First place.

this guy gets it

crash 3 is a fucking masterpiece

I think 2 might be better, but only slightly

Up there with 2 and CTR

Warped is my favorite, I think it's the best Crash game aswell, 2 was my first Crash game and while I love it I think 3 is a bit better, the first one is good aswell. They're all great to be honest.

It's the best, I tried replaying the series and I couldn't bear playing more than half an hour, the games aged awfully, I loved them as a kid but they are not fun anymore. I think I liked them because I didn't have a 64 and couldn't play other games.

I think CTR is honestly my favorite Crash game. It's honestly one of the few games I feel like is worth playing through year after year.

Tied with 2 for best

Crash 2 is the Greatest Crash Coochie ever.

Would be #1 if not for the huge amount of underwater, bike and plane levels dragging it down

CTR > 2 > 3 > 1

If you disagree you're wrong

Godly considering Universal had pretty much booted Naughty Dog devs out into the hallway by that point.

2 > 3 > 1 > woc > twinsanity

Fact about racing levels I found when I was a kid is that if you wait at the starting line until the other racers finished, you could just race to the end and still be first place

position counter only starts after you go past the starting line or something

I have to disagree here. With the exception of the first game, the rest still hold up. The controls are tight and the graphics are still acceptable.

Compare it to something like Goldeneye or SM64 where the controls are cancer incarnate.

not him but crash 3 is way too easy, it feels short and boring

>I think I liked them because I didn't have a 64
i hope you aren't serious, the n64 ran like shit and the controller was total ass

3 > 2 > 1 >>> Wrath >> Dogshit >>> post-2002 crash & spyro games

Gimmicky. Only Crash 1 had a clear purpose to deliver nothing but the best 3D platforming, and levels to show it off in, its devs could make. There was nowhere left to go, except more and more vehicle levels and other characters, which bogged down the other games.

Not as good as Crash 2 but better than Crash 1, with Crash 1 being the 3rd best game overall.

Greater than 2 and 1.

This. They webt overboard with the gimmick levels and the game suffered from it

Fuck the dogfight levels

It was my favorite as a kid and the only one of them I beat 100%, looking back 2's probably better.

tiger levels > dofight levels > racing levels > underwater levels > jetski levels

High points are 1st
Low points are 4th

tiger levels = best levels, niggas will deny but it true

gimmicky pile of bandicoot shit

WoC > Twinsanity

The tiger levels already get a pass since they're just an evolution of the boar and bear riding from 1 & 2

They're slower and have inferior level design, though.

Too many gimmicks/10

I didn't say they were good, just that it makes sense for them to be there. Unlike the racing and flying levels, they have a reason to be included instead of being the same GOTTA ADD MORE gimmicky crap that dragged both Crash and Spyro 3 down

2nd

2>3>1>>GBA games>Twinsanity>Wrath>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>shit>>>>>>>>>>Titans=Mutants

Growing up I loved Crash 3, but after replaying it I think 2 is the better game. 2 has more better level design that builds on the core gameplay, rather than coming up with new gimmicks for levels.

Same way I feel about Spyro as well. Spyro 1 built on the mechanics you learned whereas Spyro 2 and 3 was more focused on side quests and random challenges.

They are all great games though.

Twinsanity > 2 > 1 > 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WoC

woh

Switch jetski and racing and I would agree.

What exactly is wrong with the Titans games (beyond the designs and dialogue)?

youtube.com/watch?v=DT2_c5_CMhY

These are going to look amazing in the N. Sane Trilogy.

>beyond the designs and dialogue

there is no other reason
the game functions, but its not fun, or interesting, plus its not Crash Bandicoot gameplay

2>1>3

My nigga

Although I really think WoC would be massively improved just with no load times.
Now imagine if Twinsanity actually got finished, and the franchise kept going in that direction. ;-;

2 > 3 > 1

Probably the best with 2 very close behind it. Crash 1 is easily the weakest of the 3.

>twinsanity
>being better than the OT

Twinsanity turned a unique platformer game into a generic 3D collectathon platformer

Warped is one of the best and most fun games I have ever played. I wish they would just make it on HD and fixed the streamlines and stuff.

Fucking classic.

um... you must be late to the party

>Beat first world
>It's pretty fun
>Get to tomb level
>Step on switch
>Jump on platform
>Wait for other platform to float towards me
>Platform below me goes into the wall

AAAANNDDD never playing this shit again. Does Crash 2 have the same shitty game design?

holy fuck dude are you incapable of playing a fucking platformer? how shit are you at video games that you cant handle the second fucking world of Crash 3?

One of the greatest games in the fucking world

I've played every Jak game, every 3D Mario platformer aside from Sunshine and 3D world, now playing Banjo Kazooie, and Crash 3 has by far the worst controls that I've ever seen in a 3D platformer.

I tried jumping before the platform below me went into the wall, but the controls are shit. If they would've spent just 5 minutes reworking Crash's physics, the game could've been much greater, but he moves like he has shit in his pants.

>this entire post

youtube.com/watch?v=D12-WqeS2f8

wow... such hard controls... wow that timing is really hard to read man, i understand now

youtube.com/watch?v=GfCIl7jsEJ4
holy shit look at just how bad the physics are in this game, the controls are terrible

>Platform floats right under him

AKA luck

>Autistic speed runner
>Invincibility mask

Hmmm... wow

yeah, cause knowing when to jump is all "luck"

also, if you watch the video, the platform is moving away from him, a normal jump wouldnt have made it, but by knowing the controls (which if you make it to warp room 2 you know them by now) the slide jump can easily reach it.

>Invincibility mask
oh man using a power-up the game gives to you as an advantage, the outrage, hes a cheat

maybe Crash games are just too hard for you
I mean, I had no problems when I was 8, but hey we cant all have the ability to beat the second Warp Room in Warped

Warped > Cortrex Strikes Back > Crash Bandicoot

2 and 3 are basically the best games Naughtydog has ever made. CTR is still great too. Only enjoyed Jak 1 and Daxter on Psp. Jak 2 and 3 reek of unfocused design.

Nigger what

Crash 3s controls are fine. First time ive seen this claim.

>Jak 2 and 3 reek of unfocused design.

>you get damaged if you barely tap someone while on your hoverboard and then trigger police

I still like them but yeah user thats just the tip of the iceburg.

>CTR over 2 let alone over 3

2>3>1
3 would be best, but it has a bit too many gimmicky levels
time trial is a great addition tho

2 > 1 > 3

I agree with the other anons, when 3 is good it's great but there are too many damn gimmick stages.

>Implying CTR isn't Naughty Dogs' Magnum Opus

its not that hard to not hit someone while on the hover board

I like the gimmick stages and time trials are the real meat of the game for me so 3 really wins out. I also like the bosses more.

Crash 3 would be GOAT if they fixed the gimmick level problem.

> replace swimming levels with side scrolling platforming levels in Atlantis style city with brief sections of swimming when you go outside (like River levels in 2had hybrid of Platforming and wake board)
> replace tiger levels with regular Crash levels set on the Great Wall of China
> remove Flying Levels and replace with some WW2 themed normal levels, one of which has you running away from a tank
> keep motorbike levels as is
> keep jet ski levels as is

what constitutes as a "gimmick" level?
how do we determine what a gimmick level is?
obviously the Scuba, Jet Pack, Motorcycle and Plane levels are gimmick levels, but would we also call the Wake Board levels, Ride levels, and Chase levels "gimmick" levels? they arent the traditional level style, but chase and ride levels have been around since the first game

>tfw my mom sold all my Crash Bandicoot games while I was away at college for $2 each :(
Thankfully emulation exists.

>> replace swimming levels with side scrolling platforming levels in Atlantis style city with brief sections of swimming when you go outside (like River levels in 2had hybrid of Platforming and wake board)
would be completely ok with this

>> replace tiger levels with regular Crash levels set on the Great Wall of China
you cant replace the ride levels, Crash 1 and 2 both had ride levels, its a traditional level style/theme just like the chase levels

>> remove Flying Levels and replace with some WW2 themed normal levels, one of which has you running away from a tank
would be ok with this

>> keep motorbike levels as is
>> keep jet ski levels as is
of all the gimmick levels to keep, you pick the 2 that need to be changed?

not that guy, but I'd say anything that isn't the normal platforming in most levels is a gimmick, but that doesn't mean some gimmick levels aren't fun or that all of them were bad

I feel like most people liked the ones that were in 1 and 2, (hog wild, boulder dash, etc) and you mostly hear complaints about 3 because overall they weren't liked as much and comprised a higher % of the stages

I personally did not like the diving, jet ski and plane levels

> keep motorbike levels as is
they were by far the worst levels in all of the franchise
fuck those controls as well

>keep motorbike level

no user, those were horrible

Ok ok.

> return Tiger riding levels to thier original place and maybe add 1 more of them
> remove motor bike levels

but what replace them with? There's 4 of them, and 50s America is a pretty cool setting.

But jet ski levels have to stay. They were fun and were super impressive technically at the time.
