>5 of the top 10 highest earning fighting game players are Smash players.
Why don't the people who call Smash games casual and baby tier try to take a piece of this cake? Easy money innit.
5 of the top 10 highest earning fighting game players are Smash players
Other urls found in this thread:
>highest earning fighting game players
top kek, no where near top esports numbers
No shit sherlock, but we're not talking about fucking Dota2.
I still dont understand why the fuck does nintendo hate melee so goddamm much
they would literally be swimming in money if they made a new smash with actual gameplay
we are now
miracle is fucking shit, artour is shit, dendi is shit, midone is okay
I'd rather live in poverty than having to deal with FGC autismos in person
>Du Cong Dang
AHahahah what kind of a name is that?
>people get paid $200,000 to play kiddie party games
what the fuck where do I sign up
>black furry makes 2x more than Daigo
really makes you think
>they would literally be swimming in money if they made a new smash with actual gameplay
They don't know how to. Melee is, as Bob Ross would say, a "happy little accident."
It's kind of like how Super Mario 64 worked out for speedrunners. Lightning in a bottle.
Just go to any tournament and enter. You won't make it out of pools, though.
>the top highest earning fighting pros are WWE wresetlers
>Why don't people who call WWE casual baby tier try to take a piece of this cake? Easy money innit.
$200,000 over 15 years
minus travel expenses
if I autistically dedicate 8 hours a day like the top players do I sure as hell could lol
Little bit of a difference there, friendo.
smash is a party game for babies
no amount of money will change this
Melee is fucking hard, it's ridiculous. Top players usually have spend over 10 years playing to get to the level they're at. Smash 4 on the other hand is babby-tier and anyone with 1 year experience and half a brain could make it to the top.
>both require lots of acting and overhyping to be entertaining
>both are watched by people who don't take it seriously or are idiots
not much of a difference really
sonic fox is a joke and perfect legend was right
>hurr omg fighting game prodigy look at him rape at all these games that literally nobody plays
>gets raped at sf5 and fucks off after making it nowhere despite that game being the easiest sf game ever made
>melee
>hard
it's a party game just like every game in the series
>he doesn't know
Out of pools maybe but don't think about making a cent out of playing. For smash melee that shit is impossible, the top 6 has been playing this for over a decade.
It started as a hobby because they loved the game but now is full time free money for them.
how many times does this exact argument have to be played out
as many times as melee fags pretend their casual game for babies is a real fighting game.
ok have fun deflecting all the same proof people are going to post again
I'm sure that's really fun for your autistic brain to repeat the same conversation for the 17th time
How the fuck do they earn +200k a year playing a 15 years old game ? This can't be only price pools.
That said, they should played poker instead, i can't imagine they would be bad at it with this much dedication.
>gay black furry is the top of the list
The FGC will defend this.
Their top 5 earners because they consistantly win and get people watching. The smash top 10 hasnt changed in like 8 years.
Im not saying its easy, im just saying its not suprising. Its like saying your suprised that Daigo is up there
Why aren't we? If we're going to act retarded and say that Smash skill translates to fighting games or vice versa, we might as well go full retard and say that Melee skill translates to DOTA, and ask why are there no Melee players dominating at DOTA since it's a low skill game?
every top smash player is going to blow their fortune on surgery for their fucking destroyed wrists
>+200k a year
that's total, user
>tfw nobody can live up to artour streams
I stopped playing months ago, those are all I keep up with the game for
>13-0
Smash isn't a fighting game
not an argument
How isn't it? Looks like they're fighting to me.
Daigo unlike the rest of the 'pro' players actually has a career ahead of him since he's not a moron
>perfect legend
you mean perfect 13gend

ITT: people who have never played competitive melee say that competitive melee is easy
So, every melee thread ever posted on Sup Forums
How is counter strike not a strategy game, seems to me they're employing strategic maneuvers
I guess CoD is a platformer now because there is a jump button.
>SonicFox
>Mew2King
I'd fight them irl desu senpai
Sorry, you're going to have to be more clear about how it's not a fighting game.
It's just bait, ofcourse fans of a franchise will jump to defend it, meleefags are just easily baited so you'll see the same non-argumentative drivel posted in these threads over and over. The next time you see someone post 'MELEE IS A CASUAL PARTY GAME!!' just don't reply.
COD and Counterstrike are shooters, because the core gameplay is built around shooting. Just like how Smash is a fighter, because the core gameplay is built around fighting.
How does anyone find this complicated?
More like
>50% of the top 10 earning pro fighting game players are American
How can South Koreans even compete lmao btfo
Imagine being this slow.
So... your argument is that that's what it says on the wikipedia article? Written by the ultimate authority on what is fighting games, the smash brothers community itself?
No it's actually a jump and run, do you know how much jumping and running there is in the game?
I mean jokes aside, there is a *reason* people prefer to "platform fighter" or "arena fighter" or whatever.
What's your argument?
>platform fighter
>arena fighter
So it's a fighting game.
>kazunoko is there
Feel good man
>quake isn't a shooter, it's an arena shooter
thanks for the redundancy
>retards get paid 200k to play some dumbed down fighting game
Only makes me think how much of a joke e-sports is
That isn't yearly either that's over their career how sad.
It's just tournament winnings. They make way more than that from sponsors, streaming, etc.
The point is, at some point the differences in gameplay become so stark it makes sense to differentiate with a new term. Lumping traditional fighting games and smash bros together just isn't sensible, they play completely different, the skillset required to do good at them is an entirely different one. Not every game which features strategy is a strategy game (because that would be nearly every one of them) and not every game featuring fighting is a fighting game (because that would also be pretty much every one).
Well people happily use that term to differentiate it from what most people nowadays think of when you say "fps". Smash fags would like the glory of the oh-so elusive FGC, that's why they so desperately cling to "fighting game" even though their games of choice have fuck all in common with actual fighting games
sonicfox is working on his college degree while competing.
>smash
>fighting game
>Not every game which features strategy is a strategy game
No, but every game where the core gameplay is about strategy is a strategy game.
>Well people happily use that term to differentiate it from what most people nowadays think of when you say "fps".
Literally nobody would correct you if you called Quake an FPS.
>melee
>hard
>Not every game which features strategy is a strategy game
No, but every game where the core gameplay is about strategy is a strategy game.
>Well people happily use that term to differentiate it from what most people nowadays think of when you say "fps".
Literally nobody would autistically correct you if you called Quake an FPS. Think about it for a minute. Think about how fucking retarded saying "Quake isn't an FPS" sounds.
What the fuck is a traditional fighting game anyway? Mike Tyson's Punch Out?
>run around and gun people like CoD
>"strategy"
