Is this quite possibly the most aesthetically pleasing game ever made?

Is this quite possibly the most aesthetically pleasing game ever made?

>a hyperbolic Bloodborne post

ah, truly a new and fresh idea to start a thread with!

Bloodborne looks good, I guess, but From Software games all are quite bland to look at.

>gravestones cluttered fucking everywhere
No.

the absolutely amazing art direction is the reason it's almost my favorite game in the series.
the fact that I have to play it at a low resolution at 24fps on my ps4 is the reason it's not my favorite.

it's a shame.

Yes, some people praise impressive set pieces in games like Halo or CoD, but Bloodborne feels like one huge setpiece. Every single corner of the game looks like a painting it's impressive really.

if you're a cradle of filth fan or a magic the gathering autist who unironically thinks he's a badass because he plays black maybe

Old Hunters has no colors

Looks like an early 360 game

Journey

Thats not Wind Waker, so no.

no, tw3 beat it that year alone in aesthetics and its not even close to one of the best of all time.
BB is literally just
>edgy grimdark cthulu rip off: the game

Nigger, The Witcher is a pretty good game, with great graphics but it isn't even close to having a better art direction than Bloodborne has. w3 is pretty much the same as any other generic medieval world but with better graphics.

>better art direction than Bloodborne has

lol, come on now user, at least The Witcher 3 has some variety, Bloodborne looks the fucking same anywhere you are.

From starts with good aesthetic ideas, then ruins them with their post-apoc lore because they all suffer from chronic depression there.

How 90% of the executives survived a high school suicide is beyond me.

>not playing black

user...

It's called consistency. And no it doesn't look the same everywhere you can literally look at any screenshot and immediately know exactly in what area of the game it was taken.

Okami exists.

nope not on pc.

witcher 3 is far more aesthetic.

next.

is that supposed to be grass on the ground there?

>It's called consistency

Which, taken too far, makes things extremely boring.

Bloodborne takes it way too far. The only area that looks significantly different to anywhere else is the forest.

>game about never-ending war with mechs and a bajillion factions
>why is everything grey and destroyed???

>chromatic aberration
fuck no

Gravity Rush 2

On a monitor BB has soo much shimmering, I wish it had an AA option on the PS4pro.

>30fps
>no dismemberment gore/gibbing

"""""aesthetically pleasing"""""

The entire game takes place in one city, with a very xenophobic culture. Why would it have drastically different looking sections?

All the games that have had dismemberment gore that I've seen, have had very little blood.

So if bloodborne had dismemberment gore Fromsoft would delete all blood from the game.
Got it.
makes sense

Make sense.

Well it would be better with dismemberment, sure.

But the game you posted looks like shit user, especially the blood, so it doesn't really help your argument.

In my opinion it unironically is, actually. The game is simply breathtaking in terms of environmental design. It actually is a damn shame that there's no way to play the game at 60fps. I think the complaints about it being "edgy" are totally off. The game doesn't even feel edgy to me. It feels otherworldly and just has a spookiness to it. Reminds me of exploring cemeteries in the woods when I was younger.

>Dismemberment somehow makes a game more aesthetically pleasing

look at brutal doom and l4d2 then.
You must not play many games

>sickdark
no

Brutal doom looks like ass, and l4d2 enemies are like papermache.

There's really no point talking to somebody who is literally blind.

creating your own aesthetic is the best answer

implying it looks good to begin with
Its like im looks at plastic toys

You know he's right, so quit this bullshit argument

Theres no point in talking to some one with ass burger.
Have a nice life.

For reasons that are apparently above your meager imaginations ability to grasp.

>That cool as fuck tower that causes frenzy in the Nightmare of Mensis

It might be because I was little high at the time, but that left the biggest impression on me. A tower that lights up as you approach, and causes frenzy. Like something straight out of an HP Lovecraft short story.

I was going to say Journey, but I came to the conclusion that I actually think Bloodborne is prettier.

>Brutal doom looks like ass

What are shit opinions for 200

Oh I get it, you probably liked DAS2 volcano on top of a windmill. I would have never imagine something like that with my meager imagination that's for sure.

Only reason to be butthurt is how many people chose fallout 4

Just like Dark Souls 1 takes place mostly in one city and it has extremely varied AND consistent environments.

Wow user, thanks for proving me right.
