The 70s, 80s, and 90s, all feel like discrete periods with their own personalities, but the last 17 years just feels like one blob of time to me. What videogames from the last 17 years defines this period of time?
The 70s, 80s, and 90s, all feel like discrete periods with their own personalities...
No More Heroes is the only generation defining game
That's just because you're underage.
It still feels like the 90s now, there's just mire tech.
>you'll never be this retarded
Feels good.
Oh Jesus, this is a Reddit repost.
absolutely moronic thread P H A M
op copied a thread from reddit
how do you know
They browse it, but hate other who does it.
>im 17 years old
Undertale
the 00s don't feel like a distinct period to you?
nigga that was the one of the best eras.
It's because you're still in it. 80s still felt like 70s, 90s felt like early 2000s.
However, to bite your bait, the explosion of Internet relation, online gameplay, and the exploding computer industry in general is pretty defining.
I saw this thread on reddit what the heck
>my first memory is a womb
I normally go there, look at the first page and realize it's boring.
Am I from reddit without knowing it?
You have to be a retard if you can't tell the differences between early, mid and later 00s, early 10s, flat meme years and where are we now.
The age of Pepe and Wojak posts.
Yeah, maybe. The shit I pointed out is like for tech in general. And for fuck's sake, we have fucking console generations clearly defined, how can one not see it when a console can influence years of vidya, is beyond me. Literally PS2/3/4 lifetimes fall nicely onto spans I laid out before, with the UI changes taken into account it matches even better.
Talking year on year there might be not that much of a difference, or rather, it's hard to see plus even if you can see some changes comparing different yearly spans, those cuts likely won't fall onto calendar year bounds.
>The 70s, 80s, and 90s, all feel like discrete periods with their own personalities
That's because the media fed that narrative to you. They were retroactively given identities based on simplified memes. The actual 90s were not the same as the 90s as we now understand them. The same thing will be true of this "decade".
FUCK, I just found out im a plebbitor
No ones played it
because when someone says hi didlydoodly you know it's flanders
It's more like technology evolved so fast that we have to separate periods in 5-year-steps instead of 10-year-steps.
BoTW
Minecraft easily
Yes, this is definitely about video games.
How is this not videogames?
