revelator doesn't have that many people, and I don't mind all that much,I have 3-4 buddies to play with, but a decent PC scene would be nice before I learn a new game.

Probably not, Mori said there won't be one and I assumed he was lying but looking at the Steam releases of CS and CP, they only ported the Extend versions. This time it's just CF with all the DLC included which makes me think this really will be the last BB release for a while.


I guess they're going to announce DLC at Evo though.

Almost 400 people are playing CPE right now, though I don't doubt some just picked it up because it's like $9 and they wanted to try out a character before CF releases. It'll probably start out higher than that and steadily even out over time.

They've said the only things they would do are balance patches and DLC, no new versions. But you can wait for whatever Arcsys has to announce at EVO anyway if you want. I would but that's because I already own the game on PS3
