>so, how is it going?
Good just finished my third Divine Beast and bought a house.
>are you having fun?
Yes, best game I've played in a while.
I got bored after the third divine beast since it was pretty much a copy of the other two with very slight variations. and I remember getting excited when I saw a chest in zelda games, now I barely bother to open them - "oh look, another fucking rock"
>Good just finished my third Divine Beast
one left then. which one?
>bought a house
best side quest incoming
Stopped playing When Persona 5 dropped. Might just wait til the hard mode dlc comes out and restart the playthrough.
Vah Rudania, looking forward to seeing more Gorons.
dead game
I am doing my first divine beast Vah Medoh, I've been so busy just exploring.
Grinding out Koroks til I have enough to max my inventory. I gotta find the last few sidequests too.
you need like 450 seeds
> did all 120 shrines, but still have a shrine quest left
fucking how?
Do the 121st shrine
>Winterwing Butterfly
WHERE
Why wouldn't I have fun?
715 Korok Seeds down, only 185 to go. It takes such a long time to go through all of them, but it's been mostly fun so far.
What's that?
Finally went and got the Master Sword. Two devine beasts, 71 shrines, ~190 Korok seeds.

Totally lacks the gameplay characteristics of a zelda game in general

S-starting to see a pattern here, boys?
>An Ice Guy
An Ice GuyTalk to Guy to start the quest. You can set this quest as the objective marker to find him again for the turnin.
An Ice GuyHe will give you a purple rupee for a Chilly Elixir. You can make one by cooking a Winterwing Butterfly with a monster part.
The bait sucks

Breath of the wild SUCKS
100% done, except for a missing Kilton medal. I'll get it done before DLC but need a break after 185h.
MY DICK
About the same damn amount Im at. Not bored yet. Im doing area by area till it's done and move onto the next tower to do more. 4 sections left, almost all my armor is level 4, one divine beast left and 19 shrines. Most weapons are in the 60 to 77 range. Still not bored.
After koroks i plan on finishimg side quests before finally heading to ganon. Itll be piss easy from what i was told but its about the journey for me. When i beat ganon i want that percentage to be at 99% with one thing missing. I think i only have like 10 things missing in the compendium.
Stopped playing it when Nier came out. I'd rather go back and play TMS instead. BotW is good, but I just get bored after doing the same shit like in every other open world game
Same user here. Forgot to post last night I was around 213 hours. I think maybe 30 of those were idle hours.
If you're playing it like the typical story driven open world you're doing it wrong desu
>2 months after release
>still havent saved up enough good boy points to buy a switch
I only get one per day
They patched the frame rate like a month ago
What a compelling argument.

You can use any ingredient that has a description that mentions "heat resistance" for the chilly exilir
I'm at 111 Shrines. I have 5 left to find in the world, and 4 quests to complete. I'm excited for that tunic, boys. I saved beating the game for after all 120.
The tunic looks like fucking shit, sadly. The hat looks silly as hell now that I am used to hatless link
>I saved beating the game for after all 120.
same
also all side quests and other stuff
I'm used to silly sets though, I wear barbarian everywhere during the day and sheikah at night.
Barbarian is far from silly. It's pretty good and cool looking
Now if you want to talk silly talk "I have a shirne on my head"'guardian set
I dyed mine red, no other color looked good to me. Thoughts on the navy dye though?
It's pretty shite desu. Red is the only way to go
>tfw just hunting down Talus, Hinox, and Koroks
They should have made more things affect the % and scaled it differently. I'm nearly 500 Koroks and still sub 70%. Still haven't used a guide but I'm about to.
The % is for map completion, not game completion.
That's why the scaling is the way it is. It makes sense as soon as you realize that.
People say the game has no music
Post favorite music 1-5

Holy shit I thought I was the only one who felt like it sounded like Star Wars music, especially at the start
can you explore an entire castle, no matter which entrance you choose?
Yup. You can go anywhere.
Protip: Try not too cheese it with bird fart
>The combat sucks
Objectively wrong
Holy shit that's pretty cool.
>throw boomerang
>lizalfos fucking catches it
The weapons could have more unqiue movesets though, which would encourage experimentation and force you to learn more weapons. But focus on making them all fun so most people don't mind switching, of course this will work together with a durability system
I hope the next game keeps durability but ups it by 2x and makes switching easier. Also add blacksmiths that can repair, make and upgrade weapons
I've done all the Divine Beast dungeons and am looking for stuff to do before I fight Ganon.
I was really enjoying the game as it's own thing, but now the bloom is off the rose and I just miss all the aspects of Zelda which they abandoned.
Like the game is amazing until you really think about all the enemies that are missing and all the different themed dungeons which are lost in favor of four variants of the same thing, as well as a total lack of side quests with any real substance or meaningful rewards.
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt considering it's largely experimental, but I really want way more substance next time, which I hope won't be too long, since this makes me long for a real one.
Blows the combat of its competitors like TW3 and skyrim out of the water
More timed battles would have been fun.
Of course the next one will be more meaty. You can tell how much time they spent on the engine of this game alone. Next Zelda should come in 3-4 years
It's probably just some guy you have to report back to.
...
>next Zelda adds meaty as fuck dungeons, more runes, TP sword skills, a meatier story and retains its amazing overworld
How will they top themselves for the next next Zelda? Will Zelda reach its true peak sooner than we think?
Nope. I did the main entrance but missed a parry and fell off. Didn't care, the tunnels were dank.
so you can't
or you can?
Supposedly there a bug where bird man leaves before you can accept it if you did the shine before you saw him.
Going to post this in the /vg/ thread as well but can someone make one of those two hour loop videos of someone dropping a rock on a koroks head. Please anons.
found 2 memories today, 2 to go, one is in Hyrule castle obviously, where is the one where you can see only trees?
What did he mean by this?
No really what? Tunnels are dark, so you didn't care?
You can. Just don't enter the boss room, which is obvious anyways
thank god
>dank
Yeah you can go anywhere, you're actively encouraged to go the castle and snoop around and leave without tackling the final boss. It'd necessary if you want to complete certain side quests.
But the whole game is designed so you can go anywhere and do anything. Nothing is off limits.
Shit he may as well try ganon early, all it does is nothing aside from being a harder fight than the very end after you doo all 4 dealies.
Oh fuck sorry user
Have a (You) as an apology

What the fuck is that image
>103 shrines
>can't find anymore
>dont want to use walkthrough
help
>No dungeons
>no one cares, it's not about that and it was never good in zelda anyway
That's actually correct, though. The best a dungeon has ever been in Zelda was Stone Tower Temple from MM. By and large they all consist of the same menial tasks where you push blocks, shoot an arrow at something, or use the dungeon item in some extremely obvious manner to progress to the end. Play more than just a few Zelda titles and the appeal gradually fades as you start to know exactly what to expect and what to do. This is where BotW's dungeons come in - they switch things up by employing the use of spatial reasoning that was previously only rarely present in the series before. Despite its short length, Vah Naboris is one of the best dungeons in years.
Besides that though, the goal of BotW was to focus strongly on overworld exploration, and the best way to do that was breaking the dungeon elements up into smaller shrines in order to uphold the pacing of the game. The puzzles you'd expect from a dungeon are all there, they're just presented to you differently and that's completely fine because it's consistent with the central themes and objectives of what the game tries to achieve. Criticizing it because it didn't choose to implement some arbitrary, frankly tired element of 7-8 overly lengthy dungeons is being narrow-minded and missing the point entirely.
Some shrines won't ping on your radar. Some are hidden as side quests.
Have fun wandering around in the wilderness. I didn't use a walkthrough until I got 110 shrines
BotW's dungeons had the best structure and layouts that Zelda's seen in a very long time.
>as well as a total lack of side quests with any real substance or meaningful rewards
Many of the shrine quests are the most substantial side quests a Zelda title has ever had.
Still missing 17?
Just go to places you haven't been before.
Nigga, I LOVE the game. It's one of the best games ever made. But even I'm not going to defend that.
Hateno Village
Molduga
Hyrule Castle
Rito Village
All of the trailer montages
Caves
You cant still be playing this, surely
Yes I am, and don't call me Shirley.
>Nigga, I LOVE the game
And?
That doesn't make the whining about dungeons any less of an empty, shallow criticism at best.
