Is this that shitty online game that was hyped because it kinda resembles STALKER?

When did it come out?
I've seen Escape from Tarkov Developer's 2016 Report, quite interesting.

It's kinda what happens when you make DayZ a lot more focused on close quarter combat, while I wish they had made a proper singleplayer game Escape from Tarkov is really fun.

You have to be super careful all the time, walking through a bush or on metal is pretty loud, guns are physical, meaning that using an assault rifle in close quarters isn't that easy, you can change your walking speed with your mousewheel, you have to pick up magazines you dropped up again after reloading, fuckton of gun costumization from the stock, grip to the receiver, you can take over an AI once per hour and try to ruin the other players day.

It's genuinely fun, but Sup Forums will dismiss it as survival garbage anyway.

Where is it at right now in terms of development, and is there a release date? I've been keeping watch on this for a bit now.

The terrain is great but the AT-ST's look out of place and bad for some reason. They also look small as hell.

I've seen this game in action a few times, none of my friends that bought it early still play it. It's bland and has shit gunplay. Honestly I'd rather play half finished DayZ than that garbage.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for a singleplayer, there is AI but it is mainly a PVP game, there will be a campaign of sorts though, like I said, the game is a lot more focused on close quarter combat and maps are a lot smaller than what you see in other Survival games.

There will be ten raids, which is sort of like a campaign. Players spawn into a map, need to find gear and loot, watch out for players and ai, and extract again. There will also be a free roam area aswell as two arenas.

Outside the raids players can store, sell and buy equipment from traders who will also be able to give you sidequests

That's a misconception. If a lawyer, yes you'd have to hide one or do a class action lawsuit since kickstarter won't do anything about it... so pray the kickstarter you donate to gets whales. Anyway, even after getting a lawyer, you have to prove the money was squandered. If the devs just say they spent it all working on the game and ran out of funds, then you cannot get your money back. The only way you'reenitled a refund is if they spend it on vacations and cars, then never delivered.
